20 Reasons People Broke Up With Their Partners

Recently Reddit user u/kaissi1 asked "What did your partner do that made you leave them instantly?" After reading people's stories, I can totally see why they left. Here's what they had to say: "He got upset that he and his kids weren't in my will…I was a single mother, and we'd been dating for three months." "He fed my hamster to his friend's snake. Yep, I came home to find my one-year-old hamster gone. I freaked out, and then I found a video of it on his Facebook page." "I wanted to send myself a copy of a pic he had taken, so he gave me his phone to find it. Previous to this moment, I knew he had a foot fetish, and I found a few covert pics of my own feet. I didn't actually care that much until I found sneaky pics of MY MOTHER'S FEET. Relationship over." "They hooked up with my dad." "She was very drunk and found the car keys I hid from her. I told her I wouldn't let her leave drunk and that I would sleep on the couch if needed (We lived together for over a year at this point). She got in the car, parked in our garage, and I stood right behind it, pleading with her not to drive. She threw it in reverse and would have run me over if I didn't jump up on the trunk and then roll out of the way. That was that. Don't need that in my life." "They almost cost me my job by showing up there and causing a scene because they were jealous of my boss. It was mortifying and the last straw." "It was 7 a.m. on NYE. We were in the airport to fly out and go party. He was still drunk from the night before, stomping behind me like a big baby, hollering at me, 'You know I hate morning flights! Why the hell would you book such an early flight?' And the kiss of death when he hissed, 'You're so stupid.' I stopped and turned to look at him. My inner voice asked, 'WTF are you doing with this mess of a dude?' I walked out of the airport and left him there." "I walked in on him going down on my male cousin! I'm a woman, I'm straight, and I thought he was too!" "He asked why it had taken me 21 minutes to go to the shop for milk when he's timed it at 16 minutes. He asked me 'Who were you talking to?' Yeah, screw off." "He screamed at the waitress because his steak was medium-well instead of medium. I walked straight out of that restaurant, blocked his number, and never looked back. Anyone who treats service workers like that isn't getting a second chance." "We refinanced our house to pay off credit card debt. Six months later, I got on the computer and saw she hadn't closed Windows, and saw she was back up to $20K in credit card debt. I packed my stuff the next day, gave her the option of keeping the house in her name or moving out. She chose to stay. One year later, she was forced to sell to pay off her debts." "I broke up with him immediately after he unilaterally cancelled the couple's therapy sessions I'd planned for us. This is the second time he did this after I'd made clear this was the single most important thing for me and after he'd agreed to the sessions." "When they 'forgot' to tell me their 'crazy' ex-boyfriend was actually their current husband. PEACE." "He voted for Trump. He hid it the entire eight months we were together. He knew I was a vocal feminist as he followed me online for years. He made a few misogynistic 'jokes' here and there to get a reaction out of me. He was constantly trying to debate with me. When I look back, I think he thought it would be an ego boost to belittle and 'conquer' a feminist." "He had the audacity to tell me he was jealous that someone got to have sex with me when I was skinnier." "She stole drugs from someone she definitely shouldn't have, and I had to smooth things over, which resulted in me almost getting shot. The second I got back to the house I told her to get her crap and get out and never looked back." "He wished death upon the 'old hags who live next door, ruining his life,' because someone had asked the building supervisor to go talk to him about the noise. He was having a house party with loud music blasting through open windows at 11:30 p.m. on a Tuesday." "An ex cheated on me while I was going through heart surgery. I dumped him instantly. A lesson I needed to learn and I learnt it well." "We went to a concert, I was meeting his friends for the first time. He got insanely drunk before it, but he had told me he'd been sober for two years. He called me his ex's name and then told me to screw I did. He begged for forgiveness, but I'm not risking my peace." And finally "I was already pretty done with the relationship due to soooo many other things, but when my grandma died, he told me I shouldn't be 'that sad' because she lived in another country and I didn't get to spend much time with her anyway."

Some of Costco's most popular products could soon disappear

There's nothing shoppers love more than a good deal that feels like a steal. On TikTok, in dressing rooms, and all over Reddit, one retailer keeps getting called all the right reasons. Its private-label styles are racking up views for being nearly identical to a cult-favorite brand. We're talking same fit, same stitching, same color. Some say the only thing missing is the logo. And people are obsessed. The $25 hoodie that looks like it should cost $118? Sold out. The $20 pants that had fans doing double takes? Viral. Related: Nike has bad news for its loyal customers There's a whole corner of the internet dedicated to spotting these "dupes," and the side-by-side try-ons don't lie. Personally, I've never been a fan of never last. But other people can't seem to get enough. Some believe they're made in the same factories. Others just like scoring the look for less. But while carts keep filling and views keep climbing, one brand isn't flattered. It's calling out copycat behavior. And it just lawyered up. In a 49-page complaint filed June 27, Lululemon accused Costco of blatantly ripping off some of its most recognizable the athleisure giant is not playing games. Lululemon claims that Costco's Kirkland brand, along with other private-label items it sells, are infringing on its most iconic designs. The lawsuit names six specific products, including Kirkland's 5-Pocket Performance Pant, Danskin Half-Zip Hoodies, and Spyder Women's Yoga Jackets. According to Lululemon, these items copy design elements from its ABC pants, SCUBA hoodies, and DEFINE jackets. We're talking fabric, seam shapes, and even color names like "Tidewater Teal." Lululemon argues this goes way beyond inspiration and crosses into deception. Related: Lululemon makes drastic cuts as part of strategy change The complaint claims some shoppers may believe the two brands are connected, or worse, think they're buying the real thing. Costco has faced copycat accusations before. But this time, the brand being copied isn't letting it slide. Lululemon wants damages. A full accounting of profits. And an immediate stop to sales. It even attached side-by-side product comparisons and design patents to make its case. At the center of this case is a bigger question: what happens when a low-price powerhouse goes after a cult-favorite brand? Costco isn't just about bulk paper towels and $1.50 hot dogs. Its Kirkland private label is a retail juggernaut. Private-label sales now make up more than a third of Costco's total revenue. And apparel is playing a growing role in that success. Meanwhile, Lululemon is famously protective of its designs - and it has reason to be. Pieces like the ABC pant and SCUBA hoodie don't just sell. They sell out. And they almost never go on sale. Lululemon claims Costco is riding the wave of its reputation. That it's creating confusion among shoppers and cashing in on the brand's popularity. With "dupe culture" dominating social media and counterfeits popping up everywhere, the company clearly sees this as a turning point. If Lululemon wins, it could reshape the rules for private-label copycats. If it doesn't, retailers may just take dupe culture to the next level. Video shows Chicago Fire security 'hog tied' fan during match

A Chicago Fire supporter was hog-tied and carried out of his Soldier Field seat on Wednesday during a game against the Philadelphia Union. Video of the incident shows members of local security firm Monterrey Security carrying the fan, Dominic Osmund, from his section after guards were responding to supporters in the area waving Palestinian flags. Osmund told CBS Chicago he was not waving a flag, not that it would make the actions of these guards any less egregious if he were. Another security guard was also seen lunging at, and restraining, a separate fan filming the incident. WARNING: NSFW Language Here's what Osmund says happened, per CBS: "I would imagine it's a matter of kind of the wrong place at the wrong time," [Osmund] said. "They needed somebody. They were worked up. I was there." Osmund said the incident involved fans in front of him who were holding up Palestinian flags. He said security told them to put the flags down, and they complied. He said he had been sitting with his parents watching the game, and at halftime, he went down to join the group with the Palestinian flags and support them and the Palestinian cause. He said he was not there to protest and did not have a flag at any point. "At the end of the 65th minute, towards the end of the game, they came down — and even though nobody was flying them, they started grabbing the flags, and you know, confiscating all of them," Osmund said. "...I said: 'Hey, why are you doing this? We weren't having a problem before. Nobody was doing anything. What was going on? Why are you doing this?' And that was when I was grabbed by one of the security guys kind of coming from behind me. He grabbed me, started immediately trying to handcuff me, and then there were hands on me from all directions, like two or three guys trying to grab me." Osmund said he was never given any verbal warning before security grabbed him. He was was arrested and charged with one count of misdemeanor battery. Block Club Chicago spoke with a season ticket-holder who confirmed Osmund's version of events: Martin Tomszak witnessed Osmund's ejection while with a group of friends he brought to the game. He said one of his friends was assaulted and detained for filming the incident, suffering bruises to his wrists. Tomszak said that at no point did security give a verbal warning about filming. 'Dom is essentially grabbed by four or five Monterey security members, and he's tackled to the point where he is clearly unable to breathe right, and then hog tied and has his head rammed against concrete steps,' Tomszak said. 'When he was in lockup, he didn't know where he was. They let me check up on him, and he was clearly either in shock or concussed. These are detainment protocols that not even CPD uses. Why is a private security firm escalating in this manner?' Tomszak, a season ticket holder, said he's heard from other fans who will skip Saturday's match after seeing the disturbing encounter. On Reddit, supporters who witnessed the event describe a chaotic scene and, frankly depressing aftermath. The Chicago Fire announced they were meeting with Osmund on Friday as they continued to investigate the matter, but a bureaucratic maze will likely slow down any attempt to actually start holding people accountable. The Fire play at Soldier Field, which is owned by the Chicago Park District. That's three entities all involved here. Block Club received a statement from Fire spokesperson Jessica Braverman, who said the organization would meet 'with Soldier Field leadership, who oversees and holds the contract with the stadium security provider". The Park District released a statement that said it asked Soldier Field management company ASM Global to investigate. In the meantime, this is just the latest accusation of extremely aggressive behavior by Monterrey Security, but the politically connected firm endures.
