Love Island's Tommy Bradley and Lucy Quinn were brutally dumped from the villa during Tuesday night's episode.
Shakira Khan and Ty Isherwood were voted the most compatible couple in the villa in Monday's episode, leaving them least at risk to be dumped.
As the most compatible couple, Shakira and Ty were forced to choose a couple to be dumped.
Those at risk of being dumped included Tommy and Lucy, Lauren Wood and Harrison, Conor Phillips and Emma Munro.
Fans were left raging after Shakira picked Tommy and Lucy - who the rest of the villa felt were the most compatible.
Shakira picked Tommy and Lucy to go home because she wanted to save Conor and Harrison, despite it being a vote on compatibility not favourites.
Conor and Shakira have started to get to know each other in recent days after weeks of just having a friendship.
Fans shared their anger on X following the shock dumping, gutted their favourite Tommy was going home.
Some comments read: 'voting off tommy and lucy actually makes no sense like if they're a strong couple then they should be in the villa to go to the final? is that not the whole point of love island??',
'SO selfish!! it was supposed to be based on compatibility not personal connections',

Fans of the ITV dating show have watched as Emily Moran was left devastated when Tommy recoupled with bombshell Lucy during Casa Amor.
Then, after Conor recoupled, she was left single and dumped from the TV villa.

However, a 'leaked' voice note allegedly exposes Lucy's game plan she concocted before going on the show.
Apparently speaking to her friend, she can be heard saying: 'I feel like if I'm with Tommy I'll get all the way to the end cause everyone loves him.'
She also disclosed how ITV bosses asked her for her top three boys and took aim at Megan, who was axed from the show.
Meanwhile, last night's episode was rocked by a shock dumping as two islanders were left packing.
Andrada Pop and Ben Holbrough were dumped from the villa after being voted the least compatible couple by the public.
Reading out the message from producers, Shakira said: 'Islanders, the public have been voting for the most compatible couple.'
Meg then announced: 'The couple with the fewest votes and therefore have been dumped from the Island is... Andrada and Ben'
