The PCC president who was in Nellore for participating in party general body meeting spoke with media persons at Congress party district office Indira Bhavan in the city on Tuesday.
She said that except 3 LPG Gas Cylinders and Talliki Vandanam schemes, the remaining Mahasakthi, Annadatha Sukhebhava, Free bus travel for women, unemployed wage to unemployed are yet to be implemented despite one year of rule of coalition government emerged to power in 2024 elections.
She has pointed out that LPG Gas Cylinders, Talliki Vandanam schemes are also not properly implemented, and 45 lakhs farmers are listed under Annadatha Sukhibhava Scheme against 80 lakhs farmers existing in the State.
She also pointed out that Gravity Based Project(GBP) Polavaram project turned like Lift Irrigation Scheme(LIS) following reduction of its height from 45 meters to 41.5 meters.
She alleged that injustice is being made to the Andhra Pradesh in various issues like Special Category Status (SCS) Visakha Railway Zone, as MPs representing from both coalition and YSR Congress parties have no guts to question the BJP led NDA government in the Parliament because they turned ' Puppets' in the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their parties vested interest.
While asserting the need of Rahul Gandhi to become Prime Minister of India, especially in the interest of AP development, YS Sharmila claimed that this was the reason party high command deployed her as PCC president.
While recalling the incident in which a person was crushed to death after falling under the Jagan Mohan Reddy's vehicle in his recent tour, the PCC leader questioned that why the government allowing 'Jagan' for such tours causing of Law & Order issues in the State.
' I don't understand several times government arrested me when launched fast unto death over Visakha Railwat Zone, and failure of the government over implementing of Super Six issues but it is allowing 'Jagan' to conduct tours for showing 'Bala Pradarsana' in the name of 'Odarpu Yatra' she pointed out.

TDP MPs seek Defence Ministry support for manufacturing hubs in Andhra Pradesh
A delegation of senior Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Members of Parliament met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday (July 25, 2025) and submitted a proposal from Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, seeking the establishment of defence manufacturing units in the State. The delegation, led by MP Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayulu, and comprising MPs Magunta Srinivas Reddy and Daggumalla Prasada Rao, urged the Union Minister to support the creation of a defence production hub in Andhra Pradesh. As part of a comprehensive defence development plan for the State, the MPs presented a proposal for the establishment of four defence and aerospace manufacturing hubs, facilitation of defence investments and strategic projects, and the creation of a Statewide defence industry ecosystem. The proposal stated that these initiatives are aligned with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, and are aimed at strengthening India's strategic capabilities while driving industrial growth and employment generation in Andhra Pradesh. 'We seek your kind consideration and approval for recognising the proposed defence hubs and supporting the outlined initiatives. This will enable Andhra Pradesh to emerge as a key pillar in India's defence and aerospace manufacturing ecosystem, and significantly contribute to national security, indigenisation, and self-reliance efforts,' the proposal read.

Naidu lays out roadmap before Rajnath for defence sector investments in A.P.
In a determined bid to establish Andhra Pradesh as a national leader in defence and aerospace manufacturing, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has put forward a proposal to the Union Government, aiming to attract major strategic investments to the State. A delegation of senior Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Members of Parliament met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi on Thursday and submitted the Chief Minister's proposals, which outline a multi-pronged roadmap for defence development in the region. The delegation, led by MP Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayulu and joined by MPs Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy and Daggumalla Prasada Rao, conveyed Mr. Naidu's vision to transform Andhra Pradesh into a robust defence production hub. They submitted two detailed communications from the Chief Minister — both dated May 19 — laying out plans for setting up defence corridors, reviving existing infrastructure, and partnering with the Centre on high-impact manufacturing projects. At the core of the proposal is the establishment of four major defence and aerospace manufacturing clusters strategically located across the State. These include a missile and ammunition production zone in Jaggaiahpet–Donakonda, an aircraft and defence electronics hub in Lepakshi–Madakasira, a naval equipment and weapons testing complex in Visakhapatnam–Anakapalli, and a drone and robotics manufacturing unit in Kurnool–Orvakal region. Together, these clusters would cover over 23,000 acres and serve as the backbone of the State's defence industrial ecosystem. In addition to these hubs, the proposal seeks Central support for a ₹2,400 crore BEL Strategic Complex at Palasamudram and calls for the revival of the aluminium alloy plant of Utkal Alumina and Defence Ltd. (UADNL) in Nellore, which has a capacity of 60,000 TPA. Other projects outlined include land allocation for HAL's expansion plans, establishing an MRO and assembly facility for the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) program at Lepakshi–Madakasira, and setting up an Air Force Station at Donakonda to support nearby UAV and missile test ranges. Naval SEZ The letter also proposes a Naval SEZ and training centre in Visakhapatnam to support the Eastern Naval Command and allied operations. A DRDO Industry-Academia Centre of Excellence at IIT Tirupati has been suggested to strengthen R&D and innovation in collaboration with academia. To coordinate and oversee the scale of these initiatives, the proposal recommends engaging NITI Aayog, defence industry veterans, and scientific experts, including former DRDO Chairman G. Satheesh Reddy, to guide Andhra Pradesh's transition into a nationally significant defence manufacturing State. In his communication, Mr. Naidu emphasised that these proposals are aligned with the national vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat and are aimed at strengthening India's self-reliance in defence technologies. He highlighted the dual goals of enhancing national security and creating large-scale employment and industrial growth in Andhra Pradesh. He also requested the Defence Ministry's recognition and support for the projects, stating that the proposed hubs will help the State emerge as a key contributor to India's defence and aerospace sector. The outreach marks a renewed and strategic push by Mr. Naidu to attract the country's largest defence investments and position Andhra Pradesh as a future-ready hub for innovation, manufacturing, and strategic capability.

Revanth Reddy should make way for Ponnam Prabhakar or Mahesh Kumar Goud as CM: BJP president
Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao suggested that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy should quit and hand over the post to his Cabinet colleague Ponnam Prabhakar or PCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud, both of them belonging to the Backward Classes (BCs) if he was really sincere about the BC welfare. In an informal interaction with the media at the State party office on Friday, Mr. Rao 'thanked' Mr. Reddy for making the suggestion of making former Governor Bandaru Dattatreya as the next Vice President and said the party will take a call on that and offered his own piece of advice to the CM. The BJP leader has accused Mr. Reddy of insulting the entire BC community with his comments that Prime Minister Modi belonged to a 'converted BC caste' and wanted to know what religion or caste his (CM) leader Rahul Gandhi belonged to. The Chief Minister should be given a 'Goebbels Prize' for all kinds of propaganda he was indulging in, he said and demanded the Congress first fulfil the promise of 42% quota for the BC in the local body polls by amending Section 285 of the Panchayat Raj Act to make it 'legally strong'. Mr. Rao said the Telangana government caste census cannot be a role model for the country when it had reduced the BCs numbers. It was unfair and outrageous to add 'all the Muslims' in the 10% quota out of the 42% BC quota when only a few castes like 'dudekulas', 'hajis' and 'pakirs' were included in the BC-B category earlier. The Congress government has made only two persons from among BC as Cabinet Ministers whereas the majority of Ministers in the Modi Cabinet belonged to BCs, he said. The BJP chief also dismissed about the internal fights in the party as a 'family' issue and said the Central leadership is seized of the issue. He would soon constitute a new State committee with 20 persons and 33% posts would be given to women. There is no pressure on him about the new party posts and wanted the aspirants to go to the people and fight on public issues.
