Abdullah bin Salem honours winners of Sports Excellence Programme
Recognition of Leading Clubs and Individuals His Highness honoured Sharjah Classic Car Club and Sharjah Cultural Chess Club with the award for Best Leading Club among specialised clubs. Meanwhile, Sharjah Sports Club and Al Hamriyah Cultural Sports Club received the award for Best Leading Club among sports clubs. His Highness also honoured 12 employees from Sharjah's clubs with the Unknown Soldier Award. In the category of outstanding employees, Ammar Ahmed Mahmoud from Sharjah International Marine Sports Club won Best Support Services Employee among specialised clubs. Haitham Atef Maghari from Sharjah Sports Club won the same award among sports clubs. Huda Thani Ali from Sharjah Classic Car Club received Best Institutional Communication Employee among specialised clubs, while Shaimaa Ali Al Saridi from Khorfakkan Cultural Sports Club won the award in the sports clubs category. Honouring Excellence Across Various Roles Ahmed Sultan Al Hassani from Sharjah International Marine Sports Club won Best Strategy and Performance Employee among specialised clubs. Badr Al Din Abdulmutallib Khidr from Khorfakkan Cultural Sports Club took the award among sports clubs. Aisha Youssef Al Qassab from Sharjah Classic Car Club received Best Community Culture Employee among specialised clubs, while Mohamed Ahmed Al Batanouni from Mleiha Cultural Sports Club won in the sports clubs category. In the Best Executive Director category, Ahmed Saif Al Tamimi from Sharjah Classic Car Club won for specialised clubs, and Mohamed Ali Al Qusair from Sharjah Sports Club won for sports clubs. His Highness also honoured the judges and evaluators of the awards, taking commemorative photos with them and wishing them success. Appreciation for His Highness's Support His Highness was presented with a commemorative shield by the Sharjah Sports Council, in recognition and gratitude for his patronage of the ceremony, his strong support for the council's plans and programmes, and his ongoing follow-up of the activities and events of Sharjah's clubs. Ceremony Highlights and Strategic Overview The ceremony began with the UAE national anthem, followed by a speech by Dr Abdullah Abdulrahman bin Sultan, Head of the Sharjah Sports Excellence Leadership Programme. He welcomed His Highness and attendees, recalling the adoption of the Sharjah Sports Council's strategy four years ago, which has since achieved numerous accomplishments and initiatives to enhance Sharjah's sports ecosystem. He reviewed key figures related to the awards, including the number of files received—124 in total—the field visits conducted, and the training courses, workshops, and introductory seminars held. Acknowledgment of Founders and Future Vision He expressed his thanks to the sports figures who founded the UAE's sports sector in general, and Sharjah's in particular, emphasising that today's achievements are the result of an integrated institutional effort aimed at empowerment, sustainability, and developing a sports environment that contributes to quality of life in the Emirate. Documentary and Theatrical Performance His Highness and attendees watched a documentary showcasing the journey of the Sharjah Sports Excellence Leadership Programme and its goals to motivate Sharjah's clubs and their staff, which positively impacts the performance of players, coaches, and administrators. The film also highlighted key milestones and the efforts of the teams behind the programme's success. The ceremony featured a theatrical performance titled 'The Hero's Memory' in three acts, performed by members of the Art for All Centre affiliated with the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services. The first act recalled heroic moments and significant victories and losses in sports careers, leading to achievements and winning the gold award—a result of perseverance and dedication. It also highlighted the role of family, relationships, clubs, and sports institutions in shaping champions across various sports fields. Symbolism and Celebration In the second act, the narrator carried the award's torch, symbolising the light of excellence in the hearts and minds of those working in sports institutions, clubs, and among players. The speech drew on core values and the vision of the award, such as sportsmanship, transparency, challenge, excellence, and leadership. The final act celebrated the players around a golden cup platform, culminating in the unveiling of the championship trophy for the programme's awards. Distinguished Guests Besides His Highness, the ceremony was attended by Major General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police; Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council; Saeed Hareb, Secretary-General of Dubai Sports Council; as well as several officials, heads of specialised and sports clubs, and representatives of Sharjah clubs.

The event featured the recognition of nearly 40 winners of excellence awards in appreciation of their exceptional efforts and remarkable achievements that contributed to strengthening the Corporation's local and global standing. In a remarkable evening embodying the values of leadership and innovation, H.E. Nasser Al Neyadi, CEO of the Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation, delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of excellence as a core value in the Corporation's strategies. He highlighted that the corporation's strategic directions are aligned with the wise leadership's vision and support the Dubai Economic Agenda D33. He stated, 'This event reflects our firm commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. It is an opportunity to celebrate our employees who embody these values across various fields of work'. He further added, "Our goal is to recognize and motivate employees who deliver outstanding efforts and unique achievements that the Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation takes pride in. Their contributions enhance productivity, improve the work environment, and embody values of leadership, cooperation, and community service'. The ceremony featured the distribution of awards across various categories, including Best Feasible Suggestion Award, the Social Employee Award, the Unknown Soldier Award, the Positive Leader Award, the Committed Department Award, and the Best Department in Media Presence Award. Special recognitions were also granted to teamwork that contributed to significant achievements, including the team supervising the completion of the corporation's new headquarters, the '360 Services' team. Additionally, prominent individuals were honored with awards such as Transformation Leader" Award and the Accomplished Leader" Award. The ceremony concluded with a special tribute to H.E. Nasser Al Neyadi, in recognition of his pioneering role in advancing institutional excellence.

Dibba Al Hisn Sports Club honours Excellence Awards' winners
The Excellence Awards included the Job Excellence Award, the Distinguished Sports Committee Award, the Unknown Soldier Award for Technical Workers, and the Honour Award for Overall Work. The honouring ceremony was held during a special celebration at the club's theatre, in appreciation of their outstanding efforts and distinguished contributions to developing work within the club. The honouring ceremony was held by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al Motawa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dibba Al Hisn Sports and Cultural Club; His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al Taraban Al-Hamoudi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dibba Al Hisn Football Club; and the members of the Board of Directors and the Executive Director of the club. Positive spirit in work environment Al Motawa praised the employees performance and their role in promoting a positive spirit and innovation in the work environment, and that it is within the club's policy to motivate staff and encourage them to provide their best in various fields. A true reflection of limitless ambition Al Motawa pointed out that excellence is not just an achievement, but a true reflection of the will and limitless ambition, and the club honours those who have shown that strength does not lie only in effort, but in the ability to soar above challenges and creativity in providing the best. Enhancing the culture of excellence Al Motawa added that honouring the distinguished employees enhances the culture of excellence and achievement within the club, and motivates the rest of the employees to exert more effort to achieve the club's strategic goals and the vision of the wise leadership under the supervision and follow-up of the Sharjah Sports Council. Al Motawa concluded his speech by congratulating the distinguished employees, wishing them success and excellence, and called on everyone to work in a team spirit to achieve more achievements that bear the name of our distinguished club. His Excellency Mohammed Al Hamoudi expressed his happiness with everyone's pursuit of excellence and that everyone is indeed distinguished and that the selection process among the distinguished candidates to choose the most distinguished required applying the standards with more accuracy and integrity, which motivates everyone towards more competition in the upcoming sessions.
