Queensland Police make horrific find on man's phone
The 44-year-old man was arrested at a property in Emerald, about 70 km west of Rockhampton, Queensland, on May 26.
Detectives from Queensland's Emerald Criminal Investigation Branch searched the property during an investigation into illegal weapons and illicit drugs.
Police seized several items from the property, including a mobile phone.
The mobile phone was forensically examined and allegedly found to contain an image showing two children, both three years old, bound with duct tape.
Police will allege the man can be seen pointing what appears to be a firearm at the children.
It will also be alleged the image had been forwarded to several other people after it was taken.
It is understood the children were not related to the man but were known to him.
Officers were able to identify the children and confirmed both were safe.
The 44-year-old man was charged with unlawful possession of a category H firearm, dangerous conduct with a weapon, and two counts of deprivation of liberty.
He was granted bail under strict conditions and is scheduled to appear in the Emerald Magistrates Court on August 26.
In an unrelated incident, another Emerald man was arrested and charged with sexual offences against a child after concerned community members raised the alarm.
The 59-year-old man was arrested and charged on Friday with grooming a child under 16 years, rape, supplying dangerous drugs to a minor, and breach of bail.
Police allege the man provided dangerous drugs to a child and committed sexual offences against the same child between June and July 2025.
The man was remanded in custody and is expected to face the Emerald Magistrates Court later on Tuesday.
Officer in Charge of Emerald CIB, Detective Sergeant Dylan Brook, praised community members for coming forward to police and assisting the victim.
'I would like to thank the community members for having the courage to report the matters to the police and supporting the victim survivors,' Detective Sergeant Brook said.
'The Emerald police are committed to supporting victims of sexual abuse with compassion and work diligently and tirelessly to hold offenders accountable through the court system.'
Queensland Police released footage showing the arrests of both men at their respective properties in Emerald.
In the video, the 44-year-old man is seen standing with his arms crossed while two police officers speak to him on his property.
'Are you willing to come down to the station with us now?' one of the officers asked.
'No dramas, I'm going to place you under arrest.'
The footage also shows police attending the property of the 59-year-old man.
Officers inform him he is being placed under arrest for the grooming of a child before escorting him to a police vehicle parked on the street.

Intruder inspects naked woman as she sleeps next to her partner in Marbella
A home intruder has been caught on camera repeatedly inspecting a woman as she slept naked in her Marbella, Spain home. Homeowners Pilar and Alex found that they had been burgled after €300, around $350, went missing from their home in Costa del Sol on June 2. But while the couple reviewed their CCTV, they made an even more disturbing discovery after footage showed a masked thief stood over their bed as they slept. In the sinister clip, which was released by the couple, the burglar was seen returning multiple times to the couple's room throughout a 32 minute period. The thief appeared to fixate on Pilar, with the video showing him repeatedly flashing his torch over her body. Speaking to local media the woman said: 'He entered our bedroom eight times to look at my private parts', after deciding to release the footage in the hope of catching the 'sick predator'. Local police are now investigating the case and are analyzing the security footage to identify the suspect, but no arrests have been made as of yet. The thief is said to have taken 300 euros from the couple's home, but did not steal any other valuables, leading Pilar to believe that his intentions were not to rob the couple's home, but rather to prey on her as she slept. Pilar's 18-year-old son was sleeping in the room next door at the time of the incident. She said: 'That man didn't come to my house to steal, he came to do something to me. 'I was alone the night before. What if he'd come then?' Her partner Alex expressed how Pilar 'felt violated' and called the thief a 'sick predator'. Pilar has also spoken out about how the terrifying ordeal has affected her psychologically, and described how she now suffers from recurring nightmares and has to sleep with all of her doors and windows closed. She is now undergoing psychological treatment to cope with the trauma she has suffered, she said. It is believed the thief entered the house through a terrace door. The horrifying incident comes as other residents in the city have been warned to beef up their security systems after a 'terrifying' burglar remains at large. Chilling footage shows the moment a man in a mask and a gray hoodie broke into a series of villas between San Pedro de Alcantara in Marbella and Benahavis. The brazen thief, dubbed the San Pedro Prowler, is seen picking locks with a sharp implement, which locals said he could use as 'a weapon if he needs it to be'. The menacing figure then calmly walks off with his hands filled with goods, including luxury handbags and jewelry. Among the recent stolen items include €10,000 in cash, around $11,740, and a €30,000, about $35,000, watch. The robber appears to have been wearing no shoes and just had socks on during his raids, seemingly to avoid alerting anyone inside the homes to his presence. Neighborhoods he has targeted include Guadalmina, and La Quinta, in upmarket Benahavis.

Bodycam of William McNeil Jr arrest released after cop punched driver during traffic stop for not having headlights on
COPS have released bodycam footage following the arrest of a 22-year-old man in Florida - during which an officer smashed a car window and punched the driver. A shocking video taken of the arrest by driver William McNeil Jr showed the cop breaking the window, hitting him and dragging him to the ground in Jacksonville. 6 6 6 6 But the sheriff's office says a state prosecutor has found no misconduct by the cops involved - although an internal review is also in process. The new bodycam footage released shows the 22-year-old had been pulled over for reportedly not having his headlights on or wearing a seatbelt. He refuses to get out of his car when asked to by the officer and locks the door. "It's daylight, I don't need the lights," he says. The cop then proceeds to smash the window after warning him for three minutes to exit the vehicle. Jacksonville Sheriff TK Waters said: "The State Attorney's Office has determined that none of the involved officers violated criminal law, even though the administrative review has yet to be completed." However, he added that one officer had been suspended pending a review. "A person must comply with an officer's commands, even if that person disagrees with that officer's reasons for the stop," the sheriff added. According to a police report obtained by ABC News, McNeil was pulled over by cops at 4.15pm local time on February 19 this year. Video shows him telling officers that he didn't need to have his lights on as it wasn't raining and asked to speak with a supervisor. Shocking moment Marbella cop slaps sunbather as two people are arrested The cop calls for backup and repeatedly threatens to break the window before doing so. The arrest claims: "The suspect was reaching for the floor board of the vehicle where a large knife was sitting." However, Sheriff Waters acknowledged at a news conference that it is unclear if this was true based on the videos, People has reported. Footage posted by McNeil shows him with his hands up and visible as cops drag him out of the car. He pleaded guilty to resisting a police officer without violence and driving with a suspended license, according to court records. The 22-year-old was sentenced to two days in jail. "McNeil was arrested and pled guilty to resisting a police officer without violence," Sheriff Waters added. "Force absolutely looks ugly, and because all force is ugly, whether or not the officer involved acted within outside JSO policy, that's still what we're investigating." In a social media video following the arrest, McNeil said he suffered a concussion and that his tooth was chipped and needed stitches to his mouth. "This was very hard to do I'm not mentally healed from this but I had to get the word out eventually," he posted in the video caption. Harry Daniels, an attorney representing McNeil, told ABC News on Monday that the 22-year-old is now mulling legal action. He told the broadcaster: "This officer broke his window and just punched him in his face. Mr. McNeil suffered very significant injury. "We are planning to do everything we can do to secure justice. "We are seeking all options to ensure accountability." 6 6
