
Redington shares zoom 9% after Q4 profit jumps 183% YoY on broad-based demand
zoomed 9.5% to their intraday high of ₹306.85 on the BSE in early trade on Tuesday after the technology solutions provider reported a sharp 183% year-on-year rise in net profit for the March quarter, driven by strong demand across markets.
The company posted a consolidated net profit of ₹917.7 crore for Q4 FY25, compared to ₹323.9 crore in the same period last year. Revenue rose 17.9% YoY to ₹26,439.7 crore from ₹22,433.4 crore in Q4 FY24.
EBITDA for the quarter rose 30% to ₹596.9 crore, while margins improved to 2.3% from 2% a year ago, reflecting operational efficiencies.

Redington
reported record consolidated revenue of ₹99,562 crore, up 11% YoY. Normalised profit after tax (excluding one-time divestment gain) stood at ₹1,340 crore, marking a 10% YoY increase.
The company's growth was supported by broad-based demand. In Q4, revenue in India rose 26% YoY, while the UAE market grew by 24%. Redington also saw solid traction in Saudi Arabia and Africa, aided by enhanced go-to-market capabilities and expanded brand partnerships.

Redington's cloud business continued its robust growth trajectory, increasing by 41% YoY in Q4 FY2025. The company's Technology Solutions Group (TSG) grew by 28% YoY, driven by large deal wins and new software brand contracts.
Redington's board has recommended a final dividend of ₹6.80 per equity share, representing 39.5% of FY25 consolidated profits (excluding the one-time gain), subject to shareholder approval at the upcoming AGM.

SBI mobilises Rs 25,000 cr via QIP
State Bank of India (SBI) on Monday successfully raised Rs 25,000 crore through a qualified institutional placement (QIP) of its equity shares, marking the largest QIP ever in the Indian capital markets. The shares were issued at a price above the floor price of Rs 811.05 per share. 'The book received robust demand and was oversubscribed 4.5 times, reflecting strong investor confidence in SBI's strategy and the outlook for India's banking sector,' SBI said. The offering received an overwhelming response, with total subscriptions amounting to Rs 1.12 lakh crore. Foreign investors accounted for 64.3 per cent of total demand, underscoring the attractiveness of India's growth story. Marquee long term investors received 88 per cent of the final allocation, including 24 per cent of the issue size placed with foreign long-term investors, it said. SBI shares closed 0.11 per cent higher at Rs 824.20 on the BSE on Monday. SBI Chairman CS Setty said: 'This landmark equity raise is a vote of confidence in SBI's solid fundamentals, prudent risk management and digital-first growth agenda. We are grateful to both domestic and international investors for their overwhelming support, which also speaks volumes about the current strength and future potential of the Indian economy.' The capital infusion will strengthen SBI's Common Equity Tier-1 (CET-1) buffer, which is set to rise from 10.81 per cent as of March 31, 2025, to 11.50 per cent. This will enable the bank to support measured credit growth across the retail, MSME, and corporate segments.

UltraTech Cement posts profit of Rs 2,221 crore in Q1 FY26
NEW DELHI: UltraTech Cement on Monday reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 2,220.91 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2025. It had posted a net profit of Rs 1,493.45 crore for the year-ago period, the Aditya Birla group flagship firm said in a regulatory filing. Revenue from operations stood at Rs 21,275.45 crore during the first quarter of FY26. It was Rs 18,818.56 crore a year earlier. The company said its results for the June quarter are not comparable due to the acquisition of South-based India Cements Ltd, Wonder WallCare and Ras Al Khaimah, UAE-based RAKWCT. Moreover, the scheme for merger of cement business of Kesoram Industries with UltraTech and their respective shareholders and creditors was also effective from March 1, 2025. "The company's consolidated sales volumes reached 36.83 million tonne for the quarter, growing 9.7 per cent with the acquisitions of India Cements Limited and the cement business of Kesoram Industries," UltraTech said in its earnings statement. With all these acquisitions and brownfield expansions, UltraTech has increased its grey cement capacity to 192.26 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). "UltraTech's expansion program is progressing as scheduled, with the company continuously enhancing its production capabilities to meet the growing demand for cement," it said. Its total expenses in the June quarter of FY26 were at Rs 18,405.19 crore. The company's total income, which includes other income, was at Rs 21,455.68 crore in the June quarter. During the quarter, its energy costs were lower by 12 per cent Year-on-Year (YoY), mainly on account of reduced fuel prices. However, raw material costs marginally rose by 2 per cent, the statement added. On India Cements Ltd, the company which UltraTech acquired in December last year, said, "Comprehensive efforts on multiple fronts have enabled India Cements to generate an EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortization) of Rs 92 crore, compared to a loss of Rs 9 crore last year". Moreover, through debottlenecking, an additional capacity of 0.3 MTPA has been released from the India Cements assets in the lucrative northern region. "Furthermore, a capex plan is being made for investments over the next two years for improvement in all areas of operations to bring these assets at par with UltraTech standards," it said. In the June quarter, UltraTech commenced 12 MW of WHRS (Waste Heat Recovery Systems) capacity. "With this, the company's total WHRS capacity stands augmented to 363 MW," it said, adding that "The share of green power in the company's power mix is 39.5 per cent." Shares of UltraTech Cement settled 0.49 per cent higher at Rs 12,560 apiece on the BSE.
