Warwick Farm trials to feature spring's finest, including Lady Shenandoah and Ceolwulf
The big names - including horse of the year in-waiting Via Sistina – have been out in force this week tuning up for the spring with the next lot of stars to have barrier trials in Sydney's west.
Lady Shenandoah, Chris Waller 's winner of three Group 1s this season, will contest a 900m Group trial on the course prosper alongside Joseph Pride 's stars Ceolwulf and Private Eye.
Alalcance steps out in a 1000m Group trial on the course proper with Adam Hyeronimus aboard in her first appearance since her run of three straight autumn victories came to an end abruptly in the Sydney Cup.
Highly-promising stablemate Sir Delius is in the same heat with Doncaster Mile placegetter Encap.

Champion trainer Chris Waller's move into Godolphin's Carbine Lodge base at Flemington has opened the door for father-son duo Tony and Calvin McEvoy to open up a base at the track.
Waller announced this week he would be relocating his Melbourne team to iconic Flemington complex, which boasts 50 boxes at the premier racing venue.
His 31-box stable came up for grabs as a result with the McEvoys taking the opportunity to have another location.
The McEvoys will continue to operate their main base out of Ballarat.
Meanwhile, Godolphin's prized properties of Crown Lodge at Warwick Farm and Osborne Park at Agnes Banks are yet to be snapped up.

Punters shouldn't expect to see Golden Eagle runner-up Lazzat running in the $20 million The Everest – at least not this year.
The star galloper Lazzat is an $8 chance in betting for the richest race on turf but a second trip to Australia isn't likely this spring.
Trainer Jerome Reynier revealed plans to keep Lazzat's focus in Europe this carnival with an eye on returning to Australia in the future.

'Maybe next year The Everest for him if six furlongs is really his trip,' Reynier told Nick Luck Daily.
'You never know. This year we want to make him the best European sprinter and needs to win a couple more Group 1s races at that level.'
Lazzat highlighted his quality with victory in the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes during the Royal Ascot carnival.
Only four horses have been locked in for this year's The Everest after Jimmysstar was announced as the TAB's runner for 2025 earlier this week.
The world's best sprinter Ka Ying Rising remains a firm $1.80 favourite.

Adam Kingsley's side got that when young gun Finn Callaghan answered the call with a dash down the corridor, setting up a 15.12 (102) to 8.10 (58) win on Friday night. So dominant were GWS after early strife that they kicked eight straight goals - nine in total - in the third quarter for a 23-point lead at the final change. The home side had kicked just three majors in the opening half. Snaring their first win in six derbies, the Giants have effectively ended their cross-town rivals' campaign to muscle into finals contention. The in-form outfit move to fifth (13-6) with their sixth consecutive win, while Sydney languish in 10th (9-10) ahead of the weekend's clashes. A serious head knock to Hayden McLean further soured the loss, the Swans forward stretchered off in the opening minute. Sydney then lost defender Joel Hamling (hamstring) in the third quarter, while Giants veteran Josh Kelly's night ended prematurely with a calf complaint. It remains to be seen if the former All Australian captain will indeed face another suspension. Walsh looked to have pounced on a Joash Papalii blunder to score a late match winner, but the try was ruled out due to the Broncos fullback being off-side. The Eels held on for a deserved win in a seesawing epic to all but end Brisbane's top four hopes. MOSES STARS IN 'BITTERSWEET' MOMENT FOR EELS FANS Mitchell Moses proved why he's considered a top three halfback in the competition, starring for the Eels in his first game since Origin II. Moses has endured a wretched run with injury over the past two seasons and in 2025, has only played in seven games. It's no coincidence that Moses' poor luck with injury has correlated with the club's ordinary form but with the star half back on deck, Parramatta handed in one of their best performances of the season. Moses was in everything good the Eels did and his elite kicking game was evident for all to see. 'It's probably bittersweet for Parra fans as it's an insight into what they've missed,' Dan Ginnane said on Fox League. WALSH'S ACHILLES HEEL REARS UGLY HEAD At his best Reece Walsh is the best attacking weapon in the game, but unless he cuts the errors out of his game he won't be the best. Walsh put in a rocks and diamonds display to nearly pull the Broncos out of the fire, but his penchant for errors came back to bite him and his team. Walsh had 147 run metres from 14 runs to go with three tackle busts, a linebreak and a try assist and nearly the match winning try. But the fact he was off-side blew his chance at scoring the game winner and he also had three errors, a missed tackle and gave away the crucial penalty. Walsh is an absolute freak of a player, but he needs to cut the errors out of his game if the Broncos want to go all the way to a drought-breaking premiership.
