My weight never affected my work, says Delnaaz Irani
Delnaaz Irani has never fit the industry's conventional mould, and she's fine with that. 'I was pleasantly plump as they used to call me. But everybody liked the way I was. I stood out from the typical faces and body types and I guess that helped me make my own space,' she says talking to Mumbai Mirror.
Known for her comic timing and light-hearted roles in films like Kal Ho Naa Ho and Milenge Milenge and TV shows like Yes Boss and Akbar Birbal, Delnaaz says her body type never got in the way. 'My work was never hampered due to my weight. Even now, I'm heavier than I was in the 1990s, but I'm doing more work. Recently, I was offered a negative role, and that was exciting for me.'
She has tried various fitness routines over the years.
'I've done walking, yoga, dieting, but it has to come from within.'
Delnaaz doesn't shy away from current weight loss trends either. 'If I ever try Ozempic or any other option in the market, I'll say it openly. Why lie? If I want to drastically transform, I will, and I'll be vocal about it.'
For now, she's content and confident. Delnaaz says, 'I'm in a very happy space. Personally, professionally and mentally. And that's what truly matters. When your mind is happy, your body reacts accordingly.'

We didn't get married to be part of a reality show: Hina Khan
Hina Khan and Rocky Jaiswal tied the knot on June 4, 2025, sparking speculation about their participation in a reality show for married couples. Hina Khan married boyfriend Rocky Jaiswal on June 4, 2025. A day after their wedding, there was news of the two participating in a reality show focussing on married couples. Netizens have been speculating since then, saying the marriage happened so that they could participate in the show. Recently, Mumbai Mirror spoke to Hina about this. She said, 'We were supposed to get married last year, but due to my health we had to do it this year. When we were offered Pati Patni Aur Panga, we weren't married and yet we were locked for the show. Our wedding was due, so this was the perfect time we felt, and it worked out well for the makers of the show as well. But we didn't marry for the show.' Marriage hasn't changed their equation at all. Rocky says, 'They say change is the only constant. Our constant is, there is no change.' Hina further adds, 'Earlier, when I used to introduce him to people, I would say he's my boyfriend. Now I say he's my husband. Then I just smile to myself... I feel shy."

'Sunjay Kapur Is A Third Class Man': When Angry Randhir Kapoor BLASTED Karisma's Ex-Husband
Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapur's turbulent marriage ended in divorce with mutual allegations. Karisma's father Randhir Kapoor once criticised his former son-in-law. Karisma Kapoor and her former husband, businessman Sunjay Kapur, had a troubled marriage followed by an even turbulent divorce. The duo made several allegations against each other – with Karisma accusing Sunjay of an extramarital affair, and Sunjay claiming that the Zubeidaa actor married him for money. Their divorce proceedings made daily headlines due to the controversial statements they hurled at each other. Amid that, Karisma's father, actor Radhir Kapoor, who is known for being extremely vocal, took on Sunjay in public and called him a 'third class man". Randhir Kapoor didn't mince words when speaking about his daughter's troubled marriage. Bashing Sunjay Kapoor, he had told Hindustan Times in a throwback interview, 'Sunjay is a third class man. I never wanted Karisma marrying him. He has debauchery in his system and never cared for his wife. He has been giving bull*** to her, and living with another woman. The entire Delhi knows how he is. I would not like to say anything more than this." His reaction came in right after Sunjay claimed that Karisma married him for money. Amid the war of words, Karisma's lawyer, Kranti Sathe, strongly refuted Sunjay's allegations filed in court. 'The allegations against Karisma are all false. We shall soon give a reply, but the onus is on Sunjay to prove these allegations in the court," she stated. In a petition filed by his lawyers Aman and Priya Hingorani, and quoted by Mumbai Mirror, Sunjay accused Karisma of failing 'as a wife, a daughter-in-law and a mother," while also claiming she had an extramarital affair. When did Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapoor get married? Karisma and Sunjay tied the knot in 2003 and have two children together — Samaira and Kiaan. Karisma moved to Delhi after their marriage but returned to Mumbai with the children in 2011. The couple initially filed for divorce by mutual consent, but in November the following year, Karisma withdrew the petition, alleging that Sunjay had failed to fulfill the financial commitments outlined in their agreement. Karisma seeks share in ex-husband Sunjay Kapur's Rs 30,000 crore estate Sunjay Kapur, who served as the chairman of Sona Comstar, passed away in London on June 12, 2025. Hardly two months after his passing, new developments have surfaced surrounding a staggering Rs 30,000 crore property dispute. A Dainik Jagran report suggested that Karisma may also be exploring a legal claim to a share of his vast estate. Amid the discussion, Sunjay's stepdaughter, his third wife Priya Sachdev's daughter, Safira, dropped 'Chatwal' in favour of 'Safira Kapur'. Observers believe this rebranding is more than symbolic — it could be a strategic move to fortify their standing in the inheritance battle. As Friendship Day approaches, actress Delnaaz Irani opens up about what the occasion means to her—and it's not about cards or planned celebrations. For Delnaaz, real friendships are lived and nurtured every day. 'I don't really celebrate Friendship Day in the traditional sense,' she shares. 'But if my friends and I plan to meet, that's always lovely. Personally, I believe every day should be dedicated to those who are close to your heart.' Having spent over three decades in the entertainment industry, Delnaaz has built bonds that have weathered time, fame, and change. 'I've had some incredible friends in the industry—bonds that go back to my theatre days and TV shows from the '90s. We still have those WhatsApp groups, we still meet, we still laugh like old times,' she says, adding, 'It's a myth that actors can't be friends. I've been lucky to have friends who are now like family. ' As life has evolved, so have her catch-ups. 'Earlier, it was about parties and getaways. Now it's cozy dinners, coffee catch-ups, or just chatting at home. I cherish the simplicity of being present, being real,' she reflects. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Your Finger Shape Says a Lot About Your Personality, Read Now Tips and Tricks Undo But it's not just industry friendships she values. But we stay in touch, laugh over silly things, and pick up right where we left off,' she says. For Delnaaz, friendships aren't passing phases. 'My friends aren't temporary or seasonal. They're permanent. I don't believe in surface-level friendships. When I call someone a friend, it's for life,' she smiles.
