Where to celebrate NYC Pride 2025 at Moxy Hotels across the city
The headline event is 'Pride for the People,' a post-parade block party hosted by RuPaul's Drag Race alum, Xunami Muse. Taking place at Moxy Chelsea on June 29, the party includes DJ sets, live performances, on-site makeup from Stencil1 and a signature cocktail called Pride Punch. Tickets are $10, with all proceeds benefiting The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative (SIGBI).
That partnership with SIGBI goes beyond the party. All five NYC Moxy locations— Chelsea, Times Square, East Village, Lower East Side and Williamsburg —have officially been certified as Safe Spaces through the initiative.
"As a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, I'm thrilled that at Moxy, Pride is more than a month—it's a mindset," Lauren Levin, chief marketing officer at Moxy Hotels / Lightstone, said in a statement. "We're the only hotel brand in NYC to partner with The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative, certifying each of our hotels as a designated safe space and training our staff to ensure every guest feels truly welcome."
Other standout Pride events include Burlesque Bingo at Moxy East Village on June 23, hosted by The Nuyorican Bombshell and her crew of high-glam performers, plus a free round of Drag Bingo with Sparkle Monster at Moxy Chelsea on June 9. There's also a Pride Salsa class on June 19 at Moxy Chelsea for anyone looking to learn new moves—or show off old ones—in a crowd that knows how to celebrate identity with rhythm.
Over in Brooklyn, Strut NYC takes over the rooftop at Moxy Williamsburg on June 26. The party promises sunset views, cocktails and a stacked lineup of performers including Julie J, Markus Kelle and Coach Chris. It's co-presented by Helium Mobile and Sun Cruiser, two brands leaning hard into the queer nightlife space this year.
For those who prefer their Pride a little quieter (but still Instagrammable), the lobby of Moxy Chelsea is getting its annual Pride makeover courtesy of Starbright Floral Design. The show-stopping installation, led by artist Nikki Abis, transforms the space into a high-color, high-drama tribute to self-expression and visibility.
Also worth noting, the "Moxy's Got Pride" hotel package includes two tickets to NYC's official Pride walking tour, two cans of Gay Water and a rainbow tie-dye bandana. A portion of proceeds go to SIGBI because even mini-fridges should be part of the movement.
The full schedule spans June, and most events are either free or low-cost. And while the hotel group is clearly not shy about aligning itself with Pride, the effort feels like more than a marketing play—especially when paired with community partnerships, staff training and events that give back. It's Pride with purpose, and yes, plenty of glitter.

Ebbw Vale's Nathan Wyburn honoured by Blaenau Gwent Council
Nathan Wyburn, originally from Ebbw Vale in Blaenau Gwent, was presented with a Special Recognition Award by Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council for his contributions to equality, mental health, and LGBTQ+ rights. He also helped to hold a Pride event in Blaenau Gwent. Councillor Chris Smith, the council's equality member champion and presiding member, said: "With Nathan's connections, hard work and all-round enthusiasm, we were able to deliver a truly memorable event that was a landmark moment—fostering a sense of unity, respect and joy among both allies and LGBTQ+ individuals." Mr Wyburn first gained national attention on Britain's Got Talent in 2011 with his Marmite-on-toast portrait of Simon Cowell. Since then, he has continued to create thought-provoking artwork using unusual materials such as ketchup, glitter, tea, feathers, and sweets. He said: "I'm honoured to receive this recognition. "I'm incredibly proud to have been brought up in this area and I really feel it gave me a strong basis for who I've become as a person and an artist. "I endeavour to continue my artwork and advocacy going forward and always hope to receive the call to come home and help with future projects and initiatives in the area. "Thank you." Mr Wyburn played a key role in organising Blaenau Gwent's inaugural Pride event, which included curating the artist line-up, opening the event, and co-compering with fellow advocate Wayne Courtney. His "Gay Icons" exhibition was also featured at the celebration. Despite his international success, Mr Wyburn remains deeply connected to his hometown, often leading community art projects and school sessions. His commitment to both art and advocacy continues to inspire people across Blaenau Gwent and beyond.

EastEnders' Ben Mitchell's 'return imminent' as Callum cheats with unlikely pal
Amongst all the drama with Bernie and Felix's exit in tonight's EastEnders, fans were left in shock when Johnny and Callum shared a passionate kiss - despite his marriage to Ben In tonight's EastEnders, Felix Baker was left in tears after spotting his boyfriend Johnny Carter share a kiss with Callum Highway, despite him still being married to Ben Mitchell. During Pride celebrations in The Albert, Johnny was seen apologising to Callum after berating him for putting his life on hold while Ben serves time in prison in America. "You are a young, hot man with a life, a job, a future. When is your life going to be about you?" Johnny questioned before the two shared a passionate kiss. A devastated Felix decided to pack his bags and leave, and although Callum is still married to Ben, spoilers for next week confirm things will go one step further between the pair, as they're set to spend the night together. It's been rumoured that Max Bowden will be reprising his role as Ben Mitchell, and now fans think is return is sooner than we think. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: "I bet this will be a actual affair between Callum and Johnny and it's funny they have Callum hooking up with someone when Ben is about to come back." Another Ballum fan penned: "I know I'm late to the conversation but I only have this to say regarding Johnny/Callum - it's unfortunate but irrelevant. Ben is coming back so drama was inevitable. I'm not worried." Earlier this year, it was reported that Max Bowden, who played Ben Mitchell, would be back for a brief stint in the show later this year, with a possibility of it becoming full-time. However, this has not yet been confirmed by bosses. A source told the Sun of the reported return: 'Ben [Wadey] had a list of characters he wanted to bring back, and Ben Mitchell was one. It's taken a little while to sort out, but Max will be back filming on Albert Square later this year.' 'Ben wanted to meet Max and see where his head was at," the source continued, revealing that the new boss went to see the actor in the musical Midnight Cowboy. 'Things hadn't ended particularly well, and Ben wanted to assure him this could be his fresh start," the source continued. They then revealed that Max had "agreed to come back for a short stint" after Ben pitched a comeback storyline for the character. Ben was last seen on screens in 2023 after being arrested for an international crime. He's currently in prison in America but the character is mentioned regularly by his father Phil and husband Callum. Will we be seeing his return in the near future?

EastEnders fans fume as 'underused' characters axed from soap after eight years
It was an emotional night in EastEnders tonight as Bernie Taylor and Felix Baker said goodbye to Albert Square following announcement of their departures earlier this year EastEnders fans were left in tears during tonight's episode, as cousins Bernie Taylor and Felix Baker said goodbye to Walford. However, fans were left disappointed that the two had been "underused" as characters prior to their exit announcements, despite being big characters when they first joined. Bernie, who arrived in 2017, was part of a hard-hitting surrogate storyline where she suffered a tragic miscarriage. She also played a huge part in the The Six storyline during Christmas 2023. Felix was brought in as the soap's first show's first regular drag queen character in 2022, although fans hadn't seen much of him, or Tara before the lead up to his exit. Tonight, fans were left fearing for Bernie, after it was revealed she had been stealing from the Panesars business accounts - but luckily, she managed to escape for Spain before Ravi got to her. Although Felix initially planned to stay in Walford with his boyfriend Johnny, he was left heartbroken when he caught him kissing Callum in the Albert. He then confronted him about Keanu Taylor's murder, in which he admitted he knew his mum Linda was the one to end Keanu's life. It all got too much for Felix, as he ran to join Bernie in the taxi dressed as drag queen alter-ego Tara Misu. "Tara's too big for this town," he said. Bernie's departure also signalled a seeming end for EastEnders ' The Six storyline, as Suki asked her to give the money she had stolen from her family back before leaving. However, Kathy, Denise and Linda persuaded Suki to let her go, after they were involved in the death of her brother Keanu. "And you have got it all. Everything that you ever wanted. You can be who you are with the woman that you love. This money is a drop in the ocean to get away with what you did, to move on, to finally let me, my mum, my family, to be finally free of this," Bernie could be heard telling Suki and The Six. Bernie and Felix then headed off in a taxi in the midst of the Pride celebrations as the tune Proud played in the background. Ravi was seen attempting to run after the taxi - but it seemed like he was too late. However, fans were left disappointed that it was Ravi who got the 'duff duff' not Bernie and Felix. After the episode aired, fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter to express their sadness over Felix and Bernie's departure. "A beautiful episode and exit for Bernie. A real force of nature who'll be missed so much. I wish she was given a better exit storyline and I really wanted Bernie to have another relationship. I miss the Taylor family," wrote one. Another wrote: "Phenomenal performances from @clair_norris + @matt_james_morr this wk - am so sad this is how it all ended for the Taylor-Bakers, such a brilliant family + such a waste to lose them all - but they've both been amazing to the end + should be so proud of themselves," as a third dissapointed fan penned: "It's a bit disappointing that Bernie and Felix didn't get the duff duff for their final episode." "Bernie and Felix were absolutely brilliant today - they've been so underused really, but I'm glad Clair and Matthew got time to really shine this week," said a fourth. Clair took to social media to address her exit today, as she wrote: "My last ep airs tonight, and with that comes a flood of memories. " EastEnders was my first audition, and my first job. Having come from college & having no experience in this industry, Julia, Wayne & Sean all took a chance on me to play Bernadette Taylor & for that, I can't be thankful enough. 8 years later and honestly this job, has changed my life. "It's true what they all said at the beginning, Eastenders is one big family & I'm so lucky to have met and worked with some amazing people," she continued. "I will always have an attachment to Bernie, she represents so many girls out there who wear their heart of their sleeves and don't quite fit in…no offence to anyone who wear purple coats. …I have adored playing her and she will forever hold a special place in my heart. This has been the best first role ever!"
