Stranger Things season 5 deaths 'sealed' as show lets slip fate of two stars

Daily Mirror6 days ago
Netflix's Stranger Things is coming to an end in November as the fifth and final season lands on the streamer - but fans are convinced that the poster has spoiled who's set to die
Stranger Things fans are bracing for tragedy ahead of the Netflix show's final season, with many spotting a big clue as to who will die in the upcoming episodes. It's been a long wait for Netflix subscribers - with the last season of the hit sci-fi series airing back in 2022 - however, we're finally returning to Hawkins for the show's last instalments in November.

With the gang hoping to kill evil Vecna for good in the upcoming three-part finale, blood was always going to be shed in this final battle. However, fans are convinced that the Netflix show has given away a massive spoiler by releasing its new poster for its fifth and final season.

In the poster, we see Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) and Will (Noah Schnapp) riding their bikes through a destroyed Hawkins with Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) on Mike's.
However, it's just Dustin and Will who have lights on their bikes - and one particular fan has theorised on TikTok that this could mean we'll see them both meet their demise in the upcoming series.
"Looking at the poster, you see the main four riding their bikes, the only two bikes with their lights on are Dustin and Will," they wrote on TikTok.

"Going back to season 4, steve, robin, nancy and Eddie are in the upside down riding their bikes and the only bike light on is eddie who also happens to be the only one to die."
"Me tweaking the f**k out bc the duffer brothers literally just spoiled two character deaths by the new stranger things 5 poster," another upset fan wrote on TikTok. "Y'all were not subtle."

Netflix also released the trailer for season five this week and some fans are convinced that they've spotted Will cast the Fireball spell on Vecna to defeat him.
In the clip, David Harbour's character Hopper can be heard saying: "I need you to fight one last time", while the camera zooms in on Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), bathed in what appears to be the glow of nearby flames.
Then later in the trailer, Vecna is seen engulfed in a fiery vortex. A Reddit user speculated: "I think Will [is] casting Fireball on Vecna. He says I cast Fireball in the first episode."
The Fireball spell, which came from the Dungeons and Dragons game, is featured in one of the initial scenes of Stranger Things when it premiered in 2016.

Chart topping musician 'gate-crashes wedding' and bride and groom are thrilled

A surprise for a wedding party led to the appearance of a chart-topping musician, who just happened to be in the building and joined the group for a performance of a hit song A chart topping musician was seen gate crashing a wedding, much to the delight of the bride and groom. A happenstance encounter between the hitmaker and her impromptu audience has since gone viral on TikTok, with footage of the event thrilling members of the public. The upload called the star the "best wedding crasher ever". ‌ Praise came not just for the star's sudden performance but her singing voice. People who watched the video surprised to hear how brilliant the Murder on the Dancefloor singer still sounds. The Lodge at Ashford Castle party was kicked up a notch when Sophie Ellis-Bextor appeared for a performance of her 2001 hit. ‌ ‌ The songwriter, who releases new album Perimenopop later this year, made for a surprise appearance at the wedding. A post from Jennifer Gillespie captured the moment Ellis-Bextor showed up for the wedding. Jennifer would go on to say it took a "serious bit of wedding luck" to get Ellis-Bextor, who just happened to be performing at another wedding in County Mayo, Ireland, at the time. One TikTok user asked: "How does one get their wedding to be crashed by Sophie Ellis-Bextor?" Jennifer replied: "Right place, right time and a serious bit of wedding luck." ‌ Jennifer went on to say Ellis-Bextor was "such good fun" and her "kind" gesture has gone down well with members of the public. She added: "Sophie topped off the most perfect day. Huge thank you to everyone at The Lodge for helping make my sisters day so magical!" Fans of the singer have since praised her for appearing and performing at a wedding out of the blue. One user wrote: "Every time I see any clips of Sophie Ellis-Bextor singing live she sounds phenomenal. "She has a beautiful, pure voice. I'm not what you'd call a big fan but I guess I am now as every time I hear her I think she's fantastic! It's so effortless. Congratulations to you guys too!!" ‌ Another wrote: "She's amazing live I've been lucky enough to see her a few times. Faultless. Met her Saturday at Newbury." A third asked: "Currently planning a wedding. I want to know how exactly to plan the Sophie Ellis-Bextor surprise gig segment of the evening." Jennifer shared a bit more information on who Ellis-Bextor ended up at the wedding, saying a separate party at the venue was being attended by the singer. She wrote: "She was staying in the hotel and had just played at another wedding in the castle! She had also played Galway International Arts Festival during the week." In a separate reply, Jennifer added: "Sophie was playing at another wedding in Ashford Castle that night and staying in The Lodge, one of the guests spotted her in the lobby singing along when her song came on and asked her to come out and sing which she was kind enough to do. She made the bride and grooms night."
