Subhanshi Raghuwanshi on her transformation Vasudha, says 'I hope the audience notices how much Divya has evolved'

Time of India26-05-2025
Vasudha has been keeping the audience at the edge of their seats with its layered characters and emotionally charged storyline over the past few months. Now, with the family shifting its focus towards Megha (Mandeep Kaur) as she emerges as Devansh's (Abhishek Sharma) prospective bride, Vasudha (Priya Thakur) is seen struggling with heartbreak.
Amidst this emotional sequence, the only silver lining has been Divya's (Subhanshi Raghuwanshi) and Avinash's (Ishankk Salluja) marriage. What's more interesting is the visually striking evolution and transformation of Divya.
After her marriage, her graceful transformation has captivated viewers. Known for her grounded simplicity and youthful charm, she was usually seen in pretty salwar suits before her wedding. Now, Divya embraces traditional sarees and an exquisite glow. Her wardrobe transformation symbolizes her growth—from a young woman navigating love and duty to a resilient individual gracefully embracing her role within the Chauhan household, all while staying true to who she is at her core!
Speaking about her transformation, Shubhanshi Raghuwanshi said, 'Being a part of Vasudha and working with the team has been a fulfilling experience to date.
However, Divya's transformation is something I was excited about. It's not about changing who she is—it's about honouring the new phase she has entered. Divya is navigating a new family, new expectations, and in many ways, redefining her place in it all. The new look and identity are close to my heart as I have worked closely with the costume team to personalise it.
We consciously kept the authenticity intact, and having a more personalised experience has helped me as an actor to get deeper into my character.
I hope the audience notices how much Divya has evolved, not just in appearance, but in strength and purpose as well.'
As the plot unfolds further in the upcoming episodes, get ready to witness changes in the Chauhan house, especially with the upcoming drama revolving around Megha and Devansh's nuptials. Will Megha truly find her place by Devansh's side? Or will the family find out about Megha's truth?

Jungle Mangal Movie Review: a calm adventure wrapped in suspense

The Times of India Jul 04, 2025, 11:27 AM IST 3.0 By Susmita Sameera Set against the scenic backdrop of a village at the foothills of the Western Ghats, the story begins on April 5th, 2020. As COVID-19 safety instructions play on TV, we meet a couple—Praveen ( Yash Shetty ) and Divya (Harshitha Ramachandra)—arguing over the phone. Praveen longs to see Divya, but she is hesitant due to lockdown protocols. After some convincing, she sneaks out of her home. Praveen picks her up, hides his bike in the bushes, and takes her to a secluded spot in the nearby forest. During their conversation, Divya reveals she has waited long enough for Praveen to settle down. As the eldest of four daughters, family pressures have mounted, and she's accepted another marriage proposal. Just as emotions peak, word spreads in the village that a couple is hiding in the forest. A group of villagers, eager to catch them in the act, sets out to confront them. What follows is a gripping escape, not just from the villagers, but also from a terrifying goon with his own agenda. As they navigate this tense situation, the couple must also face the unresolved complexities of their relationship. The film explores whether they can outwit their pursuers and confront their personal dilemmas. The narrative is layered, not only focusing on the protagonists but also delving into the lives of other interconnected characters. Told in a non-linear style, it frequently jumps back in time to reveal the events that shaped key moments. While most flashbacks are engaging, a few slower segments briefly disrupt the flow. At its core, the film is a simple yet nuanced story about love, pressure, and escape. While Praveen and Divya's relationship anchors the plot, the emotional depth extends to others entangled in their own struggles. Yash Shetty and Harshitha Ramachandra bring sincerity to their roles, but Ugramm Manju, as the fierce and unpredictable antagonist, leaves a strong impact with his screen presence. Though the film avoids dramatic spikes, it remains steadily engaging, unfolding its mysteries gradually and letting tension and emotion breathe. Shot in the lush greenery of the Western Ghats and grounded in village life, it creates an immersive atmosphere. The music elevates the film and stands out as one of its key strengths. Rather than building to a dramatic climax, the film resolves its conflicts in the same steady rhythm it maintains throughout. There are no major twists or high-stakes payoffs—just a quiet closure to the journey. This is not a film that aims to shock or overwhelm. It's a calm, adventure-thriller best enjoyed with a bucket of popcorn—an easy, laid-back watch set against a lush natural backdrop.

Pratiksha Rai portrays three undercover disguises in Vasudha

The drama in Vasudha is set to hit a new high as the story takes a gripping turn. In a bold twist, Karishma (Pratiksha Rai) secures bail and walks out of prison, only to head straight back to the Chauhan house. Fueled by suspicion that her cousin and partner-in-revenge, Megha (Mandeep Kaur), has developed feelings for Devansh (Abhishek Sharma), Karishma fears their carefully laid plan against the Chauhan family may be falling apart. But she isn't returning quietly. In a daring performance, Pratiksha slips into three dramatic disguises to confront Megha—first as a Banjaran in vibrant Rajasthani attire, then a moustached male servant, and finally Megha's bua under a ghoonghat. Each look isn't just part of the plot—it spotlights Pratiksha's impressive range. Behind the scenes, these transformations were no less intense. From prosthetics and moustaches to heavy jewellery and layered makeup, each look required hours of prep, especially the male avatar shot in the heat. Yet, with grace and grit, Pratiksha delivered a performance that was not only convincing but also layered, emotional, and unforgettable. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like One of the Most Successful Investors of All Time, Warren Buffett, Recommends: 5 Books for Turning... Over time, the audience has started reacting so strongly to her actions that I often get messages saying, 'Why are you always troubling Vasudha?' (laughs). That's when I knew the character was truly making an impact. With this new track, I got the opportunity to take Karishma to another level of unpredictability and drama, donning three completely different disguises in just three days. Each look came with its own set of challenges—right from adapting to a new voice and body language to wearing heavy Rajasthani jewellery one day, and a realistic moustache and turban the next. The male disguise, especially, really pushed me to modulate my voice and change my physicality.' She added, 'It was physically and mentally exhausting, but I took it up as a challenge because these are the moments we live for as actors. What made it all worth it was the thrill of slipping into these characters and bringing Karishma's desperation and determination alive on screen. It's been one of the most challenging and exciting experiences of my journey in Vasudha—a track full of suspense, emotion, and transformation. I truly can't wait for the audience to see the drama that's about to unfold!' While Pratiksha is thrilled about exploring these bold new shades of her character, the chaos in the Chauhan household is only just beginning. With Megha discovering that Vasudha secretly wears a mangalsutra in Devansh's name, the emotional stakes are at an all-time high. Blackmail, betrayal, and long-buried secrets are about to surface. Will Vasudha (Priya Thakur) uncover Megha's hidden agenda and her plot for revenge against the Chauhan family? Megha Ray on upcoming sequence with Suraj Pratap Singh in Divya Prem: For the first time, I'm dancing with a co-actor who matches my energy

Megha Ray, who plays the titular role of Divya, opened up about her on-screen chemistry and dancing experience with co-star Suraj Pratap Singh in Divya Prem: Pyaar Aur Rahasya Ki Kahani. 'Honestly, I've never had this much fun shooting a dance sequence,' Megha shared. 'For the first time, I'm dancing with a co-actor who matches my energy step for step. Suraj is such a fantastic dancer. We share the same rhythm, the same unspoken understanding. If he moves a certain way, I instinctively know what to do next.' Megha also spoke about how this rhythm allowed them to experiment and elevate the choreography. 'That comfort lets us play with the steps, add lifts, improvise, and create something that feels effortless and in sync,' she said. While the duo was guided by professional choreographers, Megha emphasized the importance of adding their own flair. 'We have amazing choreographers, but as actors, it's our job to bring the soul. We know our characters best. Whether it's a spontaneous twirl, an expressive gaze, or an unscripted moment with Suraj, it adds depth and chemistry,' she explained. Describing dance as a form of 'storytelling without words,' Megha said this performance beautifully captures the emotional tension between Divya and Prem. Divya Prem follows the mystical love story of Divya, a spirited girl from Ujjain, whose life takes a mysterious turn when she meets Prem. As their love deepens, secrets from the past threaten to resurface — setting the stage for a narrative filled with romance, suspense, and soulful performances.
