GMA Network statement on estafa complaint against officers of TAPE, Inc.
The complaint, filed before the Office of the City Prosecutor of Quezon City, names the following TAPE executives as respondents: Romeo Jalosjos, Jr. (former President and CEO), Romeo Jalosjos, Sr. (Chairman of the Board), Seth Frederick "Bullet" Jalosjos (Treasurer), Malou Choa-Fagar (former COO and current President and CEO), Michaela Magtoto (former Senior Vice President for Finance), and Zenaida Buenavista (Finance Consultant).
The complaint stems from respondents' failure to remit advertising revenues collected from clients, which had been contractually assigned to GMA Network under a 2023 Assignment Agreement. Despite multiple formal demands, the funds were not transferred to GMA because they were instead used for TAPE's operational expenses, in violation of the trust arrangement outlined in the agreement.
GMA Network is pursuing legal action to hold the responsible officers accountable and to recover the misappropriated amount.

GMA Network's family sitcom "Pepito Manaloto" has issued a warning against fake promos and fake Facebook pages using the show's name. On Friday, the official and verified Facebook page of "Pepito Manaloto" advised the public to be wary of messages and texts containing links, as well as messages asking for personal information, such as one's name, address, and bank details in relation to a supposed promo by the show. "Manatiling ligtas at mapanuri tayo sa mga natatanggap na mensahe." The official "Pepito Manaloto" page has asked the public to report such fake pages and stay vigilant. Also on Friday, "Pepito Manaloto" and "Bubble Gang" star Michael V. issued a warning against a fake account impersonating him. "Eto na naman tayo. Hindi ko po account or profile 'to. Scammer 'to. Ricky Davao's character Emil makes first appearance in 'Sang'gre'
The late actor Ricky Davao made his first appearance in "Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre" as Emil, a new villain in the story. On Thursday's episode, Emil was introduced as the feared leader of Pistol Gang in Distrito Sais, who are the primary instigators of various illegal activities and wrongdoings in the area, including exploitation of jeep and tricycle drivers, establishment of illegal gambling dens, supply of illegal drugs, and more. His introduction came just after the deaths of bad guys Victor and his cohort, members of the Pistol Gang, after attempting to drive young Terra (Juharra Asayo) and her family out of their neighborhood. While an unseen force (actually a duwende) made the culprits shoot themselves, Emil wasted no time asserting his dominance in their absence. He sent his men to demand continued payments from Terra's family and their neighbors, hinting at the wider control he held over their community. Ricky passed away in May after facing complications related to cancer. He was 63 years old. He is survived by his four children: Kenneth, Rikki Mae, Arabella, and Justine. GMA Network declines TAPE's settlement offer
GMA Network did not accept the amount offered by Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Inc. to settle its debt. According to Mel Tiangco's report on "24 Oras," Wednesday, the two parties attended a mediation meeting in line with the estafa complaint that GMA filed against TAPE. GMA Network is demanding P37.9 million from the owners of TAPE Inc. for the airtime fees that TAPE Inc. failed to remit to GMA. However, TAPE Inc.'s settlement offer at present is not enough. The case will now be re-raffled to another prosecutor who will conduct a preliminary investigation into the matter. GMA Network, Inc. filed a criminal complaint for estafa with abuse of confidence against officers of TAPE Inc. for the misappropriation of funds totaling P37,941,352.56.
