Hot stepper! Young 'Cheslin Kolbe' goes viral at Craven Week
Zedan Johnson of Rietkuil Primary School broke the internet with his quick 'goose steps' that has reportedly caught the eye of rugby scouts.
While all eyes were on the pitch during Craven Week's fierce school rugby battle this week, little Zedan Johnson played his own game amongst his pals behind the posts.
Facing opponents much bigger than him, the Rietkuil Primary learner was filmed zig-zagging with ease and speed to score a try in his makeshift game.
His moves were widely compared to Springbok Cheslin Kolbe, who has been voted the best winger and scrumhalf of his generation.

Another – @samedmonds92 – shared another clip of the young player, adding 'The next Cheslin Kolbe! No DNA, just RSA!'.

Speaking to Stadio Higher Education in a TikTok video, Zedan Johnson revealed his favourite player was…Cheslin Kolbe!
'Because he plays like me – nice!', he said of his role model.

Like Zedan Johnson, Cheslin Kolbe also once shared his dreams of playing for the green and gold team.
In an EWN sports feature in 2013, the baby-faced star – then just 20 years old – spoke about his goals as a rising rugby player.
The winger had just signed for the Stormers – a 'dream come true' – and, despite his small frame, was hoping to make a significant impact on the pitch.
Western Province coach John Dobson lauded the pint-sized player as 'outstanding,' while Stormers coach Allister Coetzee called him a 'gifted player.'
Born into a community riddled with crime and drugs, Cheslin Kolbe decided to 'take a different path'.
Known for his skill as a 'side-stepper' – which he has now honed to perfection – the eager player described his ultimate goal. 'My biggest dream is to become a Springbok', he said with conviction.
He added: 'It doesn't matter about size and weight. It's all about the heart and mind. You can achieve anything you think you can'.
Last year, Cheslin Kolbe was nominated for the World Player of the Year Award. He also won SA Rugby's Player of the Year Award.

'What Sipho Mbule needs at Pirates': Ex-Kaizer Chiefs coach
Former Kaizer Chiefs head coach Cavin Johnson says he would have signed Sipho Mbule back then when he was still in charge of the Glamour Boys. The 66-year-old coach took over the reins in 2023 after Molefi Ntseki was sacked at Chiefs. Despite a decent start to his tenure, Amakhosi eventually collapsed and finished 10th at the end of the season. When asked about Orlando Pirates' new signing Sipho Mbule, Johnson admitted that he wouldn't have thought of him when he was coach of Kaizer Chiefs. he said that there were off-the-field incidents reported on the midfielder. 'Sipho Mbule just needs to ensure that he stays out of trouble with the club because of his history,' Johnson told KickOff. 'He needs to have a good pre-season, stay off social media, and concentrate on his game. He is a good player. 'Would I have signed him at Chiefs given the opportunity? When I was at Chiefs, there weren't good reports about what Mbule was doing, so I wouldn't have done it back then,' Johnson added. 'But now that he has changed his mindset and Orlando Pirates have given him an opportunity, I only wish him the best.' Mbule has been part of the Buccaneers' pre-season squad that is currently in Spain. It remains to be seen if he could rediscover his form at Pirates. Grant Williams on the ‘stolen' Willie le Roux try and return to green and gold
Williams admitted he missed the chance to give Willie le Roux a try on the fullback's 100th Test match. Picture: Anton Geyser/Gallo Images Scrumhalf Grant Williams admitted to feeling nervous in the build-up to his return from injury for the second Springbok–Italy Test, which ended 45–0 to the South Africans. But once back on the field, he was thrilled to be playing again — even if he missed the moment to set up a try for Willie le Roux on his 100th Test — and said he's excited about what the rest of the season holds. Williams last played almost three months ago, when the Sharks travelled to Edinburgh in the United Rugby Championship (URC) on 18 April. An ongoing neck injury kept him out of the next three URC pool games, the quarter-final and semi-final. He missed the Boks' first game of the season, a friendly against the invitational side Barbarians in June, before the first Test against Italy at the beginning of the month, which the Springboks won 42–24. Williams 'took' Willie le Roux's try He finally returned to action in the second Test at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday, and for the most part didn't look as nervous as he admitted he was afterwards, being quick on the feed and finishing off a great team try which came from an Edwill van der Merwe line break and Makazole Mapimpi link-up. It was the first try of the day and Le Roux was there at Williams' side to finish the score if he was tackled, or perhaps graciously receive the ball to record a score in his milestone match. 'It was actually Willie's try that I took,' Williams said afterwards. Still, he said he felt calmer after scoring. 'I hadn't played in three months. It was frustrating this week, the amount of nerves and having to play in a Springbok jersey [first].' Nervy scrumhalf happy to be back, link up with Libbok The number nine said he would have preferred to have played for the Sharks in domestic rugby, and it had been daunting to return to the highest level after such a long injury lay-off. 'But happy to get the win and just happy to play again. A bit of rust but looking forward to the next couple of weeks.' Williams said it was especially enjoyable linking up with flyhalf Manie Libbok as the halfback pair. While Libbok missed his first two kicks at posts, he commanded the backline well and created opportunities in open play. He also slotted the next five conversions. 'The plan was to try certain things and it worked. It is always special to play with Manie, we have a good relationship. But it doesn't matter who plays next to me,' Williams said, explaining that he enjoyed playing with the other flyhalves in the team as well.
