Hailee Steinfeld Teams Up with Miles Teller in Olympics Pic "Winter Games"

Yara Sameh After battling vampirism in the box office smash "Sinners", Hailee Steinfeld has found her follow-up project in Paramount's Olympics film "Winter Games", starring opposite Miles Teller. Paul Downs Colaizzo is directing the movie from a script he co-wrote alongside Pat Cunnane. Set in the high-stakes arena of the Winter Olympics, the movie follows a perpetually overlooked skier (Steinfeld) and a self-sabotaging hockey legend (Teller) who collide at their breaking points. Their unexpected connection threatens her chance for a medal and his shot at a comeback as they navigate romance and redemption in the Olympic Village. Tim and Trevor White are producing on behalf of Star Thrower alongside Teller. Steinfeld is coming off one of the year's biggest hits with the Warner Bros horror thriller "Sinners", where she stars opposite Michael B. Jordan. The pic blew past expectations with $365 million to date at the global box office — which includes an astounding $278 million domestic — making it the top-grossing original movie of the past 15 years and the fifth-highest-grossing horror movie of all time. Following an almost two-year break, Steinfeld made her much anticipated return to music on the Sinners soundtrack with 'Dangerous.' The song amassed over 4.7 million streams on Spotify in its first month. The movie also earned rave reviews, putting it, Steinfeld and her co-stars in the mix for consideration this awards season. Following the film's success, Steinfeld saw a slew of offers come in but, after taking her time, she ultimately landed on "Winter Games" as her follow-up pic. In 2023, Steinfeld reprised her voice role as Spider-Gwen in "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse". The second film in the popular trilogy grossed over $690 million globally and received rave reviews. The first film, "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature in 2019. Spider-Gwen will make her return in "Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse" on June 4, 2027. In 2021, Steinfeld made her Marvel debut as Kate Bishop in Disney+'s "Hawkeye", starring alongside Jeremy Renner. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language

Forgotten "Conan the Barbarian" Spin-Off movie "Red Sonja" Gets Release Date and Trailer

Yara Sameh The release date and official trailer for long-gestating Red Sonja reboot have been finally unveiled. Written by Tasha Huo and directed by M.J. Bassett the fantasy is based on the best-selling comic book series and follows barbarian huntress Red Sonja, who must unite a group of unlikely warriors to face off against the evil tyrant Emperor Draygan, and his deadly bride Dark Annisia. Red Sonja was created by Roy Thomas and Barry Windsor-Smith in Marvel Comics' Conan the Barbarian #23 in 1973; although the series adapted Robert E. Howard's Conan stories, Sonja is an original creation, inspired by Howard's character Red Sonya of Rogatino. The character, a fiery warrior whose prowess in battle matched even Conan's, proved popular enough to get her own spin-off comic. Marvel eventually lost the rights to the character, who is now published by Dynamite Comics. During the barbarian movie craze of the 1980s, she hit the big screen in 1985's Red Sonja, where she was portrayed by Danish model Brigitte Nielsen in her movie debut; it also starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Conan-like warrior Kalidor and Sandahl Bergman, who had starred alongside Schwarzenegger in Conan the Barbarian, as the villainous Queen Gedren. The reboot stars Matilda Lutz, Robert Sheehan, Wallis Day, Michael Bisping, Luca Pasqualino, Rhona Mitra, Martyn Ford, Ben Radcliffe, Eliza Matengu, Veronica Ferres, Phillip Winchester, and Trevor Eve. Different versions were in development for at least 20 years prior to this iteration as different writers, directors, and financiers grappled with the project. In the trailer, Lutz plays the flame-haired barbarian warrior as she seeks vengeance, battles monsters, and confronts death in a gladiatorial arena. M.J. Bassett (Rogue) directs the film, which had been stuck in development hell for decades. The footage follows Sonja (Lutz, Magpie) as she swears revenge on the raiders who killed her people, sending her on a quest that eventually lands her in the clutches of the villainous warlord Draygan The Magnificent (Robert Sheehan, The Umbrella Academy) and pitted against his deadly, eyebrow-less bride, Dark Annisia (Wallis Day, Batwoman). In a nod to the character's fantasy origins, she battles not only Draygan's warriors, but also a massive horned monster. And yes, she does find herself in her comics incarnation's infamous "chainmail bikini," which is lampshaded in the trailer's closing moments; Sonja is concerned that it provides her little protection, and the gladiatorial armorer who hands it to her agrees, but contends that "the crowd will love it." The reboot is produced by Avi Lerner, Mark Canton p.g.a, Courtney Solomon p.g.a., Luke Lieberman, Les Weldon, Christa Campbell, Lati Grobman, Joe Gatta, MJ Bassett, Jeffrey Greenstein, Jonathan Yunger, and Yariv Lerner. Executive producers include Trevor Short, Darina Pavlova, Boaz Davidson, Tanner Mobley, Nick Barrucci, Dorothy Canton, Scott Karol, and Heidi Jo Markel. Co-producers include Shannon Lieberman. "Red Sonja" will be released in theaters on August 15, 2025. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language

Marvel's "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" Runtime Revealed

Yara Sameh The runtime for Marvel's highly anticipated movie " The Fantastic Four: First Steps " has been revealed. While AMC Theatres previously listed the superhero adventure at a generous 130 minutes, the theater chain has just quietly shaved that down. It is now officially clocking in at 115 minutes, making it the shortest Marvel Studios release of 2025. For context, that's 1 hour and 55 minutes — a fairly standard runtime by most blockbuster standards, but surprisingly compact for an MCU film that's introducing a brand-new reality, a massive villain like Galactus, and Marvel's First Family all in one go. This isn't just a minor tweak. The original runtime of 130 minutes — just over two hours— had positioned "First Steps" among the longer entries of the Multiverse Saga. Now, with only a month to go until the film hits theaters on July 25, AMC's updating the listing brings it down by a full 15 minutes, which is enough time to cut an entire action sequence or at least a few of Reed Richards' monologues. Still, at 115 minutes, "First Steps" is now the shortest MCU film of the year, trailing "Captain America: Brave New World" (118 minutes), "Thunderbolts*" (127 minutes), "Deadpool & Wolverine" (128 minutes), and "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" (150 minutes). The only movie with less screentime in recent MCU history was "The Marvels", which breezed by at just 105 minutes. "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing. The cosmic conflict comes courtesy of Ralph Ineson as Galactus and Julia Garner as the Silver Surfer. It also stars Matthew Wood, Mark Gatiss, Sarah Niles, and some heavily guarded mystery roles played by John Malkovich, Paul Walter Hauser, and Natasha Lyonne. Directed by Matt Shakman ('WandaVision') and written by Peter Cameron, the film doesn't just change the runtime formula — it throws out the entire setting. Set in a retro-futuristic 1960s Manhattan, the film introduces a version of Earth separate from the so-called 'sacred timeline.' "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" marks the second MCU movie after "Deadpool & Wolverine" to exist outside the main universe. The multiverse is multiversing. The full synopsis reads: "Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' introduces Marvel's First Family—Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ben Grimm/The Thing as they face their most daunting challenge yet. Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). And if Galactus' plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren't bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal." "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" will open exclusively in theaters on July 25. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream News Shell Unveils Cost-Cutting, LNG Growth Plan Technology 50-Year Soviet Spacecraft 'Kosmos 482' Crashes into Indian Ocean
