Madelyn Cline Addresses Comments About Her Weight

Buzz Feed6 hours ago
This post contains discussion of body image issues.
You know Madelyn Cline from the Netflix hit Outer Banks.
Obviously, it's impossible to keep track of every conversation that's going down online these days — which is why you might not be aware of the fact that people have apparently been talking about Madelyn's weight in various comments sections.
In a new interview with Allure, Madelyn addressed all the chatter and how it makes her feel — and, surprise surprise, she isn't exactly loving it.
'People love to pay attention to weight specifically,' she said. 'It's very bizarre to me. From season to season on Outer Banks, my appearance has changed with lots of factors: stress, breakups, healthy or unhealthy habits with food. It's normal life...Like, damn. Can I not be on my period? Can I not have a beer the night before?'
Madelyn also acknowledged that 'In the comment sections, we are not always family," which brings up a good point...be careful what you say about other people online, even if they're famous! You might think they're not reading it, but more often than not, they probably are.

Charlize Theron calls out Hollywood for not taking 'risk' on female hero action films

Actress Charlize Theron criticized the film industry for being reluctant to support female-led action films, in a new interview with The New York Times. Theron and fellow actress Uma Thurman spoke to the outlet about the challenges women face in the genre as they promote their new Netflix superhero sequel, "The Old Guard 2." Theron said that securing the lead roles in action films is more challenging for women because Hollywood viewed these films as more of a risk. "Yeah, it's harder," Theron said. "That's known. Action films with female leads don't get green-lit as much as the ones with male leads. I think the thing that always frustrates me is the fact that guys will get a free ride." The Oscar-winning actress suggested there was a double-standard in Hollywood, claiming male actors that star in films that flop at the box office are given a pass while women rarely receive the same leeway. "When women do this and the movie maybe doesn't hit fully, they don't necessarily get a chance again," she said. "With this, we were very aware that eyes were on us. It's not a risk that studios want to take, but they'll take it many times on the same guy who might have a string of action movies that did not do so well." Both she and Thurman have starred in successful female-led action films. Thurman famously played an assassin in "Kill Bill," while Theron has taken on iconic roles in films like "Mad Max: Fury Road" and the "Fast & Furious" franchise.

Joe Burrow Does Not Hide His Unusual Obsession on Netflix's 'Quarterback 2'

Joe Burrow Does Not Hide His Unusual Obsession on Netflix's 'Quarterback 2' originally appeared on Athlon Sports. In the second season of Netflix's "Quarterback" docuseries, the cameras follow Atlanta's Kirk Cousins, who appeared in the show's first season, as well as Detroit's Jared Goff and Cincinnati's Joe Burrow. Advertisement Burrow, who grew up in Ohio, was featured in a clip shared to Netflix Sports' X account to promote the release of the new season, which covers the trio of signal-callers during the 2024 NFL season. In October, Burrow was at a practice chatting with a Bengals' staff member and teammates about a recent museum visit. "Somehow, there's this one fossil that proved Darwin's theory of evolution," he said. "It's called the Archaeopteryx. There's like 12 of them in the world. We got to see one of those, and we got to see the little old lady that freaking works on it. Grinding." Burrow visited the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, Illinois, one of the largest museums. One permanent exhibition there is Sue, the Tyrannosaurus Rex, who measures 40.5 feet long and 13 feet tall at the hips. The fossil is estimated to be 67 million years old. Advertisement "We went to the natural history museum," Burrow continued. "They took us behind the scenes and showed us some really cool stuff. It's like a library of fossils that they don't show everybody else ... It was pretty sick. Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Greene/The Enquirer / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images "Why were fossils on my mind?" Burrow wondered aloud. I don't know, cause they're cool. When aren't fossils on your mind? They go back millions of years. That's sick." The docuseries "Quarterback 2" is now available to stream on Netflix.
