2025 Wimbledon: Alcaraz to Face Sinner in Men's Final
Rana Atef On Friday, the final of 2025 Wimbledon men's title was officially set as World No. 1 Jannik Sinner and No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz both won their semifinals. Sinner defeated Djokovic in straight sets 6-3, 6-3, 6-4. It seemed that Djokovic suffered an injury during the game. After the match, Djokovic said: 'I don't think it's bad fortune. It's just age," Djokovic said Friday. "The wear and tear of the body. As much as I'm taking care of it, the reality hits me right now the last year and a half like never before, to be honest." He added: "It's tough for me to accept that because I feel like when I'm fresh and fit, I can still play very good tennis. I've proven that this year. Playing best of five, particularly this year, has been a real struggle for me physically. The longer the tournament goes, the worse the condition gets. I reached the semis of every slam this year. I have to play Sinner or [Carlos] Alcaraz. These guys are fit, young, sharp." He concluded: "And I feel like I'm going into the match with the tank half empty. It's just not possible to win the match like that. It is what it is. It's one of those things you just have to accept and embrace in some way, deal with reality the way it is and try to make the most out of it." In the earlier semifinal, the defending champion Alcaraz knocked Fritz off 6-4, 5-7, 6-3, 7-6(6). Alcaraz has won the latest two editions of Wimbledon, and he is looking for a third consecutive Wimbledon title. The final will take place on Sunday. read more Japan Stun Spain 2-1 to Qualify for World Cup Last 16 World Cup 2022: Get to Know Confirmed Line-ups of Japan and Spain Group E Decider Saudi Arabia Bid Farewell to World Cup after 2-1 Loss to Mexico Tunisia Achieve Historic Win over France but Fail to Qualify Tunisia to Clash against France in World Cup Sports Get to Know Squad of Group D Teams in World Cup Sports Al Ahly Gift EGP 70,000 to Players After Claiming Egyptian Super Cup Title Sports Bencharki Hits First 2 Goals with Al Jazira Since Leaving Zamalek Sports Arsenal Possible Line-up for Nottingham Forest News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language

Liverpool to Immortalize No. 20 to Honor Jota
Rana Atef On Friday, 2024/2025 English Premier League champions Liverpool announced immortalizing the number 20 in not only the first football team but also all football teams in the club. The decision came to honor the memory of their late star Diogo Jota, who passed away last week. Liverpool said in an official statement, "After consultation with his wife, Rute, and family, the club can announce the squad number will be retired in honour and memory of Diogo across all levels, including LFC Women and Academy." 'As a club, we were all acutely aware of the sentiment of our supporters—and we felt exactly the same way,' said Michael Edwards, FSG CEO of Football. 'It was vitally important to us to involve Diogo's wife, Rute, and his family in the decision and to ensure they were the first to know of our intention. 'I believe this is the first time in Liverpool Football Club's history that such an honour has been bestowed upon an individual. Therefore, we can say this is a unique tribute to a uniquely wonderful person. 'By retiring this squad number, we are making it eternal – and therefore never to be forgotten. read more Japan Stun Spain 2-1 to Qualify for World Cup Last 16 World Cup 2022: Get to Know Confirmed Line-ups of Japan and Spain Group E Decider Saudi Arabia Bid Farewell to World Cup after 2-1 Loss to Mexico Tunisia Achieve Historic Win over France but Fail to Qualify Tunisia to Clash against France in World Cup Sports Get to Know Squad of Group D Teams in World Cup Sports Al Ahly Gift EGP 70,000 to Players After Claiming Egyptian Super Cup Title Sports Bencharki Hits First 2 Goals with Al Jazira Since Leaving Zamalek Sports Arsenal Possible Line-up for Nottingham Forest News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language

Israeli Military Confirms Drone Crash in Southern Lebanon
Taarek Refaat The Israeli military confirmed on Friday that one of its drones crashed in southern Lebanon during the night, attributing the incident to a technical malfunction. The military statement emphasized that there were no concerns about sensitive information being leaked. In a statement published by Yedioth Ahronoth, Israel's prominent newspaper, the military clarified that the drone's failure was caused by a technical issue and assured that there was no risk of security breaches. "The drone crashed due to a technical malfunction, and there are no concerns regarding the leak of sensitive information," the statement read. An investigation into the incident is currently underway. Earlier reports by Lebanese media outlet Al-Mayadeen, which is closely associated with Hezbollah, claimed that the Israeli drone had targeted a vehicle in the Kfarkila region of southern Lebanon before it crashed and exploded. While the Lebanese outlet suggested an attack on a vehicle, the Israeli military has not confirmed these allegations. This incident comes amid heightened security tensions along the Lebanese-Palestinian border, with increasing use of drones by both sides for surveillance and targeted operations. The use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) has become more prevalent in recent months as the region experiences escalating hostilities and military activity. The crash is likely to add further strain to an already volatile situation. While Israel has often used drones for reconnaissance and surveillance missions along the border, the crash of an Israeli drone in Lebanon raises concerns over the potential for further incidents and retaliation. As the investigation continues, Israel's military authorities have not ruled out the possibility of further operational adjustments to prevent similar incidents in the future. However, they maintain confidence that no sensitive intelligence was compromised during the event. The use of drones in the region continues to be a focal point of security operations, and experts predict that their role in the Israeli-Lebanese conflict will only increase, especially as both sides look to maintain their technological edge in an increasingly tense environment. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language
