‘A real pain': Brigitte Macron's snubs to French President raise eyebrows

Sky News AU20 hours ago
'To Di For' podcast host Kinsey Schofield discusses the bizarre relationship between Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron, following the French President's apparent snub by his wife during their UK state visit.
'I wish I felt sympathy for Brigitte, but we recently saw her appear to almost hit him [Emmanuel] on a plane,' Ms Schofield told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
'There's another video where she's walking down the staircase, and he reaches for her arm too on the plane, and she refuses to take it, she just ignores him.
'She seems like a real pain in the you know what, so I don't feel sympathy when people are asking tough questions about her because she doesn't seem like a very nice person to me.'

‘Embarrassing': Leaked Treasury advice reveals Labor has ‘failed' on cost of living

Sky News host Chris Kenny has slammed the Albanese government following the release of Treasury advice which revealed Treasurer Jim Chalmers has been told to increase taxes and reduce spending to avoid budget blowouts. 'We know Labor loves to increases taxes; it's already pushing for that tax hike on superannuation savings,' Mr Kenny said. 'As for cuts to government spending, well, we all know that's what's needed but getting a Labor government to cut spending, well, that's like trying to teach an emu to fly.'

‘Embarrassing for Labor': TV host slams Jim Chalmers over ‘relaxed' view on leaked file

Sky News Digital Presenter Gabriella Power discusses the 'embarrassing' moment the treasury leaked the wrong document which claimed the government will need to raise taxes to get the debt under control. 'How are the millions of Australians who are struggling to meet their mortgage repayments, their energy bills, or going up and up and up, and they're suffering through a cost-of-living crisis supposed to feel?' Ms Power told Sky News host Peta Credlin. 'I don't think they're getting any comfort hearing that he supposedly feels relaxed. 'The document also shows that Labor's promise to build 1.2 million homes over the next five years is not going to be met, not at all.'
