Alcaraz to Face Sinner in 2025 Wimbledon Men's Final

Rana Atef
Today, Spanish star Carlos Alcaraz, two-time defending Wimbledon champion and current world No. 2, is gearing up for a fiery showdown against Italian world No. 1 Jannik Sinner in the final of the tournament.
Both have firmly established themselves on the global stage, snatching the spotlight from tennis's 'legendary trio': Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic, who dominated the sport for decades.
Djokovic, the last remaining member of the trio at 38 years old, exited the tournament in the semifinals after a straight-sets loss to Sinner, who is seen by many as a successor to the Serbian star's style and dominance.
On the other hand, Alcaraz had to battle for over three hours to overcome American fifth seed Taylor Fritz, securing a spot in a Grand Slam final for the sixth time in his career and the third consecutive time on Wimbledon's grass courts.
The two young stars have recently taken control of the Grand Slam scene, sharing the last six titles between them.
Sunday's final will be decisive in determining who claims the seventh.

Al Nassr Appoint Portuguese Coach Jorge Jesus for 1 Season

Rana Atef On Monday, Saudi club Al Nassr officially announced the appointment of Portuguese manager Jorge Jesus as head coach of the first football team. The contract is a one-year one. In an official statement, the club confirmed that Jesus signed the deal in Riyadh, just days before the team's preseason camp kicks off on July 17. Jesus replaces Italian coach Stefano Pioli, whose stint with 'Al-Alami' lasted less than a full season. As part of the summer preparation program, Al Nassr management has agreed with Jesus to play five friendly matches. Three of those will be held in Austria during the first phase of the camp, followed by two matches in Portugal, including a highly anticipated clash with French side Olympique Lyon. The team will open their friendlies with a match against an amateur Austrian side. Al Nassr had previously outlined a 30-day preparation plan involving three stages: the gathering in Riyadh on July 17, followed by training in Austria from July 20 to August 4, and then a second phase in Portugal until August 11. The final leg will take place in Hong Kong. The team is expected to conclude preparations with a high-profile match against Al Ittihad in the Saudi Super Cup semifinal, scheduled for August 18. read more Japan Stun Spain 2-1 to Qualify for World Cup Last 16 World Cup 2022: Get to Know Confirmed Line-ups of Japan and Spain Group E Decider Saudi Arabia Bid Farewell to World Cup after 2-1 Loss to Mexico Tunisia Achieve Historic Win over France but Fail to Qualify Tunisia to Clash against France in World Cup Sports Get to Know Squad of Group D Teams in World Cup Sports Al Ahly Gift EGP 70,000 to Players After Claiming Egyptian Super Cup Title Sports Bencharki Hits First 2 Goals with Al Jazira Since Leaving Zamalek Sports Arsenal Possible Line-up for Nottingham Forest News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream

Real Madrid sign Benfica's Carreras to continue summer rebuild - World

Real Madrid signed defender Alvaro Carreras from Benfica on a six-year deal, the Spanish giants said on Monday. The 22-year-old Spanish left-back, who played for Madrid's youth academy before joining Manchester United in 2020, is reported to have cost close to 50 million euros ($58 million). "Real Madrid and Benfica have reached an agreement for the transfer of Alvaro Carreras, who will be under contract with our club for the next six seasons, until 30 June 2031," said Los Blancos in a statement. The defender played 62 times for Benfica, scoring five goals for the club, including an initial loan spell before they signed him for six million euros from United in 2024. Carreras becomes Madrid's fourth signing of a significant summer rebuild after Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dean Huijsen and Franco Mastantuono, at an estimated cost of around 170 million euros in transfer fees. After finishing last season without a major trophy coach Carlo Ancelotti departed and was replaced by Xabi Alonso. The Spaniard steered Madrid to the Club World Cup semi-finals but they were hammered 4-0 by runners-up Paris Saint-Germain.
