Exclusive - Dipshikkha Nagppal: My Trip to the U.S. Was Impromptu and Unforgettable
'When you're doing a daily soap, you hardly get any time to travel,' she said. 'If you're planning a trip to the USA, you need at least 25–30 days because one week just goes into recovering from jet lag!'
Dipshikkha revealed that her close friend and actress Kashmera Shah had been inviting her to visit Los Angeles for a long time. 'She has a beautiful house in LA and always insisted we come stay there. But with work, no one really gets 30 days off in one stretch.
So the moment I found out I had a month's leave, I booked my ticket on impulse and joined her in LA.'
But her trip didn't end there. As soon as people in New York learned she was in the country, she was invited to attend the curtain raiser event for the 5th India Day Parade. 'It was such an honour,' Dipshikkha said, glowing with pride. 'The Indian community in Long Island is so beautiful. There's so much love and support amongst them, and they gave me so much of it too.
They even honoured me with a certificate—it felt truly special.
To receive such love for your work from people outside your country is heartwarming.'
She received an Executive Citation certificate at the IDP USA Curtain Raiser for her dedicated service to Nassau County residents, a moment she describes as both humbling and memorable.
She also made sure to spend a little time soaking in the energy of Times Square. 'I was there for just a day or two, but I made the most of it. The vibe is unmatched!'
Dipshikkha, who has always enjoyed travelling, mentioned that she continues to travel for work too and doesn't plan to stop anytime soon. 'I absolutely love it. Travel recharges me.'
From spontaneous flights to heartfelt honours, Dipshikkha's U.S. trip was not just about sightseeing—it was about connection, celebration, and embracing life beyond the sets.

Even though she clarified it, it was very hard for her. She was called a homewrecker... people said really nasty things. I felt terrible... We could not step out together," he added Talking about their pictures from a Christmas dinner, Yuzvendra stated that it was blown out of proportion. "We had a Christmas dinner with five people, but the photo was cropped to make it look like just the two of us were on a dinner date. It got to a point where we couldn't even go out with friends without worrying about what people would say," he said. Though Chahal hasn't represented India since August 2023, he continues to be active in domestic cricket and the IPL.
