Prime Video has announced Panchayat Season 5, along with release details. A brand new poster of the upcoming season has also been unveiled.
Panchayat 5 Release: After the phenomenal success of Panchayat 4, Prime Video has announced that a brand new season is already in development and will premiere in 2026. Since its debut on Prime Video in 2018, Panchayat has consistently won hearts and earned critical acclaim. The announcement of the new season comes as a delight for fans, who are on a cliffhanger over the fate of the latest season's village politics.
Contrary to the poster of Panchayat 4, the new glimpse from the upcoming season has all the characters in a joyful mood. While the Manju Devi Vs Kranti Devi battle continues to exists, the light-hearted poster, with everyone smiling wide, will leave you excited for a whole new season of joyride and challenges. Not to forget, lauki (bottle gourd) plays a key feature in the new poster. 'Hi 5 Phulera wapas aane ki taiyyaari shuru kar lijiye #PanchayatOnPrime, New Season, Coming Soon," read the caption. Previously, Sanvikaa, also plays Rinki on the show, exclusively told News18 Showsha that Panchayat Season 5 is officially in the works. 'Yes, yes, yes, definitely. It is happening," Sanvikaa said, addressing the much-asked question. 'The writing is still in the process, and hopefully we should go on floors maybe by the end of November or the start of next year." However, she kept details about the plot tightly under wraps.
Teasing fans about the unresolved storyline, especially between her character Rinki and Jitendra Kumar's Sachiv ji, she said, 'That's why we left the season at that point, so we can take it up in the next season. But what is happening with Sachiv ji's and Rinki's life? We have no idea!" She added that only the writers and the director know what's coming next, and fans should let them know they want to see more of the pair together.

While it was earlier reported that he suffered a heart attack, he later clarified it was actually gastroesophageal reflux disease, which caused heart attack-like symptoms. Now, nearly three weeks after the health scare, Aasif shared that he has quit smoking and hasn't had a cigarette in 21 days. He shared a few pictures from the hospital, which left fans wondering if he was still admitted. However, he clarified that he has returned home and shared a health update, saying he is much better now and feeling stronger. On Sunday, Aasif Khan shared a series of pictures from the hospital.
