Lidl by Lidl: Supermarket launches Oasis jacket ahead of tour
The limited edition coat – named in homage to the 2002 single Little By Little – was unveiled on a 30ft wall outside Manchester City's Etihad Stadium on Wednesday morning.
The design is a tongue-in-cheek reference to Liam Gallagher's ICONS campaign last year, which saw the iconic frontman wear a Berghaus jacket, which fans joked were similar to Lidl's brand colours.
Featuring drink-cooling pockets, a bottle opener for a zipper, a 'Lidl By Lidl' badge, and even a tambourine 'for spontaneous jam sessions' – the coat will be available to buy for £30 from next Wednesday, July 9.
Those who miss out, will be able to get a branded bucket hat or a pair of Lidl aviators, available on their website for free.
Joanna Gomer, marketing director at Lidl GB says of the campaign: 'In celebration of one of the biggest reunion tours for music & culture, we wanted to give consumers 'everything they ever dreamed of' and create something iconic.'
'With Oasis's 'Definitely Maybe' album and Lidl GB both marking 30 years, this jacket taps into the love the nation has not only for Lidl fashion, but also our brand and the band. getlux via Supplied Lidl's Oasis-themed jacket goes on sale next Wednesday.
'Whether heading to a gig, or for those that want to look 'supersonic' at the supermarket, we have created something fun, functional, and full of character, just like the music that inspired it. The 'Lidl by Lidl' jacket is more than just merch – it's a tribute to our fans, the moments, and the memories that have defined the last three decades.'
Gallagher brothers, Noel and Liam, announced they were reuniting for a world tour last August, and it officially kicks off in Cardiff this Friday.
Pop-up shops selling official Oasis merchandise are opening across the UK and Ireland to mark the occasion, with the first one already opened in their hometown of Manchester.
An official Oasis pop-up shop is set to open in Edinburgh ahead of the bands' Murrayfield concerts, launching on Monday, August 4, before the band play three sold-out nights in the capital.

Three musical comedians to see this August who aren't Oasis
Though they may be the most famous comedy double act in rock, not everyone will be going to see Oasis this August. For anyone who wants a double whammy of great tunes and biting wit, there are plenty of musical comedy performances to be found throughout the month at the Edinburgh Fringe. Here are three shows that will give your ears - and your funny bone - a treat this year. Sign up to our daily newsletter Sign up Thank you for signing up! Amelia Hamilton: Forget Me Not The UK's only female stand-up rapper, Amelia Hamilton, will be bringing her mesmeric beats to Pleasance Courtyard Forget Me Not. Hamilton, who has been described as 'a star in the making' by Angela Barnes, invites you to party at the end of the world - but first, she needs to do the dishes at her parents' house . . . Where she lives. Forget Me Not, set to an original soundtrack of live beats, combines eulogies, fire and family to produce a relatable rapper's requiem and a comedic celebration. Amelia says: 'This show is an anthem for anyone who wants to be everything; a lover and a fighter, a girl boss and also wear ASOS, a rapper and a woman in STEM, to be famous but also to be forgotten.' Tamar Broadbent: Plus One, Counting House - Ballroom Amelia Hamilton: Forget Me Not Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Pleasance Courtyard - The Attic from 30 July to 24 August (except 11 August) at 9.45pm Tickets: Holly Spillar: Tall Child Holly Spillar: Tall Child, Underbelly Bristo Square - Dexter If you are a fan of rock and progressive pop with some witty lyrics, then check out 'the love child of Kate Bush and Bo Burnham' (★★★★★ North West End), Holly Spillar, who is bringing her show, Tall Child, to Underbelly Bristo Square. Spillar made her debut in 2023 with HOLE and has become known for her offbeat stand-up soundtrack live with a loop pedal. The show was one of the best-reviewed shows at the Fringe that year, and Holly was subsequently a finalist in the Musical Comedy Awards in 2025. As a working-class performer, Holly's shows are strongly influenced by her low-income background and address the effect class has on professional art. With two shit jobs, a little red loop pedal and no time or money, Holly Spillar is full of rage, minimum wage and the pungent green mould stain of Brat Summers passed. Tall Child is a cathartic hour of earworms and swan pedalos, with each rant carefully curated in Holly's inimitable style. Previously known for her funny songs about single life like 'Tube Ride of Shame,' musical comedian Tamar Broadbent took some time away to get married and have a baby (and live in Amsterdam and sail around the world . . . But that's another story!). Now she's BACK with a brand-new show about pregnancy and new motherhood. Featuring 10 original songs by Tamar, performed live on the piano, including: 'A Mother's Place is in the Wrong!!!' 'I Tried Hard to Breastfeed, But It Sucked,' 'Don't You Wanna Have a Natural Birth?!' and 'Alcohol, I'll Never Take You For Granted Again,' Plus One is a hilarious and heartfelt look at how the world pressures women to have babies and then tries to persuade them they are doing every part of it wrong. Oasis set list 'revealed' as band shares first look at reunion tour stage
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video We're just hours away from the first Oasis gig in 16 years—and we now have our first look at the stage the once-feuding brothers will share. And perhaps more importantly, the set list has been 'revealed.' Noel Gallagher, 58, and younger brother Liam Gallagher, 52, haven't performed together since 2009 when they announced their split, meaning the world was, quite literally, sent into a frenzy last August when they confirmed the guns had 'fallen silent'. Tomorrow night, after a lengthy wait, the siblings will kick off their string of sold-out reunion shows at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. Noel was pictured arriving in the city yesterday, with rehearsals underway as they prepare to perform some of their biggest tunes to thousands of adoring fans who will scream every word back. With a mere 24 hours to go, the Oasis brothers took to social media with a teaser video that offered a glimpse of the stage design thanks to an epic drone light show. The footage was captured by a drone flying over the stadium, with the sky lit up in a bright 'OASIS' logo. What's more, reports suggest the full set list has been leaked, with MailOnline claiming Oasis will kick off their set with Acquiesce, which originally appeared as the B-side to Oasis' first number-one single, Some Might Say, in 1995. After the fan-favourite tune will come Morning Glory, with the first half also including tunes Cigarettes & Alcohol, Supersonic, Roll With It, and Half the World Away. As per the publication, Oasis will sing 23 songs in total, the latter part of the concert including Rock and Roll Star, The Masterplan, Don't Look Back in Anger, and, of course, Wonderwall. Ending on a high, the brothers will close with Champagne Supernova, also the closing track on the band's second studio album, having saved their most popular tunes til the end. Speaking ahead of the first show, a source hinted that Noel and Lim are still keeping some distance. For the eighth year, 150,000 festival goers will descend on Glasgow Green from 11-13 July to see the liked of 50 Cent, Gracie Abrams and Biffy Clyro, and you could be there! Metro has teamed up with Rockstar Energy presents TRNSMT Festival to offer four VIP tickets to one lucky winner. For a chance to win this massive music prize, simply enter your details here. Full T&Cs apply, see here. 'It's all gearing up now,' they began. 'Technical rehearsals for the band started on Monday, and then Noel and Liam joined them a couple of days later. 'But Liam barely even stayed for the first eight songs before leaving the rehearsals early, and Noel continued on his own.' Nevertheless, fans are absolutely beside themselves with excitement, as the responses to their X teaser video make clear. 'What a time to be alive', declared @SoyNatuVA. Praying that one lucky ticket holder will pull through with a live stream, @mialovesoasis wrote: 'so so excited for tomorrow and i'm not even going'. @DlRTYSHlRT added that those in attendance tomorrow will be 'witnessing history', while @adele_liam told the pair: 'Welcome back I missed you sm'. Acquiesce Morning Glory Some Might Say Cigarettes & Alcohol Fade Away Supersonic Roll With It Bring It On Down Talk Tonight Half the World Away Little by Little D'You Know What I Mean Stand By Me Cast No Shadow Hello Slide Away Whatever Live Forever Rock and Roll Star The Masterplan Don't Look Back in Anger Wonderwall Champagne Supernova The official Oasis account previously shared further details about the structure of the night for the first tour show. Doors will open at 5pm before support acts Cast and Richard Ashcroft perform at 6pm and 7pm, respectively. Oasis will take to the stage at 8:15pm with a 10:30pm curfew, promising over two hours of music. The group will play 19 shows in the UK and Ireland this year before heading across Europe, with tickets sold to 900,000 fans. However, to say it's been smooth sailing getting here would be false. At the end of May, it was claimed that Noel and Liam still hadn't rehearsed together, with Liam also avoiding studio time with fellow performers Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs, Gem Archer, Andy Bell, and Mikey Rowe. Instead, Liam, who is set to become a grandfather for the first time in a matter of months, has been chilling at his £4million mansion in the South of France with his girlfriend, Debbie Gwyther. Oh, and he's also been tweeting… Just this week, the singer offended a large number of South Korean Oasis fans by tweeting the phrase 'chingchong'. 'Chingchong' (believed to have originated in the 19th century) is understood as an offensive or derogatory phrase that's used to mock or denigrate East Asian languages. While usually intended to insult people who speak Chinese languages, it has also been applied towards languages and speakers from Japan and South Korea. Liam deleted the post shortly after and responded nonchalantly with 'Whatever' when one user warned he might get cancelled. It's believed Oasis will generate a whopping £400million in ticket sales and add-ons, just from their initial dates. As for their take-home pay, Noel and Liam are thought to be getting £50million each. More Trending But for those gutted to have missed out on tickets, have no fear, because after a disastrous first sale, the group announced last week that more tickets could become available. 'Oasis promoters may be able to release a very limited number of additional tickets for sale once final sight lines are checked and the production is fine tuned,' a statement read. 'These final production releases will happen over the coming days. Look Back In Anger The Gallagher brothers have had more fights than hit records. And fans and tour promoters are praying the pair can manage all their gigs without yet another epic fallout. It is nearly 16 years since the nastiest of all their altercations signalled the end of the band, which had sold more than 50million records, released eight UK No1 albums and played two record-breaking shows at Knebworth. Noel and Liam had reached a point where they only saw each other on stage. They didn't even travel together. At the planned penultimate show of their 2009 world tour in Paris, Noel didn't even make it through the curtains after a pre-show brawl. Liam had smashed one of his prized guitars, and Noel walked out on the band. You can read all about what really happened here.
