
Mumbai megablock alert: Mail/Express trains diverted, local services hit on Central Railway's Main and Harbour lines today

Due to the block, there will be diversions of Mail/Express trains, including LTT-bound trains, to be re-diverted on the 6th line at Vidyavihar station.
The trains diverted today include Train No 11010 Pune-CSMT Sinhagad Express, Train No 12124 Pune-CSMT Deccan Queen, Train No 13201 Patna-LTT Express, Train No 17221 Kakinada-LTT Express, Train No 12126 Pune-CSMT Pragati Express, Train No 12140 Nagpur-CSMT Express, Train No 22226 Solapur-CSMT Vande Bharat Express, Train No 12168 Banaras-LTT Express, Train No 12321 Howrah-CSMT Express, Train No 12812 Hatia-LTT Express, and Train No 11012 Solapur-CSMT Vande Bharat Express.
On the Harbour line, the block is on the Up and Down lines between Panvel and Vashi stations (excluding the PORT line) from 11.05 am to 4.05 pm today. Special local trains will run on the CSMT Mumbai-Vashi section during the block period.
Trans-harbour line services will be available between Thane-Vashi/Nerul stations during the block period. PORT line services will be available between Belapur/Nerul and Uran stations during the block period.
"These maintenance mega blocks are essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused," added CR Chief Spokesperson Swapnil Nila.

Smoke from AC coach halts Jayanti Express at Nandalur station
Tension gripped the passengers on the Kanyakumari–Pune Jayanti Express on Sunday after thick smoke billowed out from one of the AC coaches while passing through Nandalur station in Annamayya district on the Renigunta-Guntakal section. According to information, smoke was noticed beneath the B2 AC coach when the train was negotiating a curve. This led to panic among the passengers, who immediately passed on the information to the train guard, following which the train was brought to a sudden halt at Nandalur station. The technical teams rushed to the spot and conducted inspections. The crew rectified the snag, which was attributed to friction in the brake system. After a thorough safety check, the train resumed its journey with a minor delay.

Megablock on Mumbai suburban railway; no blocks on Western suburban
MUMBAI: Central Railway's Mumbai Division is conducting a megablock on its suburban network for essential engineering and maintenance work. On the Main Line, a block is in place on the Up and Down slow lines between Thane and Kalyan stations from 11 am to 4 pm. During this time, Up slow/semi-fast trains leaving Kalyan between 10.36 am and 3.51 pm will be diverted via the Up fast line between Kalyan and Mulund. These trains will halt at Dombivli, Diva, Mumbra, Kalwa, and Thane before switching back to the Up slow line at Mulund. They are expected to reach their destination approximately 10 minutes late. On the Harbour Line, a block is in effect between Panvel and Vashi from 11.05 am to 4.05 pm, and at Panvel from 11.05 am to 5.05 pm for MRVC-related work. Special local trains will run on the CSMT–Vashi section during the block. Trans-Harbour Line services will continue to operate between Thane and Vashi/Nerul, and Port Line services will also remain available. There will be no block on the Western Railway suburban section today. Additionally, to carry out maintenance on tracks, signalling systems, and overhead equipment, a night block was undertaken from 12.15 am to 3.15 am on Sunday at Vasai Road Yard, affecting all goods lines and Diva lines.

Nagpur: To ensure safe and smooth passenger movement during the anticipated heavy rush on the occasion of Urs at Tajbagh, Central Railway's Nagpur Division has implemented a temporary restriction on the sale of platform tickets at Nagpur and Ajni Railway Stations for a period of four days, from Tuesday, July 22, to Friday, July 25, 2025. The measure aims to regulate crowd movement on the platforms and minimise inconvenience to passengers. However, platform tickets will be issued to those accompanying senior citizens, ailing passengers, women passengers, children, illiterate individuals, and others who may require assistance and are unable to manage independently.
