Cause determined after fire breaks out at Rocky River Brewing Company, injuring 2 firefighters
I-480 ramp to Tiedeman closed for police incident
Rocky River Fire Department Fire Chief Aaron Leonhart confirmed to FOX 8 Wednesday that the cause of the fire was roofing construction. Workers were reportedly applying a new roof and it's likely that hot tools were used, causing the fire.
First responders were called to the Center Ridge Road property after a call came in around 11:15 a.m. reporting a fire had broken out.
Leonhart spoke with reporters Tuesday afternoon, saying that two firefighters were injured in the blaze and taken to the hospital.
Leonhart said the fire was burning for over an hour at the top of the building, before being put out. Fire crews from all over the west side were called to help, and the state fire marshal is also investigating.

Both firefighters who were injured are doing well Wednesday. One was kept overnight for observation. One suffered heat related injuries and the other had a medical issue, according to Leonhart.
The popular brewery posted to Facebook on Tuesday, thanking everyone for their support:
Our hearts are heavy today, but more than anything, we are grateful. Grateful that everyone is safe. Grateful for the outpouring of love from our friends, family, and community.
A sincere thank you to the incredible firefighters and first responders who acted so quickly and bravely.
The damage to the building is estimated to be $3 million. The brewery is closed until further notice.
