On Saturday, he held a comprehensive review with senior officials from the Municipal Administration and Finance Departments.
The meeting focused on solid waste management, infrastructure creation, and the progress of initiatives under the Mission for Elimination of Poverty in Municipal Areas (MEPMA). Highlighting women's empowerment, Naidu directed MEPMA officials to enhance product quality through continuous training for self-help groups (SHGs) and to promote DWCRA (Development of Women and Children in Rural Areas) products via e-commerce.
He urged the creation of systems for municipalities and corporations to generate their own electricity for street lighting, alongside efforts to conserve energy and improve air quality.
Expressing concern over poultry waste being dumped in urban areas, he called for a special policy and advocated circular economy practices in waste disposal.
Naidu called for the swift completion of sewage treatment plants (STPs) and the elimination of legacy waste, while establishing systems for regular garbage collection.

The Department of Animal Husbandry has announced a series of awareness programmes and preventive measures to commemorate World Zoonoses Day on July 6, 2025, aimed at educating the public about zoonotic diseases and how to prevent them. In a press release on Friday, Animal Husbandry Department Director T. Damodara Naidu said that on July 6, over 5.37 lakh free anti-rabies vaccines will be administered to dogs across the State in government veterinary institutions, including area veterinary hospitals, polyclinics, and super-speciality veterinary hospitals, with an estimated expenditure of ₹75 lakh. Dr. Naidu said zoonotic diseases — infections that can be transmitted between animals and humans — have become a growing concern, especially for veterinarians, farmers, slaughterhouse workers, and pet owners who are in close contact with animals. Diseases such as rabies, brucellosis, tuberculosis, bird flu, and encephalitis fall under this category, and they can spread through dog bites, mosquito bites, consumption of contaminated water, improperly cooked meat or eggs, and contact with infected animals or polluted air. Andhra Pradesh is a safer and healthier State by preventing the spread of zoonotic diseases through knowledge and action, he said. World Zoonoses Day commemorates Louis Pasteur's historic success on July 6, 1885, when he administered the first successful rabies vaccination to a boy bitten by a rabid dog. Since then, July 6 is observed globally to raise awareness about zoonotic diseases and encourage preventive healthcare practices.

CM Naidu inaugurates Andhra's first Digital Nerve Centre in Kuppam
Kuppam (Andhra Pradesh): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday inaugurated the state's first Tata Digital Nerve Centre (DiNC) in Chittoor district, which offers connected, continuous, proactive, and patient-centric healthcare to strengthen public health infrastructure. Linked to 13 primary health centres (PHCs) and 92 village health centres, the Tata DiNC offers 12 primary healthcare services and digitalises patients' health records. "Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the Tata Digital Nerve Centre, the first such facility established in Kuppam," a press release said. The DiNC integrates healthcare facilities and resources across the constituency, improving care through digital tools and standardised health protocols. The initiative promises early diagnosis, personalised counselling, better coordination, improved patient convenience, lower costs, and virtual specialist access at PHCs. In the first phase, DiNC services have been rolled out in Kuppam. They will be expanded across Chittoor district in the second phase and statewide in the third, the release added. "In the second phase, we will integrate all PHCs across the Chittoor district. We will also sync Ayushman Bharat and NTR Vaidya Seva schemes with this initiative," Naidu said. Ayushman Bharat, according to the NHA website, is an attempt to move from a sectoral and segmented approach of health service delivery to a comprehensive, need-based health care service. NTR Vaidya Seva is the flagship health scheme of the state government, aimed at providing quality healthcare to the poor. The TDP chief added that the government is working to extend quality healthcare services while digitising people's health records. He asserted that the Kuppam DiNC will serve as a global model by incorporating cutting-edge technology, including Artificial Intelligence. Naidu also directed officials to use technology to reduce healthcare costs. He noted that the state spends Rs 19,000 crore annually on health and called for steps to bring this down through technology-driven solutions.

CM opens AP's 1st Digital Nerve Centre
Kuppam (Chittoor dist): Andhra Pradesh on Thursday took a significant leap in healthcare innovation with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurating the state's first Digital Nerve Centre (DiNC) at the Kuppam Area Hospital. This initiative, a collaborative effort with Tata Trusts and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, aims at integrating all health services under a single digital platform, beginning in Kuppam and slated for statewide expansion. The DiNC is designed to seamlessly connect hospitals, primary health centres (PHCs), and village clinics, ensuring that a patient's complete medical history is accessible digitally from anywhere, at any time. This integration is expected to facilitate quicker diagnoses, enhance coordination among medical professionals, and streamline follow-up care. From lab results to prescriptions, all vital health information will be digitized, empowering doctors to make more informed and efficient decisions. "This is not just a model for Andhra Pradesh, but for the world," stated the Chief Minister after the inauguration. He emphasised that the project transcends mere digitalisation, focusing instead on leveraging technology to profoundly improve people's lives. Highlighting the state's annual healthcare expenditure of approximately Rs 19,000 crore, the CM underscored the potential of artificial intelligence and advanced data systems to reduce costs while simultaneously delivering superior healthcare services. Currently, the newly launched centre links 13 PHCs and 92 village health centres within the Kuppam region. This connectivity enables real-time health tracking and ensures rapid response during medical emergencies. During the launch, Chief Minister Naidu and Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav also engaged with local health workers to assess the system's practical implementation and effectiveness on the ground. Looking ahead, the government plans to roll out the DiNC system across the remaining part of the Chittoor district in its next phase, followed by a full-scale implementation throughout Andhra Pradesh. The strategy also includes deploying mobile medical units for regular blood tests and more rigorous monitoring of maternal health, with a strong emphasis on preventive care. A significant strength of the DiNC system lies in its inclusivity, bringing frontline healthcare workers, including Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs) and Anganwadi staff, into the digital loop. This ensures that even remote and rural communities benefit from enhanced health services. Special Chief Secretary MT Krishna Babu, Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare Veerapandian, Collector Sumit Kumar, DM&HO Dr DT Sudha Rani, and other senior officials also attended the programme.
