Meryl Streep takes a tumble in towering red heels while filming Devil Wears Prada 2 (even after she tested them out hours earlier!)

It's exactly the kind of thing that all-controlling fashion boss Miranda Priestly would never have allowed to happen.
But Meryl Streep – who is returning to play the iconic role in Devil Wears Prada 2 – was able to see the funny side after taking a tumble on the stairs in a billowing scarlet gown and towering heels.
The blunder befell the triple Oscar-winner, 76, during filming at New York's Museum of Natural History for the sequel of the 2006 film, set in the cut-throat world of the glamorous Runway magazine.
Meryl commanded attention in the glamorous dramatic red dress as she joined co-star Stanley Tucci, who is returning as fashion authority Nigel.
The pair waved to the crowd of photographers lining the red carpet as they made their way up the stairs, recreating Runway's version of the Met Gala.
However minutes later, the Mamma Mia! star tripped and fell to the ground but luckily saw the funny side laughing off the blunder with Stanley before he kindly gave her a helping hand up.
Earlier in the day, Meryl had carried out a practice run on the stairs wearing a pair of wedged sandals before attempting the Met Gala-inspired scene in full costume, complete with red stacked heels.
The actress, despite not being in character at the time, looked every bit the fashion icon in a beige trench layered over a black-and-white checked blouse.
Like many celebrities before her, she is not the first star to take a tumble as Gigi Hadid tripped on the Met Gala stairs in 2021, and US singer Janelle Monae took a tumble in 2024.
The sequel to the film based on the novel of the same name by Lauren Weisberger, who worked at Vogue under Anna Wintour, will see Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt reprise their roles – but in a rapidly- changing media landscape.
Elsewhere during the scene, Bridgerton's Simone Ashley, who is joining the cast, looked sensational in a show-stopping black mesh glittering number.
David Frankel - who directed the first 2006 movie - is returning as director on the sequel as well.
Aside from Anne, Emily, Stanley and Meryl, other stars joining the original cast in the second movie include Simone Lucy Liu, Pauline Chalamet, Kenneth Branagh, Tracie Thomas, B.J. Novak and Justin Theroux are other cast members in the project.
The premise: 'Follows Miranda Priestly's struggle against Emily Charlton, her former assistant turned rival executive, as they compete for advertising revenue amidst declining print media while Miranda nears retirement,' per IMDB.

By the time the sequel hits theaters next year in May 2026, it would be 20 years after the first movie was released.
The Devil Wears Prada was a critical success and raked in $326.7 million in the box office on a budget of around $35-$41 million.
It also garnered two Oscar nominations, such as Best Actress for Meryl Streep. Other nods included five BAFTAs and three Golden Globes - with Streep winning for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy.
During an interview with WWD, Anne - who is also set to star in The Princess Diaries 3 - opened up about reprising previous roles.
'I was so beautifully cared for on both of those films,' she recalled, while adding that she had been young when making both The Devil Wears Prada and The Princess Diaries.
'I was so guided and looked after and cared for by the communities that made both of those films in particular, each of their directors, Garry Marshall and David Frankel.'

Scheana Shay names best Hollywood hookups as she hints at tryst with an A-lister

Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Shay has laid bare many of her Hollywood hookups but played coy as she hinted at a tryst with a legitimate A-lister. The 40-year-old reality star - who recently revealed her husband cheated on her while pregnant - revealed her 'best' celebrity lover and discussed her other romantic rendezvous with people of stature. Scheana appeared on podcast Not Skinny But Not Fat released on Tuesday where she discussed her bombshell list of Hollywood hookups from her memoir My Good Side which hit bookstores last month. At the time she released an impressive list of names including John Mayer, Jesse Metcalfe, Jesse McCartney, JC Chasez, Shane West, Adrian Grenier, William Tell, Ricardo Chavira, Josh Hopkins, and of course Eddie Cibrian in addition to unnamed NFL, NBA, and MLB players. However, she did not identify some A-listers who she 'left out' of the hookup list including 'two actors from The Notebook.' As Ryan Gosling was the lead actor in the classic 2004 romance film, podcast host Amanda Hirsch pointed out the 44-year-old Oscar nominee had starred in the film and Scheana coyly answered that she was 'not confirming or denying.' Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Shay (pictured in New York last month) has laid bare many of her Hollywood hookups but played coy as she hinted at a tryst with a legitimate A-lister Other The Notebook castmembers included James Marsden, Kevin Connolly, Sam Shepard, David Thornton, Ed Grady, and Obba Babatunde. Scheana went on to joke: 'Maybe there's another book one day.' Ryan has been in a relationship with fellow actress Eva Mendes since they worked together on the film Place Beyond The Pines in 2011 as they share two children together. He had previously dated A-listers Blake Lively, Sandra Bullock, and Rachel McAdams. Podcast host Amanda also asked Scheana: 'Who was, like, the best hookup?' The Good As Gold hitmaker replied: 'Shemar [Moore].' The multihyphenate also admitted that when enjoying romantic liaisons with stars wasn't 'working out' she started dating guys 'under the radar.' She admitted: 'It [was] time to switch things up. … I didn't want any of the fanfare or complications that came with being linked to someone famous. I wanted to be with someone who was grounded.' As Ryan Gosling (pictured April 2024) was the lead actor in the classic 2004 romance film, podcast host Amanda Hirsch pointed out the 44-year-old Oscar nominee had starred in the film and Scheana coyly answered that she was 'not confirming or denying' This came weeks after Scheana had revealed her husband Brock Davies cheated on her while pregnant with their daughter, Summer, who they welcomed in April 2021. In an excerpt from her aforementioned book, My Good Side, the Vanderpump Rules star recalled the moment she learned her partner was unfaithful. 'I remained in a state of paralyzed shock as he confessed that he'd cheated on me two years prior, when we were living in San Diego during the pandemic, while I was pregnant with Summer,' she wrote. While speaking about her state of mind, at the time, the TV personality explained: 'I had spent so much time fighting off my anxiety and convincing myself that just because Tom [Sandoval] cheated on Ariana [Madix] didn't mean Brock would ever cheat on me. Now, I was finding out just how wrong I was.' 'As I sat there, feeling completely sick to my stomach, he admitted that — at the time — he was scared about being a father again, specifically about whether he even deserved to be, and he chose to deal with it by sleeping with someone else,' she recalled. 'I use the word 'chose' because it was very much a conscious decision. No one twisted his arm or dragged him into bed.' Davies's admission came after her costars Tom Sandoval and Rachel 'Raquel' Leviss' affair was exposed to the world. Shay admitted after his confession she was 'unable to contain my rage' about his 'brief affair' with a woman at his gym in 2021. 'I slapped him and threw a Rubik's cube in his direction, which he dodged,' she wrote. 'To this day, every time I see a Rubik's cube it triggers me, pulling me right back to this incredibly dark moment in my life. Same goes for any mention of an F45 gym,' she wrote. Shay revealed that same night Davies gave her a letter he had written a year after the affair ended. 'He wrote the letter, which included more specifics than I ever wanted, such as how many times they'd slept together, where they'd done it, and where they hadn't (our house),' she added. 'He also pointed out that it was purely physical, never emotional, and he always used protection.' Shay noted she doesn't believe Davies was 'sober when he put pen to paper, so the spelling errors were rampant.' 'I can't explain why, but that really irritated me. Maybe because it felt like another sign of his carelessness,' she said. 'The letter made me remember the weeks leading up to my second trimester when, like many pregnant women, I was sexually stimulated. I'll never forget how, during that time, Brock was 'afraid' to have sex with me (or he simply didn't want to).' At the time, Shay recalled how his brushing off her advances spiked her anxiety and 'killed' her confidence. 'His behavior now made so much more sense. Once I'd read it, that was more than enough. I told him to immediately toss it into the fire. I never wanted to set eyes on those words again,' she explained. Shay also admitted she was paranoid about the gossip that her husband and Leviss were having an affair. 'I knew in my heart that the gossip concerning Brock and Raquel was ridiculously fake... [but] there was the smallest section of my brain that kept thinking: If Tom and Raquel pulled the wool over everyone's eyes for seven months, could Brock and Raquel have done the same thing?' she wondered. Davies broke the news to her as she sat down in front of the TV to watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey. 'Brock said that with all of the fake news being published, he was afraid that something that actually was true might surface, and it was best that I heard it directly from him,' she said. Shay also detailed the lengths that Davies went to, in order to hide the affair. 'I was a little confused because I'd always had his location and could have checked it at any time. How had I not caught them? But he also had a second phone for work, which I did know about but didn't monitor. It turned out that was their sole form of communication. Nice, right?' she scoffed. Despite her agony over his confession, she refrained from screaming because he didn't want to wake their daughter. The couple, who share four-year-old Summer, began dating in 2019 and got engaged two years later. They tied the knot in 2022 in front of Vanderpump Rules cameras for all their fans. She was previously married to music producer Michael Shay from 2014 to 2017.

SEC Football: Any Given Saturday Review – Grit, glory, and chaos

Season 1 Episode Guide Opening Kickoff QB1 Shock the World Turning Point Football Family Bragging Rights Just Win When it comes to college football, no conference stirs up more passion, loyalty, and heated debate than the SEC. Short for the Southeastern Conference, this American football league isn't just a collection of teams — it's a way of life. Across twelve Saturdays, twelve teams battle for a shot at the playoffs, while fiercely loyal, die-hard fans rally their teams on from the side-lines. The pageantry, rivalries, and local pride that elevate these games beyond the field are all shown in their epic glory across these 7 episodes, and Netflix certainly don't hold back. From Alabama's dynastic dominance to the fever-pitch intensity of Auburn vs. LSU, SEC football is nothing short of a religion in parts of the American South. Netflix has been leaning hard into sports content lately, and SEC Football: Any Given Saturday is the latest docuseries to throw its football-shaped hat into the arena, aiming to spotlight what makes this league so compelling. Across the series, Any Given Saturday tracks several teams throughout the 2024 season, documenting their highs and lows while weaving in some of the year's standout moments. If you've seen any of Netflix's other football docs, the format will feel familiar. You get a mix of player interviews, head coach commentary, family insight, and locker room access, allowing you to really get a feel for the culture and who the big players are at each team. This is undoubtedly a tried-and-tested structure, but one that works well here. The show also does a commendable job showcasing the history and stakes of each team, with unique rituals and local traditions set alongside the distinct mindsets and preparation styles each squad brings into game day. On the field, the action is just as captivating. Carefully edited footage and well-timed commentary bring iconic moments from the season back to life. 2024 had a treasure trove of unique moments, including a wild finish between Auburn and Texas A&M. We also get a shocker between Alabama and Vanderbilt, along with a deliciously chaotic final Saturday where some teams fight to salvage their season and others eye the playoffs. For the most part, the pacing is tight, and college football fans will be in their element here, especially reliving all the highs and lows each team faces. Motivational speeches and team talks help to add an extra emotional punch, and these are edited nicely to maximize the rising stakes in just the right way. Any Given Saturday isn't trying to reinvent the sports docuseries genre, and it may not dominate the field on Netflix — but it doesn't need to. This is a compelling, well-produced look at one of the most passionate leagues in American sports. It captures the intensity, heartbreak, and hope that fuels SEC football. And for fans, that'll be more than enough.

Hunter Biden dives into Jeffrey Epstein conspiracy and makes gutsy prediction about Trump's ability to survive scandal

Fresh off his viral hit interview with leftist podcaster Andrew Callaghan, Hunter Biden appeared on the show again to demonstrate his painting skills and discuss conspiracies surrounding Jeffrey Epstein. The eldest son of President Joe Biden spoke about the Epstein files as he painted in his art studio, even as his personal sales have plunged since his father left the presidency after a single term. 'The simplistic explanation is always true,' he said, referring to the Epstein case and whether or not Donald Trump was in the files. He noted that Trump and Epstein were 'very close friends for a very, very long period of time' so it would make sense that the president's name was in the files. Trump has maintained that he threw Epstein out of his Mar-a-lago club because he was hiring some of the young women employees from his club, though the Justice Department informed Trump his name appeared in the files as part of its, according to reports. Inclusion of one's name in the deceased socialite's files not suggest criminal conduct. During the podcast interview, Hunter Biden struggled to discuss the case, as he appeared convinced that feeding conspiracy theories was damaging to the country. 'The thing I'm loath to do is to feed into another go**amn conspiracy theory, it's just so destructive to the entire culture, the fabric,' he ranted. But he then did exactly that, pouring fuel on the fire in declaring that it was very unlikely that Epstein killed himself in prison. 'He was murdered right before it was all about to blow up,' he said. 'Clearly, who believes that he killed himself?' he added. 'Nobody.' He refused to speculate on who may have killed the billionaire convicted sex offender, but said it was entirely possible to murder someone in prison. 'You know what kills me about this more than anything is agreeing with Tucker Carlson,' he added. 'It kills me! I don't want to feed into this.' He marveled that Trump's appointees in the FBI, Kash Patel and Dan Bongino, fed conspiracies about Epstein for years but failed to deliver to the president's political base. He speculated that Trump's failure to release the files would hurt the president politically, but also said that he could survive the controversy. 'Who knows? They may drop this,' Biden said about Trump's supporters. 'He may have that firm of a hold, if this is truly a cult and I believe that it is. I think he'll make it through.' Biden also argued that Trump and his supporters focused intently on the Epstein story because it was part of a strategy regularly employed by the Nazis and Russian President Vladimir Putin to label their political opponents as pedophiles. 'It's literally straight out of Putin's book, which by the way is not even Putin's book, that was used by the Nazis, elimination rhetoric came from there,' he said. He stressed that neither he nor his father was ever invited to Epstein's island. 'Me and Joe Biden, never been to Epstein island,' he said.
