Prime Day is only five days away and the Galaxy S25 Edge already enjoys a $220 Galaxy S25 Edge discount. You can get Samsung's ultra-slim flagship smartphone in its 512GB version for 18% less. This promo is only valid for certain colorways.
Prime Day is just around the bend, and some of you may be tempted wait. It's impossible to predict whether or not the Galaxy Ai handset's price will fall further next week. If you're not in the mood to wait, this $220 off is a great Galaxy S25 Edge savings option.
The Samsung Galaxy S25, despite not having the largest battery or longest battery life is still attractive.
It is incredibly bright and eliminates any problems with outdoor visibility. Our tests revealed that it is a little brighter and more accurate in color than the Galaxy S25+. Learn more about the display in our Galaxy S25 Edge Review.
If you were wondering, the Android smartphone also has a very capable camera. It includes 512GB of storage, the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, 12GB of RAM, and a 200MP wide sensor akin to Samsung's costlier S25 Ultra model.
The entry Samsung smartphone doubles the storage and comes with a significant markdown at the big-box store.
That's not it! In its thin 5.8mm body, the S25 Edge houses the Snapdragon 8 Elite. The flagship SoC delivers solid performance, but doesn't match the S25 ultra or Galaxy S25+ in terms of raw horsepower.
If you were planning to buy the Galaxy S25 Edge deal in the summer, but didn't want to wait for Prime Day, this is a good time to pick up the $1,220 version for under $1,000.

Vivo leads in volume, iPhone 16 in shipments as India's smartphone market recovers in Q2 2025: Counterpoint report

Apple's iPhone 16 emerged as the most-shipped smartphone in India during the April–June quarter of 2025, marking a significant shift in market dynamics typically dominated by mid-range Android models. According to Counterpoint Research's latest India Smartphone Tracker, the device's strong performance was driven by aggressive promotions, extended EMI plans, and improved offline execution, helping Apple record its highest-ever Q2 shipments in the country. India's smartphone market overall grew eight per cent year-on-year (YoY) in volume and 18 per cent in value during the second quarter, rebounding from a tepid Q1. The recovery was underpinned by a 33 per cent YoY surge in new product launches, summer discount campaigns, and increased consumer spending due to easing inflation and favourable monetary policy. The ultra-premium segment, comprising devices priced above ₹ 45,000, saw a 37 per cent YoY growth, the highest among all price tiers, signalling rising consumer interest in high-end smartphones. Apple and Samsung both capitalised on this trend by expanding affordability initiatives such as trade-in offers and no-cost EMIs, making premium models more accessible. vivo led the market in volume (excluding iQOO), growing 23 per cent YoY, driven largely by its Y and T series in the ₹ 10,000– ₹ 15,000 segment. Samsung followed in second place, supported by mid- and premium-range sales across its A and S series, alongside continued interest in previous-generation flagship models. OPPO (excluding OnePlus) secured third place, bolstered by demand for refreshed A5 and K series models. The brand's retail-focused strategy, improved dealer incentives, and portfolio revamp contributed to its offline traction. Nothing recorded the highest growth among brands, with shipments rising 146 per cent YoY, its sixth consecutive quarter as the fastest-growing brand, largely due to the CMF Phone 2 Pro and ongoing retail expansion. Motorola posted an 86 per cent YoY increase, fuelled by rising demand for its G and Edge series and deeper penetration in smaller towns. Meanwhile, Lava stood out in the sub- ₹ 10,000 segment with 156 per cent YoY growth, driven by stock Android devices and improved after-sales service. In terms of chipsets, MediaTek maintained its lead with a 47 per cent market share, while Qualcomm followed at 31 per cent, with its shipments growing 28 per cent YoY. OnePlus also expanded in the ultra-premium segment, reporting 75 per cent YoY growth on the back of its 13, 13R, and newly launched compact 13s devices. realme joined the ultra-premium race with the GT 7 Pro Dream Edition, aiming to appeal to younger consumers and boost its offline presence.

From Small Towns to the Global Stage: Samsung and Startup India Sign MoU to Empower India's Next Generation of Innovators

Samsung, India's largest consumer electronics brand, has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Startup India, a flagship initiative of the Government of India, to empower young innovators from remote corners of India and strengthen the country's startup ecosystem with Samsung Solve for Tomorrow. The MoU was signed in New Delhi and brings together Samsung's flagship nationwide innovation contest, Samsung Solve for Tomorrow, and Startup India's robust national ecosystem of incubation, mentorship, and policy support. The collaboration aims to identify and nurture high-potential talent, especially from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, by providing access to infrastructure, expert guidance, market linkages, and funding opportunities. "At Samsung, we believe innovation thrives when young minds are empowered with the right platforms and support systems. Our partnership with Startup India is a significant step in that direction. By bringing together Samsung Solve for Tomorrow's vision and Startup India's expansive ecosystem and network, we aim to nurture the next generation of the change makers from the remote corners of India to become the problem solvers of tomorrow. This collaboration is aligned with Skill India and Digital India initiatives and aims to strengthen the innovation ecosystem in the country,' said SP Chun, Corporate Vice President, Samsung Southwest Asia. "Innovation is the key to growth, unlocking new possibilities, driving progress, and enabling solutions that shape a better future. And, empowering young innovators is central to India's growth story. Through this collaboration between Startup India and Samsung Solve for Tomorrow, we are strengthening our commitment to building an inclusive, innovation-led ecosystem. This partnership will not only encourage youth from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities to ideate and innovate, but also aligns closely with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat. We are happy to see Samsung stepping forward to nurture the entrepreneurial spirit across the country," said Shri Sanjiv, Joint Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Government of India. Samsung Solve for Tomorrow is a flagship innovation and education initiative designed to foster problem-solving, creativity, and social impact among India's youth. Through this programme, young students are encouraged to identify real-world issues in their communities and work toward building scalable solutions using design thinking, technology and entrepreneurial skills. The initiative provides mentorship, workshops, prototype development support, and opportunities to pitch ideas to experts and investors. The new partnership will see Startup India leveraging its extensive network of incubators and accelerators, while Samsung drives on-ground engagement with students and young innovators through hands-on learning and innovation challenges. This integrated approach, designed to scale grassroots innovation, will place innovation at the core of India's education and entrepreneurship ecosystems. This model public-private partnership between Samsung India and Startup India reinforces the shared commitment to the Make in India, Digital India, and Skill India missions—putting young, local innovators at the centre of India's technology and manufacturing-led future. First launched in the US in 2010, Samsung Solve for Tomorrow is currently operational in 68 countries and has seen over 3 million young people participate worldwide. The 2025 edition offers an incubation programme for the Top 4 winning teams that will receive a grant of INR 1 crore. Additionally, the Top 20 teams will be awarded INR 20 lakh, while the Top 40 teams will receive INR 8 lakh. This year, participants were encouraged to design solutions across four key themes: AI for a Safer, Smarter, and Inclusive Bharat; Future of Health, Hygiene, and Well-being in India; Social change through Sports and Tech for Education and Better Futures; and Environmental Sustainability via Technology. The shortlists have gone hyperlocal, with the programme discovering young innovators from some of India's far-flung districts—including Samastipur in Bihar, Guntur in Andhra Pradesh, Baramulla in Jammu & Kashmir, and Cachar in Assam. The reach and resonance of the programme is evident not just in the geographies covered, but also in the ingenuity of the ideas submitted across all four themes.

‘Made In India' Galaxy Fold 7 Gain Significant Traction From Tier 4 Cities And Beyond: Samsung

New Delhi: Samsung India on Thursday said that its newly-launched, 'Made in India' Galaxy Z Fold 7, is surprisingly gaining significant traction from not only tier 3 markets, but also tier 4 and beyond, amid a resilient economy and rising aspirations across the country. 'The unprecedented demand has made us allocate stocks of the Galaxy Z Fold7 across the deeper pockets of Bharat. We are immensely encouraged by the new demand surfacing from tier 4 and beyond and will continue to serve these markets in the best possible manner,' said Raju Pullan, Senior Vice President and Head at Samsung India. Primarily, the design aesthetics of the new Galaxy Z Fold7 – in a sleek, lightweight form factor – have drawn significant interest. The new colours, flagship processing power, along with Galaxy AI have further sweetened the experience for consumers, he added. The company said it is witnessing unprecedented demand for the Galaxy Z Fold7, with the smartphone being 'out of stock' in select markets across the country. The company is taking necessary steps at its manufacturing factory in Noida to meet the unprecedented demand. Samsung India had earlier announced that it has received a record 210,000 pre-orders for its seventh-generation foldables - Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE – in just 48 hours in India - signalling rapid mainstreaming of the foldable form factor in India. 'We are working overtime to ensure adequate supplies of our most advanced smartphone, to enable customers to enjoy the Galaxy Z Fold7 at the earliest. The strong demand is coming from both retail markets and online platforms,' said Pullan. Galaxy Z Fold7, in its thinnest and lightest design to date, weighs just 215 grams - even lighter than Galaxy S25 Ultra. It is just 8.9 mm thick when folded and 4.2 mm thick when unfolded, according to the company.
