Ajax new boy Oscar Gloukh welcomes the pressure: 'It gives me goosebumps, I can't wait for the first match'

Oscar Gloukh recently gave his first Ajax interview. The Israeli spoke to the club's media about the type of player he is and had particular praise for the infamous 2018/19 team. The 21-year-old playmaker was officially presented at Ajax on Friday evening, and spoke plainly about his on-field traits. 'I love dribbling, passing, scoring, and providing assists,' were the first words of the newest signing, who didn't hesitate for a moment when Ajax announced their interest. 'I wanted to go straight away because I want to play for teams that are going for titles.' Apparently, Ajax already had their eye on Gloukh during his time at Maccabi Tel Aviv. 'We had discussions back then, and I really wanted to go. Ultimately, I left for Salzburg. But now I'm here, and I feel great. This club is huge.' In his teenage years, Gloukh often watched Ajax, he says. The 2018/19 season, in which they reached the Champions League semifinals, is especially etched in memory. 'Dusan Tadic was one of my favourite players. He was a real leader. I also thought Frenkie de Jong was a great player. They made history back then.' In Amsterdam, the new number 10 is following in the footsteps of Tadic. He realises that comes with pressure. 'I know Dennis Bergkamp played with that number too. There's a lot of pressure on me to perform. But I love it. It gives me goosebumps. I can't wait for the first match.' GBeNeFN | Max Bradfield

🚨 BREAKING: Wolves complete move for AZ's David Møller Wolfe

Wolves have added further quality to the senior team after losing key names this summer, with the club confirming a completed deal for AZ and Norway left-back David Møller Wolfe. After the loss of Rayan Aït-Nouri to English giants Manchester City, the Midlands club needed an established presence on the left side of the back line under Vítor Pereira, with the 23-year-old arriving at the Molineux in a deal worth just under £10m (€11.5million). A defensive stalwart at AFAS Stadion across two seasons in the Eredivisie, making 92 appearances for De Kaasboeren across all competitions and helping the club remain a top-five presence on the domestic front. The twelve-time capped defender will link up with compatriot Jørgen Strand Larsen, who joined the club on a full deal from Celta de Vigo earlier in the summer window. 📸 Alex Bierens de Haan - 2025 Getty Images

‘The most difficult decision I have made' – Heung-min Son says he wants to leave Tottenham this summer

Heung-min Son says he wants to leave Tottenham this summer after ten years at the club. The South Korea international joined Spurs in 2015 and would go on to become the club's fourth record goalscorer and fifth record appearance holder. And after captaining the club to the Europa League trophy last season, he says he now wants to play in a different environment. 'It was the most difficult decision I have made in my career,' he said. 'I have spent 10 years at Tottenham. The main reason is I have achieved everything I can at Tottenham. I need a new environment for a fresh challenge. I'm grateful the club have respected my decision and wish Spurs well for the next season. 'It's a beautiful club with beautiful fans. I have such amazing memories. It was so hard to make the decision. I just felt like I needed a new environment to push myself to get more out of me I think I needed a little bit of change. 10 years is a long time. 'I came to north London as a kid. 23 years old, a very young age. A boy who couldn't speak English. I leave this club as a grown man. 'Thank you to all the Spurs fans who have given me so much love. It felt like it was my home. It was one of the toughest decisions I ever made. I think it is the right time to leave. I hope that everyone understands that and respects that.' On the reaction from his Spurs team-mates to the news, he said: 'I spoke with only a few guys, ones I've spent a long time with. 'Obviously they're disappointed, as a friendship or as a team-mate you'd be very disappointed if someone decided to leave, but in a respectful way. 'Obviously I'm very close with Ben (Davies) so we've spoken about the future a lot of times. 'Obviously he fully respects my decision. So does everyone. What can I say? It's very, very hard to tell my team-mates because I sometimes probably spend more time with them than my family because we're travelling together, spending time together every single day at the training ground, five or six hours every day. I think we know each other so well. 'Everybody was disappointed but also in a way very happy for me. That was my feeling but I don't what they were actually feeling. They seemed happy but disappointed when I told them my decision.'
