Carlito has opened up about his recent departure from WWE, stating that while he is a professional and will move on, he was not happy with how the company handled his final days. The former United States Champion's contract was not renewed in June, bringing his second run with the company to an end. In a new interview with fellow WWE alum D-Von Dudley, Carlito discussed the circumstances surrounding his exit. He confirmed that it was the company's decision not to renew his contract. How The WWE Run Ended Carlito explained that he was given very little notice about his status. He said WWE informed him just two weeks before his contract expired that they were not re-signing him and that he did not need to come to the final TV tapings. "The contract ended and they wanted me not to renew," Carlito said (H/T to Fightful). "They call it like two weeks out. You don't have to come to the RAW or whatever." He expressed frustration with this approach, feeling that as a veteran, he should have been allowed to finish his duties professionally. "I'm a professional. I don't like that... Treat me like a mark or something. I'll do my job... It's not the end of the world either." The incredible crowd reaction he received led to him being signed to a full-time contract. He joined the popular Latino World Order (LWO) faction, enjoying a successful babyface run. The final chapter of his WWE return saw him turn heel at WrestleMania 41, betraying the LWO to help Dominik Mysterio. Miley Cyrus Explains the Real Reason She Won't Go Back on Tour

THE RUNDOWN Miley Cyrus has decided not to go on tour for her new visual album, Something Beautiful, and she's sharing the personal reason why. In a Good Morning America interview that aired today, Cyrus revealed she made the choice to protect her well-being. 'I do have the physical ability, and I have the opportunities to tour,' she prefaced. 'I wish I had the desire, but I don't.' She pointed out the demands of life on the road: 'I also don't think there's actually an infrastructure that supports artists—the artists like Prince, that are not here today, that lived such a high-intensity lifestyle. You're out on the road, and it's hard to maintain sobriety when you're on the road, which is a really important pillar of stability in my life.' Not being sober, she added, can lead to people 'not only losing their life but losing their minds.' 'I do think it's really hard to keep mental wellness [on tour],' the singer continued. 'You have so many thousands of people screaming at you. You feel a lot of love, then you totally crash at the end of the show. You start thinking one person loving you is not enough. It needs to be 10,000. It needs to be 80,000.' Cyrus will still take the stage selectively. Last month, she joined Beyoncé during the Cowboy Carter Tour's Paris stop. They performed a duet of their Cowboy Carter track 'II Most Wanted' during the surprise appearance. Cyrus first spoke two years ago about her decision to stop touring during her June 2023 British Vogue cover interview. She said her 2014 Bangerz Tour was likely her last. 'Like singing for hundreds of thousands of people isn't really the thing that I love,' she said. 'There's no connection. There's no safety. It's so isolating because if you're in front of 100,000 people then you are alone.' When asked if she'd headline again, Cyrus said, 'I kind of looked at it as more of a question. And I can't. Not only 'can't,' because can't is your capability, but my desire. Do I want to live my life for anyone else's pleasure or fulfillment other than my own?'

Mike Johnson's Message to Pam Bondi Over Jeffrey Epstein Files

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. House Speaker Mike Johnson is signaling a break with President Donald Trump over the Justice Department's handling of the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, urging full transparency and public disclosure. "Put everything out there and let the people decide," the Louisiana Republican said in a recent interview with conservative podcaster Benny Johnson. Johnson also called on Attorney General Pam Bondi to explain the Justice Department's actions. Earlier this year, Bondi claimed officials were reviewing a "truckload" of evidence related to Epstein. However, just last week, the department announced that Epstein left behind no "client list" and concluded that further public disclosure would not be appropriate. The Justice Department's position has sparked frustration among many Trump supporters, who had anticipated greater transparency—especially after Trump's campaign remarks suggested a tougher approach to Epstein-related accountability. "The White House and the White House team are privy to facts that I don't know," Speaker Johnson said. "This isn't my lane. I haven't been involved in that, but I agree with the sentiment to put it out there." 🚨BREAKING EXCLUSIVE: Speaker Mike Johnson says he supports Ghislaine Maxwell testifying to Congress and demands the DOJ release everything they have on Epstein: "I'm for transparency. We should put everything out there and let the people decide. Pam Bondi needs to come forward… — Benny Johnson (@bennyjohnson) July 15, 2025 This is a breaking news story. Updates to follow.
