
Kannada teachers to be honoured in Mysuru
The prestigious event is scheduled for Sunday at 10am and will be held at the Navjyoti auditorium, JSS Women's College, Mysuru.
Instituted with the goal of promoting Kannada language at the school level, the award seeks to elevate the role of Kannada teachers and ensure the language receives its rightful place within the CBSE curriculum. The initiative is also a step toward preserving Kannada and instilling pride in students about their linguistic heritage.
For this year's awards, 170 Kannada teachers from different districts were selected. All awardees taught students who scored a perfect score in Kannada in the 2024 CBSE Class 10 examinations.
The ceremony will be presided over by Gundlupet MLA Ganesh Prasad, while MLC B Vivekananda will inaugurate the event. Krishnaraja MLA TS Srivatsa will felicitate the awardees.
The event is being organised under the guidance of Sri Niranjanamurthy, deputy director of the JSS Mahavidyapeetha College education division, and Maddikere Gopal, president of the Mysuru zilla Kannada Sahitya Parishat. Teachers and awardees from across Karnataka are expected to attend the event.
The Pariksha Spoorthi Guru Shreshtha Award stands as a symbol of respect and recognition for the dedication of teachers who uphold and enrich Kannada education in CBSE schools.

CBSE begins preparing students for board exams
Advt Advt Schools have begun to orient students for next year's board exams on the basis of sample papers and marking schemes which has been recently released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for the academic session 2025–26. According to the official CBSE circular, there has been no change in the exam pattern or marking scheme from the previous academic year (2024–25).This year, the CBSE released the sample papers earlier than usual, providing students more time to familiarise themselves with the structure of the upcoming exams. Alongside the sample papers, the marking schemes were also made available on the board's official website: Shekhar, academic coordinator at Oxford Public School, said, "These resources aim not only to aid exam preparation but also to strengthen classroom learning and conceptual understanding. CBSE has encouraged schools to integrate the sample papers into regular teaching practices."According to the circular, the sample papers cover all subjects, with most provided in both English and Hindi (excluding language-specific papers). The board examinations for both classes will be conducted in Feb 2026, with general instructions, section-wise distribution, and maximum marks clearly defined in the sample documents."CBSE's sample papers guide students preparing for competitive exams. It's like a roadmap that guides our preparation and boosts our confidence for the board exams."

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the schedule for re-evaluation and verification of marks for students who appeared in the Class 10 and 12 supplementary examinations. While the CBSE Class 12 compartment results were declared on August 1, the Class 10 results are still awaited. Once released, students will be able to check their scores on the official websites at and using their roll number, school number, admit card ID, and security pin. Verification & Re-evaluation Schedule CBSE has detailed the timeline and fees for post-result processes. The applications must be submitted online, and the board will accept only one application per candidate at each step. No offline payments, including cash, demand drafts, or money orders, will be entertained. The processing fees are non-refundable. Who Can Apply For Verification? Only those students who apply for a photocopy of their evaluated answer book will be eligible to apply for verification of marks. After receiving the scanned copy, candidates must thoroughly check for any errors in totalling, unchecked answers, or incorrect marking. The verification result will be made available through the same online portal used for submitting the application. CBSE clarified that any change in marks, whether an increase or decrease will reflect in the final result. Even a reduction by a single mark will be updated and cannot be contested further. Re-evaluation is open only to students who have accessed the scanned copy of their answer sheet. Under this process, candidates can challenge the marks awarded to specific questions. Each challenge requires a payment of Rs 100 per question. Students are advised to consult the official marking scheme provided along with the question paper before filing their request with appropriate justification. The outcome of the re-evaluation will be final. Once declared, students will be informed via the official website and by their respective CBSE Regional Office. The Board has made it clear that no appeals will be entertained after the re-evaluation results are released.
