Fans Of JDT, Sri Pahang Flood Bukit Jalil National Stadium Since 4pm
The weather at the home venue of the national football team was slightly cloudy following a light rain early this evening, but this did not dampen the spirits of the supporters who were present ahead of the match kick-off scheduled for 9 pm.
The atmosphere was lively with various activities attracting the attention of supporters of both teams, which was also further heated up by Amy Search's First Solo Concert held at the Axiata Arena next to the stadium on the same day.

Confidence in the ability of his proud team prompted one of Sri Pahang's loyal supporters, Syamsuri Saari, to travel from Jerantut to SNBJ with his three children, namely Mohd Shaufiqul Islam, 13, Mohd Uwais Al Qarni, 12, Ariq Arrayyan, 11.
"We are here because it has been eleven years since we last went to the final, so even though we know we may lose, the hope of winning is still there, because in football, someone has to lose but winning is not known yet for both JDT and Sri Pahang.
"I have been a Pahang fan since the beginning and often go to the stadium no matter what the match is, and in the last four years I started bringing my children to the stadium with me and this tradition continues," said the 47-year-old government employee.
Meanwhile, non-governmental organisation Johor Volunteers brought more than 2,000 JDT supporters to brightened the atmosphere with cheers and displaying banners.
The coordinator, Tun Naim Satiman said that as soon as the final date was announced, they planned to gather a group to boost the spirits of the Johoreans in the final match.
'When the club successfully booked a place for the final match and the date was confirmed, we immediately planned to support the team, as well as be another strength with the Boys of Straits (loyal JDT supporters),' he said.

The film, titled Sentuhan Wira (Touch of a Hero), was officially launched by producer Victory Pictures Sdn Bhd yesterday, in conjunction with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the relevant parties, witnessed by National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS) Chairman, Datuk Gerald Hans Isaac. "We want the current generation to feel what we experienced as players and to witness the unity and strong patriotic spirit among us. Even though we came from different races, we still succeeded together for one purpose,' he told reporters after the MoU signing. "Yes, it's been a long time-33 years without winning the Thomas Cup. So, with the release of this film, we hope it can boost the spirit of our current players to become more motivated. "What's more important is the spirit of patriotism, not individual glory, but the collective drive to bring honour to the nation,' he said, adding that back then, they placed national pride above personal interests. Meanwhile, Sentuhan Wira director Lenny Ooi said he will present an action-directed style, with filming that emphasises realism in the training and match scenes. "The actors selected must also be able to play badminton; otherwise, their movements will look stiff,' he said. Ballard hopes HPDM strategy will drive Malaysian Athletics forward
KUALA LUMPUR: Outgoing Malaysia Athletics (MA) technical director Robert Ballard hopes the development strategy implemented during his tenure will continue to serve as a foundation for the growth of athletics in the country. Ballard expressed appreciation for the opportunity to contribute to the sport's long-term planning and vision. 'I am sincerely grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the planning and development strategies for athletics in Malaysia during my two-year tenure. 'The HPDM 2024–2032 Strategy requires time, alignment and commitment from all supporting structures to fully implement its vision and objectives,' he said when contacted today. Ballard believes the High Performance Development Model (HPDM), which outlines a long-term roadmap for national athletics, can benefit not just athletes but also coaches, officials, administrators and the broader volunteer network. Ballard said that on his return to Australia, he would continue to monitor Malaysia's progress. Yesterday, MA confirmed in a statement that it will not be renewing the contract of Ballard, which is set to expire on July 31. MA said the services of Ballard, 60, would not be extended due to a lack of government funding and private sponsorship for the national athletics body. Ballard was first appointed technical director in February 2014 on a two-year contract but decided to part ways with the association early on Dec 8, 2015. He later returned to the position in August 2023 on a two-year contract. Meanwhile, former national sprinter Nazmizan Muhammad urged MA to consider appointing a local expert to be the technical director. He said this approach would not only save costs but also allow MA to better focus on preparing athletes for the SEA Games in Thailand this December. 'If funds are insufficient, why not utilise the internal expertise we already have? They might be more familiar with the inner workings and have networks with other state associations. 'By appointing local talent, MA can ease its financial burden and allocate more resources to coaches and athlete preparations,' he said. Garcia's big dream for JDT is to roar on the global stage
PETALING JAYA: Will Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) get to qualify for the FIFA Club World Cup? At least, that is the big vision that has been laid out for the Southern Tigers by their chief executive officer Luis Garcia, who is currently working as a pundit in the United States at the tournament. He is hopeful of the qualification for the Club World Cup to be expanded in four years' time. Speaking on the club's ambitions, Garcia stated the directive from Regent of Johor and owner of JDT Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, who has called for the club to 'maximise their full potential' and fly the flags of Johor and Malaysia even higher on the global stage. 'Asia's top level demands nothing short of excellence,' Garcia said. 'We cannot afford to take our foot off the gas if JDT are to succeed on this enormous mission. But we're fully committed not just for ourselves, but for Malaysian football as a whole.' Since 2019, JDT have been Malaysia's sole representative in the AFC Champions League (ACL) Elite. This has directly helped raise Malaysia's profile in Asian club football, paving the way for greater participation of other domestic clubs in continental competitions. But Garcia believes the time has come to take things further. 'With the potential expansion of the FIFA Club World Cup to include more Asian teams, JDT must aim to regularly reach the latter stages of the ACL Elite. That's the level required, and we want to be ready, not just to qualify, but to compete.'
