Guns and ammunition seized at separate Birmingham addresses in police raids
The first raid took place in Woodman Walk, near Witton Lakes, in Erdington on Friday, July 11.
Officers searched a home and found a live firearm and several rounds of ammunition.

Police also found suspected Class A drugs, a large amount of cannabis and 'other drug-related material'.
The next day a second unconnected raid was carried out in St Benedict's Road in Small Heath.
There officers from West Midlands Police 's Major Crime Team searched a home and found another live firearm, ammunition, a lock knife and suspected Class B drugs.
The gun was said to have been a converted blank firearm with three rounds of live ammunition 'ready to be fired'.
Across the two addresses three men were arrested.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: 'We have taken several firearms off the streets and made significant arrests as we keep up our work against serious and organised crime in the West Midlands.
'Officers from our Major Crime Team carried out searches at an address in St Benedict's Road on July 12, where they found a live firearm and suspected class B drugs, as well as a locking knife.
'The gun was a converted blank-firer with three rounds of live ammunition ready to be fired.
'A man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of possession of a prohibited firearm.
'He remains in custody today while our enquiries continue.'

The statement continued: 'Elsewhere, a warrant was carried out July 11 in Woodman Walk and two men were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
'Officers searched the property and found suspected Class A drugs as well as a live firearm and several rounds of ammunition.
'A large amount of cannabis and other drug-related material was also found and is being examined.
'The two men arrested have been bailed while our enquiries continue.

In addition the police spokesperson added: 'Across the West Midlands, our teams are carrying out regular operations to disrupt serious and organised crime.
'Under Operation Target, we have seized hundreds of firearms as well as significant quantities of drugs and money from organised crime gangs.
'The work of our teams often relies on information from the public to tell us where and when this criminal activity is taking place.
'This helps us plan our operations and helps our investigations.

2 people shot on Grouse Run Drive in north Stockton
Authorities are investigating after two people were shot in Stockton on Monday night. The Stockton Police Department said it happened shortly after 9 p.m. at an apartment complex along Grouse Run Drive at March Lane in the northern part of the city near Quail Lake. 2 women shot in Homestead
Two women were injured in a late-night shooting in Homestead. Allegheny County Police say dispatchers were initially notified of shots fired in the area of Hays Street just after 10 p.m. on Monday. Police say officers who arrived at the scene found two women who had each been shot. According to police, the first woman was shot twice in the leg and was taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition. Police say the second woman was grazed in the shoulder and did not need to be taken to the hospital. Several shell casings were recovered from the scene, according to police. Detectives from the Allegheny County Police General Investigations Unit are leading the investigation into the shooting. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the County Police Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Newly released video shows the frantic moments police said a woman in mental crisis shot toward officers. Before they shot and killed her outside an east downtown hotel. The shooting happened in the Hotel Parq Central parking lot around 5 a.m. on June 17. Before that, police said the woman involved stole a gun from hotel security and opened fire. The woman at the center of it was 36-year-old Desiree Danielle Herrera, who hotel staff wanted off the property. The Albquerque Police Department said Herrera was breaking computers and glass inside the hotel, and they believe she was in a mental crisis. Things quickly escalated when she took a gun from the hotel security guard, leading staff to call 911 again. Video showed Herrera charging outside and trying to break into an SUV, eventually firing a gun into the window. Within seconds, officers arrived, and Herrera went up to the hotel's staircase and fired her gun. APD said she fired eight shots over the next minute as police demanded she surrender, and they added that she then fired a round at a car near officers. That's when officers fired back. Hererra died at the scene. APD Chief Harold Medina said just hours before the shooting, an officer arranged for paramedics to take her in for an evaluation. Chief Medina said APD is still investigating the circumstances behind how Herrera got from the hospital, where she was getting a mental health evaluation, to the hotel where the shooting happened.
