Prue Leith's update on Great British Bake Off exit rumours

It comes as The Masked Singer star was replaced by Caroline Waldegrave as a judge alongside Paul Hollywood on the latest series of the Stand Up 2 Cancer Celebrity Bake Off specials, which left fans concerned.
Earlier this week, Prue appeared on ITV's Lorraine to speak about her role as guest chef at Wilderness Festival in Oxfordshire this month, as she prepares to head a banquet for hundreds of people.
A post shared by Dame Prue Leith (@prueleith)
But she also addressed her future on Bake Off and explained: 'I keep being asked if I'm leaving.
'This is because I left the celebrity [version]. I stopped doing that last year because I just hadn't had a holiday in the summer for eight years. I've only given up Celebrity [Bake Off]."
Confirming she is still a huge part of the original baking show, described as 'mother of them all', Prue added: 'I still do The Great American Bake Off, which we are filming at the moment, and I still do The Great British Bake Off, which I love, and is the mother of them all."
Revealing why the 85-year-old has no plans on going anywhere just yet, Prue commented: "It's the best job in telly. It's absolutely the best job in telly, I don't have to learn lines, I don't have to have a script. I don't have to rehearse. I just walk on and eat cake."
You can watch Prue's full Loraine interview on ITVX.
Cherish Finden is reportedly set to take over Prue's role on the celebrity Bake Off specials in 2026, following Caroline stepping in this year, according to The Sun.

Controversial EastEnders villain set to move to Emmerdale

The ITV soap has called on the services of Chris Coghill, best known for playing the evil paedophile Tony King in rival soap EastEnders. His child sexual abuse storyline in the noughties marked the first time the subject matter had been broached in a UK soap opera, resulting in over 200 complaints from the public. Despite that, it received praise for raising awareness about the hidden nature of sexual abuse. Years later, Coghill will return to a different soap and start filming for his stint on the show this week. #EastEnders Who was Tony King? A reminder of Whitney's tragic past as her abuser's son vows to clear his dead dad's name Bosses have revealed he's playing a character called Kev who is on the hunt for someone already in the village. A source told the Sun that the addition of Kev will bring in heaps of drama: 'Kev is a complicated character who's going to set the cat amongst the pigeons in the village. 'It's going to lead to some huge storylines throughout autumn when what he wants is revealed.' Emmerdale Producer, Laura Shaw, said: 'We are delighted that someone of Chris' calibre has joined our cast. 'I think the viewers will be intrigued to see how the character of Kev will cause shockwaves this autumn. 'Kev has a strong connection to one of our characters and it's safe to say his arrival is going to be a massive surprise that will have major repercussions for some of our villagers.' Emmerdale fans ‘work out' who newcomer Kev is looking for

Emmerdale fans are feeling intrigued following the news of a new character. Yesterday, it was revealed that Chris Coghill will play mysterious newcomer Kev in the ITV soap. The actor, best known to soap fans as evil paedophile Tony King in BBC One's EastEnders, will become a permanent fixture in the Yorkshire Dales from September. Though Emmerdale bosses are remaining tight-lipped as to the full scope of Kev's intentions, they have let slip that he arrives searching for one villager in particular…but who? And why? On the new addition to the village, Emmerdale boss Laura Shaw said: 'We are delighted that someone of Chris' calibre has joined our cast. 'Kev has a strong connection to one of our characters and it's safe to say his arrival is going to be a massive surprise that will have major repercussions for some of our villagers.' With knowledge that Kev is linked to one resident of the village, audience members have wasted no time in theorising who that person will be. Taking to social media platform X, fans have shared multiple character names. Top of the list is Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley). With the audience yet to discover just what he went through while in prison, some are wondering if Kev will share a connection with him. 'I bet it's something to do with Robert's time in prison', this fan wondered. Elsewhere, some believe Kev might end up being Lewis Barton's (Bradley Riches) biological father, while others have remembered that Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) will be part of a huge storyline in the Autumn, and are curious Kev might be involved with that. 'Is he Mack's upcoming running story?', a user of X shared. More Trending 'Is he a former cellmate just out prison like Robert looking for him to cause him problems? Or someone John has known or has had issue with in past looking to kill the killer or a side kick to Ray? Do not hurt #Robron or #Mackron.' Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? Lexi, 19, is currently on holiday with her famous mum and new man in Greece, and shared photos of the loved-up pair enjoying a snog on a luxury boat. "Vitamin D and a little PDA," Lexi captioned the Instagram post. She was inundated with comments, including from Britain's Got Talent judge mum, who posted a love-heart eye emoji in reply to the photo. Another person commented: "oh get it get it." "HELLO," added another. Before their trip, Lexi and Amanda, 54, were recently spotted in Wimbledon looking glamourous while watching the tennis on Centre Court. The Britain's Got Talent judge put on a stunning display in a yellow sleeveless dress and giant sunglasses. Lexi wore a white crop top and pinstripe trousers, accessorising with mirrored shades. While Lexi is often compared to her TV mum, Amanda revealed that her oldest daughter finds it embarrassing when people compare them. 'I think they find it a bit embarrassing,' Amanda told The Sun's Fabulous magazine in April. Amanda beams with joy as Lexi finishes school 'Lexi said that there are a lot of people at uni who make cheeky comments, which I find very flattering. 'Hollie doesn't really give a damn. But I do have to walk behind her. She doesn't want anyone to know I'm her mother!' Amanda also admitted to struggling with the fact Lexi has flown the nest and is now at university. 'I miss her like crazy and it's really weird sitting down to a family meal with just the three of us. The house does feel a bit empty, so I'm just gradually filling it up with more pets," Amanda said. "We've recently rescued a dog from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home and I'm planning to rescue another one in September. We've also got a cat and another dog.' Amanda is realistic about her daughters getting older and is proud of how Lexi, who also works as a model for the agency Storm, has embraced her next chapter. 'I do miss her but, at the same time, it's really nice seeing her become a little bit more independent,' she explains. 'She's all loved-up. She's got good friends and I like her strong morals.'
