With the new "Superman" movie set to release in just a few days, many Los Angeles Dodgers are anticipating watching it. However, what if there was a situation where Shohei Ohtani was actually Superman?

In a new release on YouTube, Ohtani was portrayed as Superman in a new parody video. For baseball fans, the video is an absolutely epic watch.

Moving back to the baseball diamond, Ohtani and the Dodgers have lived up to the hype so far this season. After winning the World Series last year, Los Angeles has major goals of winning back-to-back championships.
At this point in the season, the Dodgers hold a 56-35 record. They hold first place in the National League West division with a seven-game lead over the second-place San Diego Padres. In addition, they are the best team in the National League by 1.5 games over the Chicago Cubs.
Ohtani has continued playing at an elite level. He has appeared in 89 games this season, hitting 30 home runs to go along with 56 RBI and batting .278/.380/.610.
Ohtani has also made his return to the mound following a full recovery from his elbow injury.
On the mound, Ohtani has started in four games. He has yet to record a win or loss, compiling a 1.50 ERA, a 0.83 WHIP, a 6.0 K/BB ratio, and six innings completed.
Clearly, the numbers that Ohtani has been putting up place him once again in the running for the NL MVP award. He has more work to do to win the award, but he's on a good pace as the trade deadline comes closer.

Dave Roberts spoke out recently about Ohtani's pitching and when he could return as a full-time starter. The answer is unclear right now.
"People always ask when is he going to get to be a regular starter to the five innings. I don't know that answer," Roberts said.
Despite the lack of clarity about Ohtani's pitching future, his brand continues to grow. Now, the Superman identity will stick with him as he looks to lead Los Angeles to another World Series run.
