After shaking up the music world with 'Ez El Arab' and 'Ba'oda Ya Blady', rap star Wegz and acclaimed Egyptian director Ali El Arabi are taking their creative partnership to new heights. The duo is now teaming up for their first feature-length film, 'Watar Wahid'.
Known for his emotionally charged, socially rooted storytelling in films like 'Captains of Zaatari', which screened at Cannes and Sundance, El Arabi brings his signature realism and global festival pedigree to the collaboration. Meanwhile, Wegz's voice, already an anthem for a generation, continues to evolve in new directions.

Also serving as voters are TV host, actor, and producer Mico Saad; journalist and editor Moetaz Elshafey; writer and critic Mohamed Hashem A. Tawfik; journalist and critic Mohamed Abdelgalil; film critic Wael Khairy; journalist Ramy Nawar; and Yasmine Shihata, founder and CEO of Enigma Magazine. The Golden Globes are among the most closely watched film and television awards worldwide. While Egypt has long played a central role in Arab cinema, its influence in shaping award outcomes in the West has historically been minimal. The inclusion of Egyptian voices on the panel reflects a growing international recognition of regional critics and cultural commentators. The 2025 Golden Globe Awards will take place on January 5th.

Tamer Hosny to Perform Live in Germany on November 8
Yara Sameh Egyptian superstar, Tamer Hosny will perform live at the Yayla Arena, in Krefeld, Germany, on Saturday, on November 8. He is set to present several of his popular and latest songs. The evening will also feature singer Ahmed Saad. During his performance, he worked alongside other rising talents including, Sherine Mohamed Abdel-Wahab; the performance was attended by renowned producer Nasr Mahrous. Ever since, Hosny worked closely with Mahrous and released his first album, which consequently achieved great success and opened the gates of stardom and fame, not only in singing but also in the entertainment industry. He made his acting debut in the 2004 film 'Halet Hob', co-starring Hany Salama, Hend Sabry, and others. Hosny is known for singing 'Kol Mara', 'Bent El Eh' and 'Aktar Haga', and for his roles in films such as 'Omar and Salma' and 'Captin Hema'.
