Metz -- who were relegated last season after losing the play-off to Saint-Etienne -- reached the final with victory over Dunkerque last week, having blown their automatic promotion hopes with a late collapse to finish third in Ligue 2 behind Paris FC and Lorient.

After only a handful of appearances for the first team he moved to Annecy on loan for the 2022/2023 campaign. The striker had a strong season in Ligue 2, scoring 15 goals in 36 games. He also managed five goals in six Coupe de France games. Last season he returned to Strasbourg but was unable to translate his second tier form to the first tier. Augsburg set to sign Burnley midfielder
FC Augsburg are bolstering their midfield with the signing of Han-Noah Massengo, according to Bild and transfer expert Sacha Tavolieri. PSG centre-back Lucas Beraldo (21) has handed in a transfer request to the Ligue 1 side's executives during the Club World Cup tournament, according to a report from L'Equipe.
