On Saturday, August 2, the WNBA said the individual who threw it had been arrested, and warned that anyone else who threw objects onto the court would be rejected from the arena and face a minimum one-year ban.

This, according to The New York Times, is in line with the WNBA policy. A spokesperson for the WNBA said, 'The safety and well-being of everyone in our arenas is a top priority for our league. Objects of any kind thrown onto the court or in the seating area can pose a safety risk for players, game officials, and fans. In line with WNBA Arena Security Standards, any fan who intentionally throws an object onto the court will be immediately ejected and face a minimum one-year ban in addition to being subject to arrest and prosecution.'
The statement came the day after a second incident happened during the game between the Valkyries and the Chicago Sky on Friday, August 1. It was also green.

Indiana Fever's Sophie Cunningham tweeted, 'Stop throwing dildos on the court… you're going to hurt one of us,' while Sky center Elizabeth Williams told ESPN that it was 'super disrespectful,' that she didn't 'get the point of it,' and that 'whoever is doing it needs to grow up.'

None of the other athletes named have said that they won't be participating. Taylor and "Triple H" flanked Trump during a news conference addressing the council. Barkley, a three-time Pro Bowler who earned NFL Offensive Player of the Year in 2024 during Philadelphia's run to the Super Bowl championship, has previously made public appearances with Trump. Barkley golfed with Trump in April in New Jersey, then flew with Trump to Washington D.C. and visited the White House ahead of the Eagles' official visit to commemorate their Super Bowl victory. Diddy's Ex-Girlfriend Asks The Judge To Release Him Ahead Of Sentencing
An ex-girlfriend of Sean 'Diddy' Combs is urging the judge to release the music mogul on bail while he awaits his October sentencing. Virginia Huynh, who identified herself as Victim 3 in the federal government's indictment against Combs, wrote in a letter submitted to the judge this weekend that she has known the artist for many years in both a personal and professional capacity. She wrote that while their relationship had many ups and downs, Combs always tried to become a better person. 'By the time our relationship ended, he embodied an energy of love, patience and gentleness that was markedly different from his past behavior,' she wrote. 'To my knowledge, he has not been violent for many years, and he has been committed to being a father first.' Combs was acquitted last month of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges, but he was found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. Last week, Combs' attorneys filed a motion asking the judge to release him on $50 million bond before his October sentencing hearing. Combs has been in Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center since his September arrest and has been denied release multiple times. Huynh's letter asks the judge to consider letting Combs out on bond until October. She wrote that she does not view Combs as a danger to her or the community, and said he should be released because he has children who depend on him for financial and emotional support. 'I want to assure the Court that if released, I believe Mr. Combs will adhere to all conditions imposed and will not jeopardize his freedom or the well-being of his family,' Huynh wrote. Cornerback Corey Ballentine returns to Packers after getting released by Colts
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Cornerback Corey Ballentine has returned to the Green Bay Packers three days after the Indianapolis Colts released him. The Packers announced Monday they had signed Ballentine, who had played for them from 2022-24. They made room for him by releasing cornerback Gregory Junior. Ballentine played 37 regular-season games and three playoff games for the Packers over the past three seasons. He made seven starts during that stretch. The Colts signed Ballentine in March but released him Friday when they signed cornerback Chris Lammons. Ballentine, 29, played 15 games last season while contributing primarily on special teams. He started six games in 2023 and had 43 tackles and seven passes defensed, both career highs. He also has played for the New York Giants (2019-20), New York Jets (2020) and Detroit Lions (2021).
