Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown on how local community boosts his recovery from surgery

USA Today21-06-2025
Star Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown may have just had surgery on his knee, but that has not slowed him down from holding his community events for his 741 Performance brand of athletic apparel. In fact, it is the reverse -- the Georgia native made a point of noting how his and Celtics fans who show up to his events have actually been making him feel better since going under the knife to repair a partially torn meniscus in his right knee.
Cohosts of the CLNS Media "Garden Report" podcast, Bobby Manning and Noa Dalzell, caught up with Brown after another community event held by the Cal alum this week, talking about his surgery, his ties to the community, and what has been going on with his offseason to date.
Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what they had to say about all of the above, and more.

Boston Celtics jersey history No. 27 - Jordan Walsh (2023-25)

The Boston Celtics have had players suiting up in a total of 68 different jersey numbers (and have three others not part of any numerical series) since their founding at the dawn of the Basketball Association of America (BAA -- the league that would become today's NBA), worn by well over 500 players in the course of Celtics history. To commemorate the players who wore those numbers, Celtics Wire is covering the entire history of jersey numbers and the players who sported them since the founding of the team. With 25 of those jerseys now retired to honor some of the greatest Celtics to wear those jerseys, there is a lot of history to cover. And for today's article, we will continue with the 13th of 13 people to wear the No. 27, Boston forward alum Jordan Walsh. After ending his college career at Arkansas, Walsh was picked up with the 38th overall selection of the 2023 NBA Draft by the Celtics. The DeSoto, Texas native has played his entire career to date with Boston, and remains with the team at the time of writing. During his time suiting up for the Celtics, Walsh wore only jersey No. 27 and put up 1.6 points and 1.5 rebounds per game. All stats and data courtesy of Basketball Reference. Should the Boston Celtics tank if they can't trade for Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo?

Should the Boston Celtics tank if they can't trade for Milwaukee Bucks star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo? The Celtics are in a bit of a reset season after star Boston forward Jayson Tatum went down with an Achilles tendon injury in the 2025 NBA Playoffs. While he seems to be okay with staying in Milwaukee for the present, it is not out of the question that he might want a change of scenery if things go sideways again. But does it make sense to tank if the Greek Freak is not coming to Boston? At least one fan of the team thinks so, and the folks behind the "NESN" YouTube channel put together a clip from their "Hold My Banner" show taking a closer look at that aggressive point of view. They also touch on some other pressing questions the Celtics will need to answer by the end of the offseason, so check it out below.
