11 People Injured in Knife Attack in Michigan
At least 11 people have been injured in a knife attack at a Walmart supermarket in Michigan, authorities said on Sunday.
Authorities added that a suspect was in custody following the attack in Traverse City.
Munson Medical Centre said on social media that it treated 11 victims. "As a result, our Emergency Department is currently experiencing a higher-than-usual volume of patients,". Local media reports said three people were undergoing surgery.
Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office confirmed it was investigating "a multiple stabbing incident at the Wal-Mart in Traverse City".
The suspect is a Michigan resident and used a "folding knife style weapon", Sheriff Michael Shea told reporters. The incident appeared to be a "random act", he added.
Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer said she was "in touch with law enforcement about the horrible news".
"Our thoughts are with the victims and the community reeling from this brutal act of violence," she added.

Lebanon bids iconic composer Ziad Rahbani farewell
Hundreds of people in Lebanon paid tribute Monday to iconic composer, pianist and playwright Ziad Rahbani, who died over the weekend. His mother, Fairuz, one of the Arab world's most esteemed singers, made a rare public appearance. Rahbani, also known as a political provocateur, died Saturday at age 69. The cause of death was not immediately known. His passing shocked much of the Arab world, which appreciated his satire, unapologetic political critique and avante-garde, jazz-inspired compositions that mirrored the chaos and contradictions of Lebanon throughout its civil war from 1975 until 1990. He also composed some of his mother's most famous songs. The Rahbani family was a cornerstone in Lebanon's golden era of music theater that today is steeped in idealism and nostalgia in a troubled country. Top Lebanese political officials and artists paid tribute after the death was announced. Rahbani, a leftist Greek Orthodox, often mocked Lebanon's sectarian divisions in his work. Hundreds of people holding roses and photos gathered by Khoury Hospital near Beirut's busy Hamra district, solemnly singing some of his most famous songs and applauding as a vehicle carrying his body left its garage. Reem Haidar, who grew up during the civil war, said Rahbani's songs and their messages were what she and others associated with at a time when there was 'no nation to belong to.' The vehicle made its way to a church in the mountainous town of Bikfaya before burial in the family cemetery. Fairuz, 90, had spent many years away from the public eye. Wearing black sunglasses and a black veil, she greeted visitors who came to pay respects. She had not been seen publicly since photos surfaced of her meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, who visited her residence in 2020 to award her France's highest medal of honor. In recent years, Rahbani also appeared less in the public eye, yet his influence never waned. Younger generations rediscovered his plays online and sampled his music in protest movements. He continued to compose and write, speaking often of his frustration with Lebanon's political stagnation and decaying public life. Rahbani is survived by his mother and his sister Reema and brother Hali. Follow us on: Facebook Instagram Whatsapp Short link:

Your Guide to Planning a Fun and Budget-Friendly Vacation
Pasant Elzaitony With rising travel and accommodation costs, planning a summer getaway may seem expensive—but with a little smart preparation, you can enjoy a memorable vacation without overspending. Here are key tips to help you plan a summer filled with joy, relaxation, and savings. 1. Plan Early Booking your flights and accommodation in advance allows you to take advantage of early-bird discounts and promotional offers. 2. Explore Alternative Destinations Instead of heading to the most popular (and pricey) tourist spots, consider less-crowded, underrated destinations that offer equally beautiful experiences at a fraction of the cost. 3. Try Local Travel or Eco-Tourism Domestic destinations or nature-based travel such as camping can be refreshing, affordable alternatives to international trips. 4. Pre-Plan Your Meals Eating out at tourist-heavy restaurants can drain your budget. Opt for accommodations with kitchen access or enjoy affordable local street food for an authentic and economical dining experience. 5. Take Advantage of Free Events Check local calendars for open-air concerts, cultural festivals, or free museum days that can enrich your trip without extra cost. 6. Use Smart Apps From budget-friendly accommodation to finding cheap transport options, travel apps can help you save time and money. 7. Pack Light Avoid paying for excess baggage by traveling light and packing only the essentials. In Summary: A great summer holiday doesn't require a big budget—just smart planning and thoughtful choices. Whether you're heading to the beach, the mountains, or exploring your own city, memorable experiences await those who travel wisely. read more 15 Ludicrous Cosplay Costumes That Will Blow You Away Watch...
