It has a 95 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Fans of medical dramas continue to miss out on one of the most acclaimed shows of the year - at least in the UK. The Pitt debuted in America back in January 2025 but it still doesn't have a release date on this side of the pond. Noah Wyles, who was one of the stars of ER back in the 1990s and 2000s, has returned to familiar ground for this acclaimed Max show. Unlike other HBO shows it didn't immediately come to Sky Atlantic and Now TV. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad But why can't you watch it yet in the UK? Here's all you need to know: What is The Pitt about? Noah Wyle, Tracy Ifeachor in The Pitt | John Johnson/HBO The show, which brings together former ER collaborators Noah Wyles and R. Scott Gemmill, is a fresh twist on the medical drama. The synopsis for the first season on Rotten Tomatoes reads: 'A realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers in America as seen through the lens of the frontline heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.' Across its 15 episodes, the show charts one single 15 hour shift in the titular hospital. Each episode covers roughly one hour of said shift - similar to how 24 worked back in the day. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad It has a 95 per cent certified fresh rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes - and an equally high 85 per cent audience score on the popcornmeter. So it seems like a real must watch. Why can't you watch The Pitt in the UK? Despite its critical acclaim and popularity with viewers in the US - it has already been renewed for a second series - it can't currently be watched legally in the UK. The show premiered on the streaming service Max (set to revert back to the name HBO Max soon) in January and it is not one that we have on this side of the pond yet. Unlike other HBO and Max shows, The Pitt has not been picked up for coverage by Sky Atlantic/ Now TV - which is a tad unusual. We reached out to Sky to see if they would be broadcasting it, but they did not respond. One wrinkle is that HBO Max is finally set to launch in the UK in 2026. It is set to bring together Max's streaming library with Discovery+ and TNT Sports - with further details in due course. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Unlike other European countries, HBO Max had not previously launched on our side of the pond due to Warner Brothers Discovery's deal with Sky - which is why shows like Game of Thrones and The White Lotus are broadcast on Sky Atlantic. However a deal has been struck and will see the ad-supported version of Max bundled in for Sky customers at no extra cost at launch, paving the way for its release in early 2026. The Pitt could be being saved as a potential draw to get people to subscribe to HBO Max upon its launch in the UK - but that is speculation on my part.

ITV showing 'best ever' James Bond film starring Daniel Craig tonight
Daniel Craig stars as James Bond in the 2006 film Casino Royale which ITV will be showing tonight from 8pm Deciding on the next film or TV show to watch can often be a daunting and time-consuming task. In this digital age, countless hours are wasted scrolling through Netflix and Amazon Prime, given the overwhelming array of choices. Considering this, coupled with the escalating subscription costs, many opt to abandon these platforms and return to traditional terrestrial TV. Despite Netflix's reputation for showcasing major blockbusters, it's ITV that will be broadcasting one of the finest films of recent decades - and it's absolutely free to view. There's arguably no spy film series that surpasses James Bond in terms of action, charisma, and quintessential British humour. The franchise has become emblematic of British identity. Regardless of whether your preferred 007 is Sean Connery, Roger Moore or Pierce Brosnan, every fan was captivated by Daniel Craig's arrival as the films took on a more realistic, gritty, and darker tone compared to their light-hearted (and occasionally exaggerated) predecessors, reports the Express. Bond enthusiasts are in for another treat as his iconic debut, Casino Royale, widely regarded as one of the best Bond films ever made, will be available to watch on ITV tonight, free of charge. Scheduled to air from 8pm until 10.40pm, the film, based on Ian Fleming's inaugural Bond book, follows a newly-licensed 007 tasked with bankrupting a terrorist financier known as Le Chiffre during a high-stakes poker game at Casino Royale. The ensuing narrative is a thrilling, action-filled plot culminating in a spectacular finale set in Venice and the Italian lakes. The film was a resounding success, earning an impressive 94% on Rotten Tomatoes and ranking fourth in the franchise, the highest rating for a Bond film not featuring Sean Connery. One satisfied viewer left a five-star Google Review, echoing the critic's sentiments: "A James Bond masterpiece... Casino Royale could hold the title of being the greatest James Bond film ever made!". "Like the 'Vesper Martini' it invents, the film is a rich, flavourful, and perfectly measured concoction that brings together every single right ingredient into a work of greatness!". Another viewer hailed it as the best film they had ever seen, commenting: "I've seen plenty of films of different types and genres, so this certainly isn't an 'apples-to-apples' comparison but nonetheless, Casino Royale is one of, if not, the greatest film I've seen in my life. "Daniel Craig begins his Bond franchise with a bang and as an incredible lead, obviously, but still, what truly makes this movie the most outstanding is all the other actors in combination."

Tom Cruise's all time best movies ranked including 'breathtaking and moving' 80s classic
A full list of Tom Cruise's movies has been ranked from best to worst, according to their Rotten Tomatoes scores, with some surprise entries doing better than you might expect Tom Cruise, the quintessential '80s Hollywood heartthrob, has been dazzling audiences for decades, and now we've got the definitive list of his best and worst films. Rotten Tomatoes, the esteemed review aggregator, has crunched the numbers, using authentic critiques to sort through Cruise's extensive filmography. The rankings may throw up a few surprises, with some of Cruise's more obscure roles securing spots in the top 10, while others are expected entries thanks to widespread critical praise. Topping the charts as the actor's most celebrated work, according to viewer ratings, is the high-octane Mission: Impossible-Fallout. The 2018 blockbuster, which is the sixth instalment in the Mission: Impossible saga, has garnered an outstanding 98% rating, making it a clear fan favourite. One critic said: "Mission: Impossible - Fallout is hands down one of the best action movies I've seen in a while. The stunts are absolutely wild, and knowing Tom Cruise actually did them makes it even crazier." They added: "The pacing keeps you locked in from start to finish-there's never a dull moment. The story ties in nicely with the previous films but still stands strong on its own." Cruise's reputation for performing his own death-defying stunts has certainly paid off, influencing the high ranking of his stunt-laden features, with the recent hit Top Gun: Maverick soaring into second place in the 2022 charts. Unexpected entries have climbed the rankings out of 44 films, with the 2002 Steven Spielberg hit Minority Report making a notable appearance. It's closely tailed by Spielberg's 1988 classic Rain Man, which is just a whisker behind with an 88% rating, followed by The Color of Money in tenth place. Discussing Rain Man, the Mirror US reports that one film enthusiast remarked it is a "comedy that brings you to tears when the credits role". They added: "A breathtaking and moving film with such fantastic acting from both lead roles, with Tom Cruise showcasing that he can be more than a blockbuster protagonist who runs and jumps. It is a lost gem, and I hope it gains more attention as years go on." Languishing at the bottom of the pile, in 44th place with a mere 9% score, is the romantic comedy Cocktail. In this early Tom Cruise vehicle, he plays a New York bartender with grand ambitions that take him to Jamaica to open his own bar. The general view labels the film as rather "average," though some critics are more scathing. A review stated: "Yes, Tom Cruise has charisma. All that doesn't change the fact that this film isn't that good. Much like Cruise's character, Brian, this story drifts along without any real purpose." It continued: "And while the acting isn't terrible, the writing is watered down, and the characters are one-dimensional. It seems that the filmmakers didn't get the mix right when it comes to Cocktail." The Top 10 Rotten Tomatoes ranking Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018) Top Gun: Maverick (2022) Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One (2023) Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation (2015) Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011) Risky Business (1983) Edge of Tomorrow (2014) Minority Report (2002) Rain Man (1988) The Color of Money (1986)

Millie Bobby Brown shares huge Enola Holmes 3 'case closed' update
No official release date has yet been shared Millie Bobby Brown has shared a huge Enola Holmes 3 update as fans say "I'm crying". Enola Holmes is Sherlock Holmes' equally brilliant younger sister and first graced screens back in 2020. It has since become a hit with fans as they wait patiently for the third film, previously confirmed to be in production. Starring Stranger Things star Millie, 21, as the "teen sleuth", the show follows Enola who sets out on a journey to prove herself after being overshadowed by the legacy of her brothers. Enola Holmes 2 was released in 2022 where Enola takes on her first official case as detective. And with a near perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes with 91%, it remains popular for fans of mystery. Now, a huge update has been shared. Millie shared an exclusive behind the scenes insight into Enola Holmes 3 as she revealed a huge update with fans on her Instagram. Posting photos from the set, with cast and crew, she wrote: "case closed." Although no official release date has yet been announced, fans cannot wait. Netflix replied: "omgomgomg" as another fan commented: "EH3 era, here we goooo." A third said: "OH MY GOD WE ARE SO READY." As a fourth echoed: "We are ready for you, Enola!!!" Over on X, excitement is also building as one person wrote: "ENOLA HOLMES 3 WRAPPED. BEST DAY OF MY LIFE." Another added: "Guys enola holmes 3 is filmed I'm crying." It was previously announced that Enola Holmes 3 would return with star Millie Bobby Brown. Back in April, Netflix announced the new film was in production in the UK. According to Netflix's Tudum, it teased: "The latest installment in the adventures of the young detective sees her tackling another mystery, this time on the island nation of Malta. You'll have to wait and see what brings her there — but once she's arrived, Enola is flung into a nest of vipers. "As the private detective juggles a new case and the next stages of her relationship with Tewkesbury (Louis Partridge), the game is truly afoot." Enola Holmes 3 is directed by Philip Barantini, also known for his work on Adolescence. Millie Bobby Brown will return as Enola alongside Himesh Patel as Dr John Watson. Fans will also see Helen Bonham Carter (known for her roles in Harry Potter and The Crown) as Eudoria Holmes.

I'm a TV critic and these are 3 Netflix series you can binge in one night
Any Netflix user can easily spend more time browsing through possible options than actually watching something. The offering is changing on a near daily basis, it can be difficult to know what to dedicate most of your binging time to. As a television critic, it's part of the job to have an answer to that question. So what about options that make the most of your time? A series that will get you hooked and able to binge watch, in just a single evening? The picks below imagine you settling down between 3 and 4pm, you'll probably be ordering food in, unless you're talented enough to binge on a second screen while cooking. We'll aim to have you rolling credits on the final episode in time for bed, although that could be a little after midnight. This does rule out many hit shows with multiple seasons, you'll definitely need more than one sitting for that and so they can wait a little longer. Nevertheless, here are my top three recommendations. A second season of Supacell is on the way (Image: Netflix) Supacell Seasons: 1 Episodes: 6 Approx. total runtime: 5 1/4 hours Supacell is about a group of five ordinary people who unexpectedly develop superpowers. They have little in common except for one thing: they are all Black South Londoners. It is down to one man, Michael Lasaki, to bring them all together in order to save the woman he loves. While the storyline sets up a superhero story, there are touches of social commentary on real-world issues such as racial profiling, knife crime, and workplace inequality. Being a British made series, it comes in at a pacey six episodes. It boasts a perfect rating on Rotten Tomatoes with a 100% score and was even nominated for a BAFTA in the Best Drama category. While there is only one season to catch up on right now, a second is reported to be on the way. There is no better time to make sure you're ready for when that lands. One fan said: "Excellent first season. Fascinating take on the superhero genre. Well written and well acted. Can't help but be drawn into the characters. Can't wait for season 2!" Supacell is streaming on Netflix. American Vandal Fans should at least binge the first season of American Vandal (Image: Netflix) Seasons: 2 Episodes: 16 Approx. total runtime: Season One: 4 3/4 hours Season Two: 4 1/2 hours While there are two seasons of American Vandal, most episodes only stretch to around 30 minutes. The exception is both finales last about 40 minutes total. This makes a one session binge significantly easier. Like Supacell, it also boasts a perfect Rotten Tomatoes rating. However, if you believe fans who shared their opinion of the series on Reddit, then it is only really the first season you need to catch up on. American Vandal is for those who believe they have watched every true crime documentary available on Netflix. It smartly subverts the genre to comedic effect. Utilising a mockumentary style, the first season follows the aftermath of a costly high school prank that left 27 cars belonging to staff vandalized with phallic images. Senior class clown Dylan Maxwell is blamed for the incident and expelled. An aspiring filmmaker and fellow student Peter Maldonado, launches his own investigation into the incident, with help from his friend Sam Ecklund. They are determined to uncover whether Dylan was the one truly behind the crime. The second season follows Peter and Sam as they investigate a new crime. They are essentially hired by a different school to make a follow up film after their cafeteria's lemonade is contaminated by someone calling themselves The Turd Burglar. One fan claimed: "This is the only series on Netflix that I have binged in the true sense of the word. The writing is superb, combining mystery and hilarity. Don't miss it." American Vandal is streaming on Netflix. Living With Yourself Fans say the 2018 title is the epitome of binge worthy (Image: Netflix) Seasons: 1 Episodes: 8 Approx. total runtime: 3 1/2 hours Most fans agree that this is a binge worthy limited series. It stars comedy favourites Paul Rudd and Aisling Bea and its premise could be an idea for a Black Mirror episode. However this story goes on for a manageable eight instalments. Miles, played by Rudd is a man struggling in life. When he undergoes a novel spa treatment that promises to make him a better person, he finds he's been replaced by a new and improved version of himself. As he deals with the unintended consequences of his actions, Miles finds he must fight for his wife Kate (Bea), his career, and his very identity. A fan posted about the show saying: "So perfectly binge worthy, and the only real way to watch it! Classic Paul Rudd- multi-faceted, multi-talented. Can't imagine anyone else in this combination sci-fi dramedy & thoughtful statement on science & society. Very well cast. Absolutely PERFECT ending!!" Living With Yourself is streaming on Netflix.
