The Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) organized the First Annual Excellence Forum 2025 in a ceremony attended by a distinguished group of senior officials, executive directors, and outstanding employees of the PCFC. The event featured the recognition of nearly 40 winners of excellence awards in appreciation of their exceptional efforts and remarkable achievements that contributed to strengthening the Corporation's local and global standing.
In a remarkable evening embodying the values of leadership and innovation, H.E. Nasser Al Neyadi, CEO of the Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation, delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of excellence as a core value in the Corporation's strategies. He highlighted that the corporation's strategic directions are aligned with the wise leadership's vision and support the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
He stated, 'This event reflects our firm commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. It is an opportunity to celebrate our employees who embody these values across various fields of work'.
He further added, "Our goal is to recognize and motivate employees who deliver outstanding efforts and unique achievements that the Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation takes pride in. Their contributions enhance productivity, improve the work environment, and embody values of leadership, cooperation, and community service'.
The ceremony featured the distribution of awards across various categories, including Best Feasible Suggestion Award, the Social Employee Award, the Unknown Soldier Award, the Positive Leader Award, the Committed Department Award, and the Best Department in Media Presence Award.
Special recognitions were also granted to teamwork that contributed to significant achievements, including the team supervising the completion of the corporation's new headquarters, the '360 Services' team. Additionally, prominent individuals were honored with awards such as Transformation Leader" Award and the Accomplished Leader" Award. The ceremony concluded with a special tribute to H.E. Nasser Al Neyadi, in recognition of his pioneering role in advancing institutional excellence.

Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Managing Director and Group CEO, AD Ports Group, commented: 'As the world's largest exporter and driver of supply chain development, China is actively reshaping international trade. AD Ports Group shares China's vision for greater cross-border integration. 'Through our newly established Beijing office, we will work closely with our Chinese partners to support the expansion of key local, regional and international trade corridors and deliver cutting-edge shipping, infrastructure, and logistics solutions. 'We look forward to furthering our mutual investment flows and unlocking lasting value for our customers, investors and communities, creating a more connected, resilient and prosperous future for all.' The office will also play a key role in advancing the Group's presence domestically and along China's Belt and Road network, which includes maritime routes linking Asia, Africa, and Europe, and multimodal overland corridors connecting markets across several key markets. Noatum Logistics, the logistics arm for the Group, will also operate its new commercial branch for the Beijing-Tianjin region from the same office. As part of its China growth strategy, AD Ports Group will be expanding Noatum Logistics in-country capacities to offer a full suite of end-to-end logistics solutions tailored specifically to the needs of China's own rapidly expanding domestic market. The country's GDP is expected to grow at a CAGR of 3.5 per cent through 2030. With its logistics market projected to rise at a 4.6 per cent CAGR through 2030, the Group aims to become a major logistics player serving China's key industry sectors across their supply chain. The new office was officially opened by Samir Chaturvedi, Chief International Business Officer, AD Ports Group and CEO of Noatum Logistics; Abdulaziz Zayed Al-Shamsi, Regional CEO, AD Ports Group, and Ellie Hioe, General Manager of Noatum Logistics – Greater China. The launch builds on the Group's long-standing partnerships with Chinese businesses. Specifically, the Group and Jiangsu Overseas Cooperation Investment operate one of the most successful economic zones in Abu Dhabi, while COSCO Shipping Ports (CSP) operates a major container terminal via a joint venture at Khalifa Port. A growing number of Chinese companies have invested in manufacturing and trading entities within KEZAD, the largest operator of integrated economic zones in the UAE.

The Dubai Land Department signed a memorandum of cooperation with Masdar City, aiming to enable companies and establishments operating in the free zones under Masdar City to own land plots and properties under the freehold ownership system in Dubai, within a clear and comprehensive regulatory framework. This step is part of Dubai Land Department's efforts to enhance the competitiveness of the emirate's real estate market and expand the investor base by creating new opportunities for free zone companies, in line with the objectives of the Dubai Real Estate Strategy 2033. The MoC was signed by Majid Al Marri, CEO of the Real Estate Registration Sector at DLD, and Ahmed Baghoum, Chief Executive Officer of Masdar City, during an official ceremony held in Dubai, in the presence of several directors from both sides. Majid Al Marri said: 'We continue to expand access to Dubai's freehold market through collaborative models that enhance the integration of the real estate ecosystem across the UAE. Enabling companies registered in free zones to own property in the emirate aligns with our vision of building a more open investment environment that offers diverse ownership options. We consider this a strategic step that adds significant value to the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 by diversifying the investor base and stimulating new investment flows that contribute to market growth and sustainability, all in line with our leadership's vision of making Dubai the best city in the world to live and work.' Ahmed Baghoum said: "This initiative highlights Masdar City's commitment to supporting businesses with innovative solutions that address their needs.
