SHE RUNS 2025: UAE's largest women's running event returns to empower, unite & inspire a new generation

The UAE's most iconic women's fitness event is making a bold comeback under a powerful new identity: SHE RUNS.
Reimagined to reflect the spirit of a new generation, the event will take place on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Expo City Dubai, celebrating inclusion, strength, and the collective power of women.
Formerly known as the Women's Run, this 12th edition marks more than a name change, it signals a transformative movement toward wellbeing, leadership, and community connection.
Participants of all ages and fitness levels, whether running, jogging, or walking, can join across multiple race categories: 1km, 3km, 5km, and 10km. Dedicated tracks for young girls, Emirati women, and People of Determination reflect the event's commitment to diversity and intergenerational participation.
'In embracing inclusivity, SHE RUNS does not just count miles, it counts moments. Each step is a testament to the power of community driving change,' said Dr. Harmeek Singh, Founder and CEO of Plan b Group, the event's organizing partner.
This year's edition runs under the unifying banner: 'For Voices. For Connection. For Change.' echoing its alignment with the UAE's Year of the Community.
Backed by the Dubai Sports Council and integrated into the Dubai Fitness Challenge 30×30, SHE RUNS is also a strategic partner of the Dubai Active Show, further anchoring its role as a national movement in health and wellness.
'SHE RUNS reflects the very essence of what the Dubai Fitness Challenge is about empowering individuals through movement and bringing communities together in the spirit of wellbeing,' said a spokesperson from the Dubai Sports Council.
Returning for 2025 is the high-energy SHE RUNS Power Hour, a pre-race activation featuring motivational talks, dynamic group warm-ups, and outreach programs for schools, universities, and corporate teams.

Job interviews were conducted on-site with qualified Emirati candidates, led by officials from the participating showcased their available job opportunities on the Nafis platform during the open career days, which were held in collaboration with local Human Resources Departments and Neighbourhood Councils across various emirates of the UAE, in addition to the Higher Colleges of Technology, Zayed University, University of Dubai, and Fatima College of Health Abdulla Al Ali, Assistant Undersecretary of National Talents at MoHRE, reaffirmed the ministry's commitment to continue organising open career days, which enjoy a reputation for being highly credible and reliable among UAE citizens, employers, and companies. "This confidence stems from the fact that these events are held under direct supervision from MoHRE, which examines the nature of the job opportunities offered and the salaries, in addition to following up on employment processes after interviews to ensure participating companies are serious with their intent to hire Emiratis. Dubai mall The Organised in alignment with the Year of Community campaign, the Dubai Social Agenda 33, and Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 33, the Dubai Mallathon aims to foster healthier living by providing safe, climate-controlled environments for residents and visitors to stay active throughout the summer. The initiative will be held across nine leading malls: Dubai Mall, Dubai Hills Mall, Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira, City Centre Mirdif, Dubai Marina Mall, The Springs Souk, Dubai Festival City, and Festival Plaza. Collectively, these venues will offer over 10 kilometres of dedicated indoor tracks, open daily from 7 to 10 am during the month of August. Daily activities and weekend events across all locations are designed to engage the public in fun, inclusive ways, featuring sports challenges and competitions for all age groups. More than 40 iPhones, 10 tablets, shopping vouchers, and other prizes will be awarded in a festive atmosphere that encourages active community participation. The Ministry of Defence, a key supporter of the initiative, stated: 'We adopt a holistic approach to building a cohesive, resilient society, recognising physical activity as vital to individual and collective wellbeing. Our participation in this initiative reflects our leadership's vision to embed sport as a cornerstone of daily life and community identity.' Commenting on the initiative, His Excellency Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council, said: 'This initiative reflects the vision of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed to promote the health and wellness of our community. 'The Mallathon brings dedicated tracks to some of Dubai's most iconic malls, encouraging participants to embrace a fit lifestyle in a fun, accessible setting. From valuable prizes to dedicated activities for senior citizens, this initiative reflects our leadership's commitment to ensuring that every member of society enjoys a high quality of life and stays actively engaged,' he added. The Dubai Mallathon is being delivered in collaboration with Dubai Sports Council and supported by both public and private partners. Wellness support will be provided by Mai Dubai, the UAE Sports For All Federation, Al Tadawi Speciality Hospital, and the Dubai Cooperative Society, while Uber and Careem are offering exclusive transport discounts during event hours. Additional services include free health check-ups, nutritional consultations, and access to healthy food options from select outlets, further reinforcing the Mallathon's focus on wellness. During the visit, Sheikh Hamdan toured several pavilions and issued directives sanctioning a grant of Dhs1 million for exhibition participants in recognition of their efforts to preserve and promote the UAE's rich cultural heritage. Sheikh Hamdan was accompanied during the tour by Abdullah Hamdan Bin Dalmook, CEO of the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center, and departmental directors from the Center.
