(Reuters) -Celtic have signed Scotland left back Kieran Tierney from Arsenal on a five-year contract, the Scottish Premiership champions said on Tuesday.
The 28-year-old, who made his senior debut at Celtic in 2015, will be back at the club after six years. He made 170 appearances for the Scottish club, scoring eight goals before joining Arsenal in 2019.
"Everybody's known for a few months and just to be here with the Celtic strip on again just feels amazing," Tierney said.
"... When you move away from home, you grow up, you learn different things. I was in Spain (with Real Sociedad on loan) for a year, learning a different language and playing in a different league, so I'm definitely a different person.
"My ambition is just for Celtic to be as successful as possible, retain our place at the top and continue to win trophies and do well for Celtic."

LONDON, June 29 — Former Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp has expressed concern about the Club World Cup, suggesting it is the 'worst idea ever implemented in football'. The new-look 32-team tournament started earlier this month, with the final taking place at the MetLife Stadium in New York on July 13, reported PA Media/dpa news. The Premier League resumes a month later, with Liverpool kicking off their title defence in the opening game of the season against Bournemouth on August 15. Klopp has previously spoken about issues such as fixture congestion and in an interview with German newspaper Welt am Sonntag, he suggested the Club World Cup will not provide any 'real recovery' for those players involved. 'It's all about the game and not the surrounding events – and that's why the Club World Cup is the worst idea ever implemented in football in this regard,' Klopp said. 'People who have never had or do not have anything to do with day-to-day business any more are coming up with something. 'There is insane money for participating, but it's also not for every club. 'Last year it was the Copa (America) and the European Championship, this year it's the Club World Cup, and next year the World Cup. That means no real recovery for the players involved, neither physically nor mentally.' After leaving his role as Reds boss last summer, Klopp became Red Bull's head of global soccer at the start of 2025. He added: 'I have serious fears that players will suffer injuries they've never had before next season. If not next season, then it will happen at the World Cup or afterwards. 'We constantly expect the players to go into every game as if it were their last. We tell them that 70 or 75 times a year. But it can't go on like this. Former English football star Michael Owen scores twice in Manchester United Legends win against Vietnam
HANOI (VNEXpress-Vetam News): Michael Owen, the 2001 Ballon d'Or winner, scored twice as Manchester United Reds (MU Legends) defeated Vietnam All Stars 4-2 in a friendly match in Da Nang on Friday night (June 27). The match took place at 7pm at Hoa Xuan Stadium and was the highlight of the Vietnam-U.K. Football Festival, which ran from June 26 to 29. The event featured football legends from Manchester United's golden generation, including Michael Owen, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Teddy Sheringham, Wes Brown, and Dwight Yorke. In the 7th minute, Owen opened the scoring with a brilliant chip shot over Vietnam goalkeeper Nguyen Van Sy, after receiving a precise pass from a teammate. Owen completed his double 20 minutes later, converting a penalty after being fouled in the box by Van Sy. Giggs, wearing the captain's armband, celebrated with Owen after his second goal. The Welsh football legend is known for his long and successful career at Man Utd with 13 Premier League titles.
