
Commissioner directs officials to focus on PGRS
The Commissioner has conducted meeting with departments heads, senior assistants, junior assistants of all departments at Command Control Centre (CCC) in the corporation building here on Friday.
While questioning the credibility of the officials of their failure in addressing representations in time bound manner, the commissioner has pointed out that such type of negligence causes prevail unrest among the petitioners.
He pointed out that the petitioners are repeatedly rounding the office to know their status of representation due to lack of proper communication from the consent departments.
While saying that government is giving top priority for the petitions received during PGRS, the commissioner has directed departments to feel responsible for dispatching the representations related to various services by effectively implementing the Service Level Agreement (SLA) in the interest of public.
He directed the legal cell division officials to show special attention for disposal of court cases without delay.
The commissioner directed officials to compulsory enroll the facial recognition-based attendance tracking through implementation APFRS app initiated by the government.
Nellore Municipal Corporation Manager Inaitullah, and others were present.

Ensure timely redressal of grievances
Anantapur: Acting District Collector Shiv Narayan Sharma conducted the Praja Samasya Parishkara Vedika (Public Grievance Redressal System - PGRS) at the Revenue Bhavan in Anantapur Collectorate on Monday. Citizens from various mandals across the district submitted petitions addressing a wide range of issues. Alongside the Acting Collector, assistant collector Sachin Rahar, district revenue officer A Malola, forest settlement officer G Ramakrishna Reddy, special deputy collectors Tippenayak, Anand, Rammohan, Mallikarjunudu, and district agriculture Officer Umamaheswaramma were present to receive petitions. A total of 612 petitions were received during the programme. Speaking on the occasion, Collector Sharma directed officials to ensure qualitative and timely resolution of grievances. He emphasised that district-level officers from relevant departments must treat each grievance seriously, interact respectfully with petitioners, and ensure effective communication and resolution. He mentioned that monitoring is being done at the CMO (Chief Minister's Office) level, and each petition should be followed up with proper endorsements. He instructed that all applications must be carefully reviewed and resolved with speed, impartiality, and within stipulated timelines, avoiding unnecessary delays or backlogs beyond SLA (Service Level Agreement). Field-level inquiries should be conducted at the mandal level, and petitioners must be given proper receipts and timely feedback on the status of their grievances. Every complaint must be endorsed, and officials must prevent situations where complaints go unacknowledged. The Collector further advised revenue divisional officers, municipal commissioners, tahsildars and MPDOs to focus on petitions under their jurisdiction and resolve them quickly. He also called for swift response to issues routed through the CMO, MPs, MLCs and MLAs. In addition to PGRS, he urged for acceleration of land acquisition, revenue services and resurvey work across villages. Pending tasks under P-4 guidelines must be fully reported and addressed promptly. District revenue officer Malola, during the meeting, highlighted the need for vigilance during the monsoon season to prevent the spread of seasonal diseases. She called on officials from departments such as Municipal Administration, RWS, Panchayat Raj, Medical & Health, Revenue, Police, Disaster Management, and Electricity to take proactive preventive measures. Officials were instructed to prevent leakages in pipelines, ensure water purity, avoid stagnation, and maintain hygiene by using chlorine, bleaching powder and regular spraying in sensitive areas. Several senior officials attended the programme, including: ZP CEO Shiva Shankar, CPO Ashok Kumar, DPO Nagaraju Naidu, DRDA PD Shailaja, DMHO Dr E B Devi, District Sainik Welfare Officer P Thimmappa, RWS SE Suresh, Housing PD Shailaja, DTC Veerraju, DMWO Ramasubbareddy, Survey AD Rupal Nayak, Section Superintendents Yugeshwari Devi, Vasanthalatha, Riazuddin,PGRS tahsildar Vanishree, Mandal, district and constituency-level officials from various departments.

Pending land issues resolved in PGRS
Anantapur: District Collector Dr Vinod Kumar, participated in the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) programme held at the Revenue Bhavan in Anantapur Collectorate on Monday morning. During the session, he personally received petitions from citizens regarding various issues, aiming for immediate resolution. Joint Collector Shivanarayan Sharma, assistant collector Sachin R Har, DRO Malola, SDCs Mallikarjuna, Anand, Tippe Naik, FSO Ramakrishna Reddy, and JD Agriculture Uma Maheswaramma also attended and actively participated in addressing public concerns. Speaking at the event, Collector Dr Vinod Kumar instructed DWAMA and RWS officials to implement large-scale water conservation efforts in villages facing drinking water shortages. He emphasised community involvement in the innovative 'Save Water-Use Water' campaign, which includes constructing soak pits near public taps and borewells, and developing farm ponds under the NREGS scheme to enhance rainwater harvesting. In a heartwarming moment, the Collector resolved a six-year-old land dispute involving retired army veteran G Mahmood from Guntakal. The veteran had been allotted 5 acres of land by the government, which was unlawfully occupied. The Collector ensured the removal of encroachments, updated land records, and issued an NOC, bringing immediate relief. In gratitude, Mahmood's daughters, G Habeebunnisa Begum and G Saheba Begum, met the Collector during the PGRS session. Standing in line like other petitioners, they honoured Dr. Vinod Kumar with a shawl and flower bouquet, expressing heartfelt thanks to the government for the timely and just resolution. The session witnessed participation from officials of various departments and numerous petitioners across the district.

Collector warns late-coming officials
Vijayawada: NTR district collector G Lakshmisha has instructed the district officials to maintain punctuality in attending duty for Public Grievances Redressal System (PGRS) at the district Collectorate on every Monday. He noticed some district officials came to the Collectorate late on Monday and expressed displeasure over not attending the duty on time. He instructed the staff to close the meeting hall sharp at 9.30 am. The district administration every Monday conducts the PGRS at the Collectorate to solve the grievances of the people. Lakshmisha has warned that he would not hesitate to suspend the district officials who come late for the duty. He made it clear that any official failing to report to the Grievance Hall by 9:30 am would face suspension without exception. He made a surprise inspection and noticed some officials attended the hall late although prior communication had been sent from the District Revenue Officer instructing officials to attend the meeting by 9:30 am. Dr Lakshmisha instructed the staff to submit the attendance register by 10:00 am. He made it clear that any official arriving late or absent without prior permission will be suspended. He reiterated that punctuality is the true measure of an officer's work discipline. The collector urged all officials to work with the spirit of 'Team NTR' and treat the development of the district and resolution of public grievances as a collective responsibility. He called on everyone to strive to place NTR district at the forefront in governance and service delivery. Later, he announced that a total of 138 petitions were received during the session and the grievances will be addressed. He visited Ignite Cell arranged at the Collectorate and spoke to the officials. He instructed the officials of the Department of employment and training to conduct job melas and help the youth get jobs.
