Cision Canada17 hours ago
WASHINGTON, July 8, 2025 /CNW/ -- Clarifai, a global leader in AI and pioneer of the full-stack AI platform, today announced the launch of AI Runners, a groundbreaking new offering designed to provide developers and MLOps engineers with uniquely flexible options for deploying and managing their AI models. AI Runners enables users to connect models running on their local machines or private servers directly to Clarifai's robust and scalable platform via a seamless, publicly accessible API, offering a "best of both worlds" solution for modern AI development.
The rise of agentic AI, capable of "thinking for themselves," setting goals, using tools with protocols like MCP, and solving complex problems, is driving an unprecedented demand for computing power. AI Runners directly address this challenge by providing a cost-effective and secure solution for managing the escalating demands of modern AI workloads.
"Agentic AI is driving significant compute demands, and AI Runners provide a practical, secure solution for every developer. It's essentially ngrok for AI models, letting you build on your current setup and keep your models exactly where you want them, yet still get all the power and robustness of Clarifai's API for your biggest agentic AI ideas," said Alfredo Ramos, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Clarifai. "Our goal is to make advanced AI development – from your first line of code to a deployed application – genuinely easier and more budget-friendly for creators everywhere."
AI Runners offer distinct advantages for developers and enterprises:
Unmatched Flexibility & Control: Clarifai is the only platform currently offering developers their models or MCP tools anywhere – on a local development machine, an on-premises server, or a private cloud cluster – and connect them to the Clarifai API without complex networking. This allows users to keep sensitive data and custom models within their own environment and leverage existing compute infrastructure without vendor lock-in.
Supercharge Your Models with a World-Class Platform: AI Runners allow instant serving of custom models through Clarifai's scalable, publicly accessible API, enabling integration into any application. Users can build complex multi-step AI workflows by chaining local models with thousands of models available on the Clarifai platform, all managed and monitored from a unified dashboard.
A Streamlined and Economical Path to Production: Simplify the development workflow, making powerful AI development accessible and cost-effective by starting locally, and then scaling seamlessly to production in Kubernetes-based compute clusters on Clarifai. With a straightforward onboarding process and transparent pricing, allowing users to start small and scale their operations as needed. Customers can save even further by leveraging Clarifai's Compute Orchestration in multiple clouds and on-premise Kubernetes clusters, which enables traffic-based autoscale to/from zero, batching of requests, spot instances, and GPU fractioning so you can run more AI workloads on the same hardware.
Pricing & Availability:
Clarifai is introducing a new Developer Plan at a promotional price of $1 per month for the first year (standard price: $10 per month). This plan empowers developers to utilize AI Runners and provides access to hundreds of the latest AI models available on the Clarifai platform to create sophisticated AI workloads.
Clarifai AI Runners are available now. For more information and to get started, visit the Clarifai website.

Committee on Internal Trade meets to strengthen Canada's economy Français

QUEBEC CITY, /CNW/ - Today, the Honourable Chrystia Freeland, Minister of Transport and Internal Trade, met with her provincial and territorial counterparts at the Committee on Internal Trade (CIT) meeting in Québec City to advance shared priorities and strengthen Canada's domestic economy. Over the past six months, the federal government worked with the CIT to facilitate internal trade and labour mobility across Canada by: Removing unnecessary exceptions from the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), creating new opportunities for Canadian businesses to buy and sell interprovincially and compete for government procurement. Reaching an agreement in principle to include the financial services sector into the CFTA by end of Fall 2025. Expanding the Mutual Recognition Project in the trucking sector to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Minister Freeland invited transportation officials and experts to a Trucking Hackathon on July 15-16 in Toronto to identify new opportunities to make it easier to transport goods across Canada by aligning regulations in the trucking sector. Advancing mutual recognition for goods (except for food) by December 2025, making it easier to buy and sell Canadian goods across the country. Committing to implement an Action Plan on labour mobility, including a 30-day service standard to process labour mobility applications. Signing a Memorandum of Understanding to implement a direct-to-consumer alcohol sales system by May 2026, at the latest. Agreeing to launch internal trade missions to foster business growth and promote trade across Canada. In addition, the federal government recently announced the elimination of all federal exceptions in the CFTA. The government has also successfully passed the Free Trade and Labour Mobility in Canada Act as part of Canada's new One Canadian Economy Act. This legislation will eliminate federal barriers to the movement of goods, services and labour within Canada, while upholding the health, safety and security of Canadians, their social and economic well-being, and the environment. The federal government will continue to work toward the removal of remaining barriers to internal trade and labour mobility to ensure all Canadian businesses and workers have access to a seamless and integrated domestic market. Quotes "Our government is spearheading measures to remove barriers to trade within our country, including removing all federal exceptions under the CFTA and removing federal barriers to the movement of goods, services and labour within Canada. We are making it easier for Canadians to buy Canadian-made products, building a stronger economy, and securing a more prosperous future for all Canadians." —The Honourable Chrystia Freeland, Minister of Transport and Internal Trade Quick Facts Trade within Canada is an essential driver of the Canadian economy. Eliminating barriers to internal trade will lower prices on everyday items, give Canadians greater choice, and increase productivity, adding up to $200 billion to the economy. The Committee on Internal Trade consists of all federal, provincial, and territorial ministers responsible for internal trade, and is responsible for supervising the implementation of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), including providing oversight over a number of CFTA working groups; assisting in the resolution of disputes; approving the annual operating budget of the Internal Trade Secretariat (ITS); and considering any other matter that may affect the operation of the CFTA. Global X is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Mirae Asset Financial Group, which manages more than $800 billion of assets across 19 countries and global markets around the world. Commissions, management fees, and expenses all may be associated with an investment in products (the "Global X Funds") managed by Global X Investments Canada Inc. The Global X Funds are not guaranteed, their values change frequently, and past performance may not be repeated. Certain Global X Funds may have exposure to leveraged investment techniques that magnify gains and losses which may result in greater volatility in value and could be subject to aggressive investment risk and price volatility risk. Such risks are described in the prospectus. The Global X Money Market Funds are not covered by the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, or any other government deposit insurer. There can be no assurances that the money market fund will be able to maintain its net asset value per security at a constant amount or that the full amount of your investment in the Funds will be returned to you. Past performance may not be repeated. The prospectus contains important detailed information about the Global X Funds. Please read the relevant prospectus before investing. The payment of distributions, if any, is not guaranteed and may fluctuate at any time. The payment of distributions should not be confused with an exchange traded fund's ("ETF") performance, rate of return, or yield. If distributions paid by the ETF are greater than the performance of the ETF, distributions paid may include a return of capital and an investor's original investment will decrease. A return of capital is not taxable to the investor but will generally reduce the adjusted cost base of the securities held for tax purposes. Distributions are paid as a result of capital gains realized by an ETF, and income and dividends earned by an ETF are taxable to the investor in the year they are paid. The investor's adjusted cost base will be reduced by the amount of any returns of capital. If the investor's adjusted cost base goes below zero, investors will realize capital gains equal to the amount below zero. Future distribution dates may be amended at any time. To recognize that these distributions have been allocated to investors for tax purposes the amounts of these distributions should be added to the adjusted cost base of the units held. The characterization of distributions, if any, for tax purposes, (such as dividends/other income/capital gains, etc.) will not be known for certain until after the ETF's tax year-end. Therefore, investors will be informed of the tax characterization after year-end and not with each distribution if any. For tax purposes, these amounts will be reported annually by brokers on official tax statements. Please refer to the applicable ETF distribution policy in the prospectus for more information. The Global X Bitcoin Covered Call ETF (BCCC) and the Global X Enhanced Bitcoin Covered Call ETF (BCCL) are each exchange traded alternative mutual funds that invest in other alternative mutual funds that invest, directly or indirectly, in Bitcoin. There are inherent risks associated with products linked to crypto assets, including Bitcoin Futures. While Bitcoin Futures are traded on a regulated exchange and cleared by regulated central counterparties, direct or indirect exposure to the high level of risk of Bitcoin Futures will not be suitable for all types of investors. Given the speculative nature of bitcoin and the volatility of the digital currency markets, there is no assurance that BCCC or BCCL will be able to meet their respective investment objectives. An investment in BCCC or BCCL is not intended as a complete investment program and is appropriate only for investors who have a sophisticated knowledge and understanding of Bitcoin and the capacity to absorb a loss of some or all of their investment. An investment in either BCCC or BCCL is considered high risk.
