Steelers' Aaron Rodgers says the quiet part out loud about interception at training camp
At Thursday's training camp, the noise surrounding Rodgers' interception on the opening throw of team drills was deafening — but the four-time MVP wasn't worried, downplaying the pick to two-time Pro Bowl LB Patrick Queen.
"Man, it's good to get that out the way," Rodgers said, via ESPN's Brooke Pryor. "Anybody that's watched me practice over the years, you'd like to try certain throws at certain times. Anybody that's watched me in games knows I've been pretty stellar at taking care of the football over the years."
While the first training camp practice didn't go his way, Rodgers' ball security over his 20-year career is no joke — boasting six entries among the top 15 single-season TD-to-INT ratios in NFL history.
Rodgers will undoubtedly look to shift the narrative as training camp continues — starting with Friday's practice and a fresh set of reps.

Abdul Carter is a menace The first full padded practice isn't until Monday, so we won't know exactly how good rookie linebacker Abdul Carter is. So far, he's been blowing by everyone. Cowboys sign tight end Jake Ferguson to a 4-year, $52 million extension
OXNARD, Calif. (AP) — The Dallas Cowboys signed tight end Jake Ferguson to a four-year, $52 million extension Sunday. The deal includes a $12 million signing bonus. A fourth-round pick in 2022, Ferguson is entering the final year of his rookie deal. He had 59 catches for 494 yards but did not have a touchdown reception last season. The previous year, he posted career highs with 71 catches for 761 yards and five TDs. Ferguson dealt with knee and concussion issues last year but still started 14 games. This deal comes as two-time All-Pro defensive end Micah Parsons remains in negotiations for his own extension, entering the final season of his rookie deal. Falcons owner Arthur Blank envisions one international game per team, per year
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has said the league wants to stage 16 international games per year. The simplest math leads to one inescapable conclusion. Every team would play an international game, every year. Via Sports Business Journal, Falcons owner Arthur Blank said during a Saturday appearance on NFL Network that an 'international game every year for every team' is 'probably on the horizon.' It makes senses. Even if certain teams will create far less excitement than others, it makes sense for every team to be expected to do it once per year, for competitive reasons. For now, the league is limited under the Collective Bargaining Agreement to a maximum of 10 international games per year. In the next labor deal, it's widely expected that the number will increase to 16. With that (or possibly before that) will arrive an international broadcast package, primarily featuring European games that begin at 9:30 a.m. ET.
