Oasis hit with ‘endless' big money offers to play major festivals next year after success of reunion tour

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) AFTER selling out their epic 41-show reunion tour in minutes, Oasis proved they are still the biggest band on the planet. And their popularity means they are now the most in-demand — with big-money offers for more performances rolling in almost daily for Noel and Liam Gallagher. 10 Oasis are being offered big money offers to play major festivals next year Credit: WENN 10 The band are wanted for festivals in the US like Coachella and European ones like Benicassim Credit: The Mega Agency Insiders have told me the brothers, who will play their third show at Manchester's Heaton Park tonight, are being hit with bids from all over the globe. 'If fans thought Oasis were busy, they should see the offers their teams are fielding behind the scenes,' my music mole said. 'Festivals in the US like Coachella want Oasis to headline next year, as well as big ones in Europe including Benicassim. 'Then you have businesses and individuals who want them to perform. The offers are endless. 'None of the bids are being accepted at the moment. They're just being stacked up to be discussed at a later date. The focus for Oasis is this tour, and so far it's been a phenomenal success. 'Any decisions about future performances are a long way off — but some of them look incredibly tempting. 'It's all up to Noel and Liam, though, and whether they want to continue — or if this run is enough. They're loving every second of being back on stage in front of their fans so far. 'The atmosphere and chemistry between them is electric.' I saw that chemistry myself when I watched the first night of the tour in Cardiff, and any rumours that Noel and Liam won't be able to see out the run without a squabble seem pretty far-fetched in my eyes. Tonight they'll come out hand-in-hand again before playing their 23-song set list. What's REALLY going on backstage at Oasis & Gregg Wallace scandal sparks ANOTHER BBC crisis The tour continues in the UK until August, when Noel and Liam head to the US. And my band insider revealed the set list might change to take in their Stateside fans' favourite tracks. Right now it is an ode to their biggest and best Nineties hits with every track, bar Little By Little, released in either 1994 or 1995, with the killer encore of The Masterplan, Don't Look Back In Anger, Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova. 'Oasis won't be changing the songs for their UK and Ireland legs but there may be some tweaks when they go overseas,' my mole explained. 'It's still up in the air but Noel and Liam want to make sure they're giving all their fans the songs they want to hear — so there could be some tweaks made here and there.' 10 My band insider revealed the set list might change to take in their US fans' favourite tracks Credit: The Mega Agency Rihanna loves Mother-hood RIHANNA channelled her inner Kylie Minogue in a white head-covering – with her baby bump on show. More info Oasis ' iconic hit Don't Look Back in Anger has been named the band's most played song on UK radio and TV in the 21st century, according to music licensing company, Phonographic Performance Limited (PPL). It comes as Edinburgh gears up to welcome the band to the city next month as a part of their highly anticipated reunion tour, which kicked off in Cardiff last week- marking their first performance together in almost 16 years, reports the Daily Record. The licensing company compiled a list of the top 10 most played songs from the band in the past 25 years. PPL, which licenses the use of recorded music across UK radio, TV and public venues, compiled the list using two decades' worth of airplay data. The result is a definitive chart of Oasis' most broadcasted songs since 2000. Coming in second is the stellar hit Wonderwall, followed by She's Electric in third place. Roll With It and Little By Little round out the top five. Also making the top 10 are The Importance of Being Idle, Whatever, Some Might Say, Live Forever and Champagne Supernova, which closes out the list. Sign up for Edinburgh Live newsletters for more headlines straight to your inbox Remarkably, six of the top 10 songs come from the band's legendary 1995 album (What's The Story) Morning Glory?, which remains the UK's fifth best selling album of all time, according to the Official Charts Company. The PPL data also found that Oasis have built up more than seven years of cumulative airplay on UK radio and TV stations since 2000, with their songs being played, on average, 120 times per day across the country. Peter Leathem, chief executive of PPL, praised the band's cultural significance, saying: "Oasis are one of the most iconic, era-defining bands we have ever seen." "They dominated the 1990s and 2000s, and for many, they personified those decades, but their timeless songs continue to resonate with audiences even long after their release," he continued. He added: "With their reunion tour underway, this chart provides the perfect opportunity to look back in admiration at the enduring impact of their music throughout this century, and to celebrate one of the greatest British bands of all time." The band performed together at Cardiff's Principality Stadium last weekend for the first time since their dramatic split in 2009, which was prompted by a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival in France. Noel and Liam Gallagher will continue their tour heading to their own city - Manchester - for five sold-out nights at Heaton Park. However their UK and Ireland tour has received some backlash from fans who were outraged after standard ticket prices jumped from £148 to £355. In response, the UK Government and the Competition and Markets Authority pledged to review the issue. The band's world tour, Oasis Live '25, will see the band perform at Manchester's Heaton Park, London's Wembley Stadium, Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium and Dublin's Croke Park throughout July, August and September before heading to Japan, South Korea, South America, Australia and North America.

Oasis surprise fans with dramatic set list change and new song

Noel and Liam Gallagher have shocked fans at Heaton Park by changing up the set list and adding a new song they didn't play in Cardiff. Fans last week who saw the first Oasis shows in 16 years at the Principality stadium were treated to 23 songs including Supersonic and Little By Little. And the band are well known for sticking to the same set a lot, sometimes without changing for a whole tour. But back in Manchester they decided to give the fans something extra and played another song from their iconic back catalogue. The changing set list gives fans hope that other songs may be added at other venues. Taylor Swift played different songs every night on her recent world tour. A few simple words on social media on August 27 in 2024 were enough to spark pandemonium among Oasis fans and were the catalyst for the most eagerly awaited UK gigs of all time. This special unofficial magazine, available to order here, marks the reunion and honours the band both now and down the years with our incredible archive of photos and interviews - and with exclusive reviews and photographs of their first show! In Cardiff the majority of Oasis fans were happy with the choice of songs although there were some notable songs missing. Amongst those missing which are popular amongst fans are Columbia, Lyla, Go Let It Out, Stop Crying Your Heart Out, The Importance Of Being Idle and the Beatles classic I Am The Walrus, which the band sometimes play as an encore. Commenting on the Cardiff set list, Paul Johnson said on X: 'There's absolute bangers they left out.' Mick Went 57 said: 'Good but no Columbia? Def in their top 5 imo.' In the tour programme Noel reflected on playing with Oasis and his brother, saying: 'People will never forget the way you made them feel.' He also mused about why so many people of all ages tried to get tickets for the Oasis Live 25 tour. Noel said: 'A new generation recognises how Oasis wasn't manufactured. It was chaotic, and flawed, and not technically brilliant. We were rough and ready guys from a rehearsal room, and people recognised it.' Their return to Manchester coincided with a heatwave and Oasis warned fans ahead of Friday's gig to wear sun screen and keep hydrated ahead of the show. After Manchester Oasis go to London, Edinburgh, and Dublin as well as the US, South America and Australia. The Gallaghers shocked fans last weekend with a symbolic sign of unity by coming on stage holding hands.

Don't Look Back In Anger named UK's most played Oasis song of the 21st century

Oasis hit Don't Look Back In Anger takes the crown as the band's most-played song on UK radio and TV in the 21st century, according to the music licensing company, Phonographic Performance Limited (PPL). Following the band's highly anticipated reunion tour, which began last week in Cardiff and comes to Croke Park for two nights in August, the licensing company compiled a list of the top 10 most played songs by the band from the past 25 years. PPL, which licenses the use of recorded music on radio, TV and in public places, used airplay data from radio and TV stations across the UK to put the list together. It revealed that Wonderwall was the second most-played recording on UK radio and TV, followed by She's Electric at number three, Roll With It at number four and Little By Little taking fifth place. The Importance Of Being Idle, Whatever, Some Might Say and Live Forever followed. The top 10 list ends with Champagne Supernova, the closing track to their second studio album (What's The Story) Morning Glory?. Released in 1995, the album became the fifth bestselling album in the UK, according to the Official Charts Company, and contributed six tracks to the top 10 list. The data also found that Oasis have built up more than seven years of cumulative airplay on UK radio and TV stations since 2000, with their songs being played on average, 120 times per day across the country. Peter Leathem, chief executive of PPL, said: "Oasis are one of the most iconic, era-defining bands we have ever seen. "They dominated the 1990s and 2000s, and for many, they personified those decades, but their timeless songs continue to resonate with audiences even long after their release." This comes after the band performed together at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on Friday for the first time in almost 16 years after their dramatic split in 2009, which was prompted by a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival in France. Mr Leathem added: "With their reunion tour underway, this chart provides the perfect opportunity to look back in admiration at the enduring impact of their music throughout this century, and to celebrate one of the greatest British bands of all time." Trick Liam and Noel Gallagher are using to protect voices on Oasis tour

EXCLUSIVE: Liam and Noel Gallagher are preparing for their homecoming shows at Manchester's Heaton Park this weekend but have a clever trick to protect their voices Liam and Noel Gallagher are using humble paper straws to help keep their voices in top shape on the Oasis multi-million pound reunion tour. The brothers kicked off the Oasis Live '25 tour last weekend with two nights at Cardiff's Principality Stadium with fans blown away by how the band sounded after 16 years away, with both Liam, 52, and Noel, 58, praised for their vocals. The secret to the siblings' performance is a vocal warm-up technique which involves humming into a paper straw for 30 minutes before they step on stage. The technique, which is recommended by doctors and vocal coaches, is known as straw phonation and it is medically proven to relax the vocal cords and improve vocal efficiency as the resistance provided by the straw allows for a more balanced and coordinated vibration of the vocal folds, reducing strain. Noel was seen walking through the backstage area, blowing into the straw just before he got on stage to sing classics like Half The World Away and Little By Little, whilst Liam has used the technique for his solo shows for the last few years. A source said: 'Noel and Liam are doing everything in their power to ensure they sound at their very best for these mammoth sold-out shows. It is well know that Liam has had issues with his voice in the past and he has found straw phonation to be a great way to warm-up his vocal cords. 'Noel has been an advocate of it for years since he had issues with his voice when he supported U2 on tour in 2019. It has made a huge difference to how he sings. There will be plenty of paper straws backstage for the brothers, but they won't be used to sip cocktails.' Noel previously spoke about using the paper straw technique on The Matt Morgan Podcast in 2022. He said: 'When I was on tour with U2 and there was a lot of parties. "At one point, when we were in Australia, my voice was shattered, it was in a bad way. We'd been out late the night before and we had a gig the next day and I woke up and my voice was f***** and wasn't coming back. 'So, I went to see a vocal specialist in Melbourne. I go in there and the guy says, 'Sit down Mr. Gallagher, so I believe your voice is a bit crook?' I said, 'Yeah. It's a bit f*****, I've been on the road for a couple of years.' I said, 'A bit, but I don't really like belting it out.' To cut a long story short he gave me this straw, just a normal paper straw, and he said, 'Half an hour before you go on, in your room, put some music on and put this straw in your mouth and just hum along to whatever comes on and your vocal cords will warm up.' I went, 'Really?' And he said, 'Just try it mate, it will change your life.' I did and it's an amazing little trick. 'I was a bit sceptical, but it really does work. Usually it would take me a couple of tunes to get into it and now I'm straight into it, straight off the bat. I carry them everywhere now, I have a little pot of paper straws. Some of the girls in the office went, 'Are you smoking again? People saw you carrying around a cigarette backstage, looks so cool.' I was like, 'No, it's just a straw to warm up with.' 'The doctor said to me, 'Maybe do it for half an hour after so you warm down.' I would get on the bus and it would take half an hour to get back, I'd hum a little ditty on the way back whilst checking messages on my phone and you're all good.' The tour moves to Manchester's Heaton Park on Friday before dates in London, Edinburgh and Dublin and a world tour. viagogo and resale tickets Sites such as viagogo, Stubhub, and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans.
