Raleigh hits 37th and 38th homers, Mariners end Skubal's 3-month unbeaten streak with 12-3 romp
Raleigh — in the lineup as designated hitter — made it 5-3 on a solo shot in the eighth inning, then hit a grand slam in a seven-run ninth.
Skubal (10-3) was 10-0 with a 1.62 ERA in 16 starts since losing 3-2 to the Mariners in Seattle on April 2. He allowed four runs on four hits and two walks in five innings, striking out five.
Luis Castillo (6-5) got the win, giving up three runs in five innings.
Seattle took a 1-0 lead in the third when center fielder Parker Meadows dove for Donovan Solano's sinking liner and missed. It rolled to the wall for an RBI triple. ach McKinstry tied it with a fourth-inning single.
J.P. Crawford's two-out RBI single made it 2-1 in the fifth, and Rodríguez followed with a two-run homer over the Seattle bullpen in left-center field.
Riley Greene's RBI triple got the major league-leading Tigers to 4-2 in the sixth, and Spencer Torkelson followed with a sacrifice fly.

The Alcaraz-Sinner final at Wimbledon is the first French Open rematch since Federer-Nadal in 2008
LONDON (AP) — It's fitting that the Wimbledon final between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner on Sunday represents the first time the same two men meet for that title right after playing for the French Open trophy since a couple of guys named Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal did so every year from 2006-2008. That's because the only real competition the No. 1-ranked Sinner and the No. 2-ranked Alcaraz face at the moment comes from each other — not anyone else currently on the men's tennis tour — and the only comparisons that feel somewhat appropriate come by measuring them against the greatness of the Big Three. Let's be clear: It's too early to put Alcaraz or Sinner in a class with Federer and Nadal — each retired with at least 20 Grand Slam titles — or Novak Djokovic, who is still going at age 38 with 24 majors. But as Djokovic himself put it: 'We know they're the dominant force right now.' Sinner and Alcaraz have combined to win the past 6 major titles They have combined to win the last six majors, a streak that will grow to seven on Sunday. Go further back, and it'll be nine of the past 12 Slams (the others in that span went to Djokovic). Alcaraz, a 22-year-old from Spain, already owns five such trophies; Sinner, a 23-year-old from Italy, has three. Bayer Leverkusen signs US midfielder Malik Tillman for club-record fee
LEVERKUSEN, Germany (AP) — Bayer Leverkusen has moved to replace Florian Wirtz by signing United States international Malik Tillman from PSV Eindhoven for a club-record fee. The 23-year-old attacking midfielder signed a contract through June 2030, the Bundesliga club said Saturday. Kicker magazine reported Leverkusen was paying PSV a fixed sum of 35 million euros ($41 million) for the player, making him the club's most expensive incoming transfer. 'We've gained another strong and very dangerous attacking player,' Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rolfes said 'He can play in both the number 10 and the number 8 positions in midfield. Malik is an absolute top signing for us.' Tillman, who was born in Nuremberg, Germany to a German mother and American father, played through Bayern Munich's youth teams after switching from Bavarian rival Greuther Fürth in 2015. He was unable to establish himself in the senior team and made just seven appearances for Bayern before joining Glasgow Rangers on loan in 2022-23. He joined PSV on loan with an option to buy the next season, before PSV activated the buy option last year. Tillman scored 16 goals and set up five more in 34 competitive games for PSV last season, helping it to the Dutch league title. Leverkusen is rebuilding this offseason amid star player Wirtz' departure for Liverpool for a Bundesliga-record fee.
