Thelo Aasgaard to Rangers transfer fee 'revealed' as striker target makes decision on next destination

A former Rangers loan star is on his way back to Germany for big money as more arrivals expected at Ibrox
Thelo Aasgaard is set to join Rangers in a £5million move from Luton Town.
The Norway international has been told that his place in the national squad would be under major threat if he stays in League One with the Hatters, but has been offered an escape route to Ibrox by Russell Martin.

The Four Lads Had a Dream podcast claim that Aasgaard will cost in the region of £5m.

The transfer activity is ramping up in Govan after a slow start, with Aasgaard set to follow the double capture of Joe Rothwell and and Emmanuel Fernandez.
A deal to sign Leicester City defender Conor Coady is also being worked on.
One player who won't be heading to Glasgow is Matija Frigan.
The Croatian striker had been linked with a switch to Ibrox this summer, although the required fee to land him was a potential stumbling block.
Now the Westerlo front man has chosen to link up with former boss Sergei Jakirovic at Hull City, according to reports in Croatia.

The Tigers will pay the Belgians a fee of €7million to sign Frigan.
meanwhile, former Rangers loan star Malik Tillman is on the move back to Germany.
The USA international is set to join Bayer Leverkusen from PSV Eindhoven, with the Bundesliga side meeting his €35million release clause.

Former club Bayern Munich - where Gers loaned Tillman from and who bought out the option to make the move permanent - had a buy back clauseinserted in the deal that took Tillman to PSV, but that has now passed.
Sky Germany report that his move to Leverkusen is now all but agreed.

Hamza Igamane to Lille in jeopardy as Rangers delay sparks Vardy transfer hijack despite Dessers exit 'push'

The striker merry-go-round is yet to burst into life at Ibrox in the midst of a hectic transfer window Rangers striker Hamza Igamane 's move to Lille is reportedly in jeopardy with the French side now considering other targets. The Ligue 1 side are interested in the Moroccan striker international after he impressed in his debut Scottish Premiership campaign - netting 16 goals for the Light Blues. ‌ But with Rangers new owners 49ers Enterprises holding out for a big pay day in Igamane with a £15million valuation placed on the 22-year-old, Lille appear to be ready to move on from the deal amid a standoff. ‌ Reports in France suggest an offer will not be formally made to the Scottish Premiership side until "common ground" is found on an asking price - despite Igamane already agreeing personal terms with the club. It is claimed that the club is now "studying other profiles besides that of the Moroccan international" despite "discussions ongoing" between the two clubs. L'Equipe also expect another striker deal to take centre stage following the signing of Olivier Giroud from LAFC with 20-year-old striker Vivaldo Semedo set to arrive from Udinese. Max Aarons, Joe Rothwell and Emmanuel Fernandez are already in the door at Ibrox this summer alongside Lyall Cameron after the former Dundee player agreed a pre-contract deal last season. But boss Russell Martin has teased more deals in the coming days with Thelo Aasgaard, Nasser Djiga and Conor Coady are all set to sign. Reports south of the border suggest that Premier League legend Jamie Vardy is open to a move to the club amid the 49ers' American revolution - but they face a challenge from Wrexham. ‌ Boss Phil Parkinson has teased contact with the 38-year-old after being quizzed out the striker - revealing co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney had to reach out to at least one potential summer signing. Speaking to New Zealand news outlet Stuff, coy Parkinson said: "We're looking to sign a player and we've got a lot of competition to get the signature. ‌ "I spoke to Rob and Ryan about it so they put a call in to the player as well, explained the back story and why we wanted them." Cyriel Dessers is also set to play a key role in the summer business with a move to AEK rumbling on. The fee received for last season's top scorer could reportedly fund a move for Dor Turgeman - after Record Sport first revealed the Maccabi Tel Aviv man was on the ibrox shortlist.
