Ground stop at Boston's Logan Airport after plane goes off runway while landing
JetBlue flight 312, an Airbus A220, rolled into a grassy area off runway 33-L as it came into land, according to Massport.
No one was injured in the incident.
The runway is closed as passengers on the plane are bussed off the runway. The ground stop is impacting departing planes, and it could be in place until 2 p.m., according to Massport.
The FAA lists the probability of an extension of the ground stoppage as 'medium.'
The plane was flying in from Chicago, according to the FAA.
In a statement, the FAA said, 'JetBlue Airways Flight 312 went into the grass while turning off the runway at Boston Logan International Airport around 11:55 a.m. local time on Thursday, June 12. The Airbus A220 departed Chicago O'Hare International Airport. The airport authority plans to deplane passengers via stairs and bus them to the terminal.
The FAA is leading an investigation into the incident.

LaGuardia Airport had about 180 flights canceled and 400 delayed, according to the site. Tuesday's expected storms come as many people are flying out of major airport hubs or driving ahead of the July 4 holiday weekend. A flood watch was in effect for the Washington, D.C., area, and heavy rains were expected in New York City.
