Diddy's baby mama Dana Tran flees to LA after split trial verdict leaves him facing 20 years
The rapper, 55, was acquitted on Wednesday of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges that could have put him behind bars for life.
He was convicted of lesser prostitution-related offenses and was denied bail as he awaited sentencing.
Shortly after the verdict was read out, Dana Tran, who gave birth to their two-year-old daughter Love Sean Combs in October 2022, rushed home to be with the toddler, who was ill with a cold, according to TMZ.
Dana had attended Diddy's trial after traveling to New York City to show him her support in the final days of the case, but she quickly left after learning their daughter was sick.
Combs was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, and each count carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
But jurors cleared him of three charges, two of which carried a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years and a maximum sentence of life in prison.
Despite sharing a child with her, Diddy has never confirmed a relationship with Dana.
It has never been revealed how they met, and their connection has remained mysterious in the years since Love's birth.
Now Dana is gone, Diddy will have to remain in jail as he awaits a sentencing hearing, which was initially scheduled for October 3.
After hearing the verdict, the rapper dropped to his knees and prayed in the courtroom.
His lawyer Marc Agnifilo called the verdict a great victory' and said the jury 'got the situation right — or certainly right enough' as he stood outside Manhattan federal court at a stand of microphones. 'Today is a victory of all victories.'
'I'll see you when I get out,' Combs told family members, including his mother and children, just before leaving the courtroom to return to jail. 'We´re going to get through this.'
His attorney had first asked for him to be released on a $1million bond after the verdict, but the prosecution argued his convictions made him ineligible for bail because he was both a flight risk and considered potentially violent.
Judge Arun Subramanian sided with prosecutors after previously denying Diddy bail before the start of the trial.
Ironically, the judge cited Diddy's own defense at trial as part of the reason he would not receive bail, as his attorney had conceded Combs had engaged in domestic abuse in a disturbing video showing him shoving and kicking his then-girlfriend Cassie Venture before dragging her back to his hotel room after she tried to escape via an elevator.
Judge Subramanian also cited the testimony of another of Diddy's ex-girlfriends — referred to in court only as 'Jane' — whom he was allegedly violent toward in June of last year, three months after the FBI raided his mansions.
However, Diddy's attorney Marc Agnifilo pushed back and claimed that his client had only fought back against 'Jane' in self-defense.
According to TMZ, he also cited the presence of Diddy's older children in court, but that didn't convince the judge to let him go free while he awaits sentencing.
But the disgraced rapper will have another chance to plead his case sooner after Subramanian scheduled an expedited sentencing hearing for July 8.
Although Diddy's six oldest children - Quincy Brown, 34; Justin Combs, 31; Christian 'King' Combs, 27; Chance Combs, 18; and twins D'Lila and Jessie Combs, 18 - all showed their support by attending court on Wednesday, most of them stayed silent on social media in the wake of the verdict.
But Christian was the exception, taking to Instagram to cheer on his father's acquittal on the most severe charges, even though he could still face up to two decades behind bars.
Later on Wednesday, he posted a snippet of his song Diddy Free — which features Kanye West — to his Instagram Stories, along with the single's photo of Diddy's Bad Boy Records headquarters.

NEW FBI files shed light on one of the longest-running unsolved hijacking cases in US history. A 398-page document compiles decades of tips on DB Cooper - the mysterious man who hijacked a plane in 1971 and parachuted away with $200,000. 6 6 6 Dan "DB" Cooper is the alias of the man who hijacked Northwest Flight 305 over Portland, Oregon, in November 1971, en route to Seattle. He demanded $200,000 ransom and parachuted from the plane with the money, never to be seen again. Described as a dark-haired man in his mid-40s, Cooper passed a flight attendant a note claiming he had a bomb in his briefcase - which he revealed contained wires and red sticks. After the Boeing landed in Seattle, Cooper released 36 passengers in exchange for the cash and four parachutes. The plane then took off with several crew members, heading towards Mexico City under Cooper's orders. Somewhere between Seattle and Reno, Nevada, at 10,000 feet, Cooper jumped from the back of the jet with a parachute and the ransom money. The document, released by the FBI on Tuesday, reveals that despite interviewing hundreds of suspects, the agency remains at a dead end. One suspect was even a man in a wheelchair, with the report concluding: 'A man confined to a wheel chair [sic] did not hijack the plane in this case.' While multiple suspects are named in the files, further investigation - including showing photos to witnesses - often led agents to mark their files with a handwritten 'eliminated'. The files include the well-known claim by Donald Sylvester Murphy that he was DB Cooper. Ulis and forensic expert Tom Kaye discovered dozens of rare titanium particles on a clip-on tie left behind by the skyjacker. Tracing the particles led them to the now-defunct Crucible Steel plant in Midland, Pennsylvania, where Petersen worked for several years. Meanwhile, the memories of those aboard the hijacked flight paint a portrait of DB Cooper himself. Horror at stunning $2.6m California home after beloved doctor, 56, filed for divorce from high-flier husband
The husband of a beloved California doctor has been arrested months after she was found dead in their burning $2.6million home. Yoon 'Kevin' Lai, 63, was taken into custody on Thursday on suspicion of the murder of his endocrinologist wife, Irene Gaw-Lai, 56. The estranged couple, who share 16-year-old twin boys, was in the middle of a contentious divorce, their friends told ABC7. Gaw-Lai's remains were found on January 6 after firefighters extinguished a fire in her San Marino home. Her cause of death was ruled as undetermined. Lai initially told police that he had taken their sons to baseball practice and returned to the house being on fire. Police say she had signs of physical trauma on her upper body, which prompted a homicide investigation. Ga-Lai filed for divorce in August, 2024, and had previously filed for divorce from Lai in 2003, per court records cited by the Los Angeles Times. How accurate is Jurassic World Rebirth? The palaeontologist's verdict
This is a fun, nostalgic adventure. The palaeontologist Dr Loomis (Jonathan Bailey) encapsulates what many of us are like. There is love, passion, genuine awe and, yes, a little nerdiness. I like how emotional he becomes when he touches a dinosaur for the first time — I'd feel the same. There are a few things that aggravate. For instance, mosasaurs and pterosaurs are not dinosaurs, although they're discussed as such. They are prehistoric reptiles, which swim and fly respectively. But I did like the design of the mosasaur. Although far larger than any fossil yet found, the anatomy was more accurate than in the previous films. The quetzalcoatlus (a type of giant pterosaur) was covered in fuzzy, hairlike structures that match the fossil record. • Every Jurassic Park movie ranked — from worst to best A lot of thought has gone into drawing on the science and developing the behaviour of some of these creatures. The co-operative hunting behaviours between the mosasaur and the spinosaur was a neat idea taken from modern animals. I was initially sceptical of another mutant storyline. The film-makers could have used other amazing prehistoric species — such as the giant ichthyosaur, Ichthyotitan, which I named in 2024 and which was as big as the on-screen mosasaur — rather than creating new mutants, but it does echo the original novel and movie. After all, these creatures were genetically engineered, with missing DNA filled in from other animals such as frogs.
